Not to worry Quiq, warms back up into the 60s within a week at the most. One reason we head South into Mexico chasing 80 degree weather in the winter time.

Well? Ok then! lol.. I thought going south, was going to ariz? We don't have passports? Guess we will deal with whatever we get in ariz & nev. ,,It's snowing here now!! Motorhome is supposed to be here this week? We might still head out? Not sure?

SOMEWHERE WARM! That would be New Zealand right now. Eat your heart out rocmoc. She sure is warm here but we have the humidity too and that makes it hot & moist, sticky in fact. Last week it was 24 first thing in the morning and a couple of hours later, it had climbed to a smelting 30 with 90% humidity. I would swap it for snow in a flash. I've seen the wild weather you guys are getting over there and Australia plus most of Europe too, so I do feel for you. It was so hot and sticky last night, I found my self walking along the beach about 1am this morning. Man the weather is going crazy.

Cheers Mike.

Good morning Mike & All. Nah, don't want the humidity thing either did that when I lived in NorthEast Texas. Good to see we don't have to worry about you freezing to death. Any Floods? Parts of Aust. is getting pounded.

Well, no snow yet. WINDY, 60+ mph and rain. If it does snow, suppose to be tonight. I don't think it is going to happen from looking at the radar. We are suppose to get into the teens tonight and that will happen. We usally get the teens once a year. Everything is wrapped & covered. Just been watching TV, too cold to even go out in the garage, LOL! Maybe today.

There is major flooding in the South Island but we are fine here. Just north of us and right up to the top of the North Island, just had enough rain to break the early season drought, but that’s all good news. It all got soaked up without flooding. That’s part of the reason it’s so humid, the other reason is the sea temp. is above average and moisture gets sucked into the air.

It’s just been reported that we can expect double the amount of tropical cyclones (southern hemisphere hurricanes) this season and where I live, we will get slammed .

Aussie is getting hammered and have not heard from my sister since Xmas who lives in Queensland, but out of the worst flooding area.

I saw something interesting the other day on the news about the gulf stream that runs up your east coast, apparently it’s slowing down and stopping. It normally carries warm currents right up the east coast into Canada & over to Europe. This helps to stop the weather you are getting now. Not sure if it has stopped or not, but the fact remains that the water near the coast is colder than normal.

Geez, Todd from N.D would be a bit of a hard man, but like I keeping on saying 4x4x454, if you get sick of some of that white stuff, post it over here, I’d love it.

rocmoc, I hope you and some of the others meet up with Quig when he is down your way. I’ve got to know him quite well over the last few months with a whole array of emails exchanged because of my enclosures and I know you guys will enjoy his company.

Your friendly weatherman, Mike.

After a few days of heavy rainfall I got in my Sidekick and noticed that the belt seemed to be slipping as I was making my way out on a large property.  I turned around and could barely make it back to my shop.  After removing the cowelling I noticed about a quart of water drained out.  I dried the area, the cover and checked the belt.  No signs of dammage, belt looks great and no foreign debris other than water in the area.  I put it back together and there was a definite improvement.  The Sidekick is driveable now but the belt still slips but only at a higher speed and only when the throttle is punched.  I'm wondering whether I may have inadvertently damaged it while it was wet and have ordered a new belt.  I have looked on line to see if there is a guide or procedure, specifically for the CVT belt removal and replacement for the 850 but can find none.  Does anyone have experience with this?

Haven't posted in a while since solving the excessive cabin noise issue, so I thought I would share a few upgrades to my Sector... Realize that this is driven daily on the street, so some of the mods are to make it more streetworthy.

      Locking gas door.

      Rear view mirror.

Modified windshield for better airflow in cabin.

Lowered and modified headrest bar for improved rear view.  Tailgate protector.

      Folding armrests.

Overhead utility rack.  Keeps the interior cooler and dryer, too!

      Folding rear seats.

      Dust cover and seat protector.
If anyone wants links to the rear view mirror, seats, or arrests, let me know and I will post.  But know that everything requires some level of fabrication.  The utility rack was all custom built.  Cheers!

We have 2.4 acres of forested mountain property with about 1000' of gravel driveway to plow and maintain.  My trailer is a Silverwing SW9f 5'x9' and we would really like to have something that seats 3 people.  I looked at Polaris, Yamaha, Can-AM, Kawasaki and so far the only thing that fits the bill is the Polaris Ranger 570 full size.
Just wondering if anyone else has ideas of other options new or used that would fit this?  I really like my trailer and it will be great to use behind the UTV also when i get it so i hate to have to get something different.
      Thank you!

Does anyone happen to know if the wires in the glove box are for a trickle charger? Black/red wire with connector at the end, normally to connect a charger but just wanted any input. Don't want to fry anything.
