Good morning! I am a NorthEastern from Canada, Quebec, southeast Quebec, in a very small town called Thetford Mines where many years ago Johns Mannville used to operate the asbestos mines! It is quite scary here since they closed down the mines and a large number of Americans started suing everyone associated with asbestos products for damages. As a new member to the UTV Board you should know I am 71 and in relatively good health, surprising, considering where I live. Other than the big hole that the Americans dug up and the miles and miles of rubish they left, it is a very beautiful place. For the last 20 years I live on a 110 acre piece of land that used to be a farm. The fellow that owned it is now over 80 and in fact the average age of Thetford is possibly 75. (Not certain) All I know is they appear older than I am. I also noticed that a lot of Americans that are suing for asbestos damage are also in their 70's and 80's. I guess asbestos kills slowly. Anyway, we enjoy our cottage and our unanimalled farm and get a lot of pleasure from cutting down a tree now and then to make wood or burn in our woodburning stove. The smell is wonderful when we go out in our snowshoes. P.S. we only cut down dead trees or trees that have fallen so please forgive us if there are any bleeding hearts that feel we are in the deforestation business. I have two kids and five gandkids, great, wonderful people! They enjoy both the cottage and the farm with a sailboat, skiing boat, skidoo and of course a couple of UTV's. Both of my machines are chinese made as are most other UTV's. Of course the American UTV's are American or are they? I understand many name brands have most of their parts made in China! Anyway, I used to be an executive who has now turned into a lumber man, sailer, snowshoer, gardiner and an avid UTV er! These side by side vehicles are wonderful, we get to enjoy going out as a family! I hope to get vital information that will help me maintain my vehicles from this site and I will also contribute on occassion as I find solutions to problems that relate to UTV's.

Welcome Toys, nice photos. I haven't heard of a Chironex before but most UTVs require the same attention so the best advice I can give you is look after your UTVs and they will look after you. Service them, keep them lubed, clean them and do a once over for loose bolts every now and then.

You do know that 70 is the new 50 so mate, your still a spring chicken.

Cheers Mike.

I bought this SxS brand new.  A couple of years after I bought it, I became disabled.  Thus it has only 47 miles and around 16 hours of use.  I have no need to keep the SxS.  I am in Foley, Alabama.  It is very hard for me to get in out of the Challenger.  I would like to sell the set, 2019 Challenger 400, trailer and uninstalled winch (this was bought brand new as well, someone was supposed to help this newbie install and we never got around to doing this). I want  $6500 for the whole set OBO (Serious offers only).

2024 villian overheating shuts down to crawl mode. If I turn it off for 30 minutes power returns to normal.

When I am moving forward on my Hisun 500, the motor accellerates up and down while I have my foot on the gas pedal.  It also is not idling very well.  Both symptons appeared at about the same time.  What should I look for?  Thanks.

DO NOT BUY ANY THING FROM HISUN Period! I had the axis 700 for 2 months when a rat or squirrel ate both wiring harnesses. (Main & ECM)Wanna know why? Because the manufacture of these things in their infinite wisdom use either, a soybean oil or a peanut oil to run the wires through the the wire loom. Hmmm i wonder why they would be inclined to eat the wires. So now I have $10K machine that I've only had for 2 months when all this happened and they will not warranty it at all. It is going to cost me $800 to $1000 to get this fixed. Here is a link to a video showing where we took our Hisun notice how many are there:

So counting mine, there are 16 of Hisun Axis on the lot that i took in for authorized dealer, with the exact same problem, plus other troubles that the mechanic explained to me. This particular place told me they are not going to work on them anymore. I will be posting this in as many places as possible to reach the masses. I hope its worth Hisun!

Just bought a brand new 2022 (NOS) Sector E1 with Lithium upgrade. (Single 135ah/200amp continuous). I've climbed a moderate hill in my woods probably 20 times since buying it. Today It won't climb it unless I am in Low. In High it almost makes it and then completely dies and I have to roll back down the hill. In Mid range (Max Range) I can't get 2 feet up the hill and the power output in only 100 amps, I have climbed this hill in every speed before many times. I put it on the trailer tonight and it wouldn't even get on the dang trailer in mid range. Torque is gone. That being said, when I am just cruising around in Midrange, it runs absolutely perfect with plenty of power. The only thing I did was charge it up, that is all. I charged to 100% using the charger that came with the battery. Before you think the BMS is shutting down due to overcharge protection, remember I am going UP hill so there is no regeneration AND I have done it before at 100% charge AND another big problem is that after 1 mile it is already down to 85% so it's not over charging and why is the battery draining so fast when I got 27 miles before. Battery output is fine in Low it pulls 200 amp up the hill just like normal so that doesn't point to the battery being the issue. All the individual cells on the battery are in line, so there is no dead cell either. I am tech savvy but to toward electric motors and I tried to cover all my bases. Please don't tell me basics like torque is reduced in High and Mid. The only thing I can think of is that I smelled something when I took my first drive today and I thought it was the Ebrake dragging but there was the correct amount of play in the cable and I jacked up the rear wheels and they spin freely. maybe something burned out in the motor, I do not knowm still runs great, we'll see if I have any trouble on the hills at the lake house this weekend. Maybe this is "Normal" and the settings were off before and was giving equal torque for whatever reason instead of 50% in Mid and 70% in High like the manual says....
For reference....this is it not even able to get on the trailer in mid range
