Help, just bought a T2 and trying to get it running right

I found this forum trying to find any info I could on these things. I never heard of a Joyner, but I got a hell of deal on buying a 2010 T2 Trooper. It has a lot of problems and I am trying to work through everything. If you have a writeup or could even grab a part number off yours it would be extremely helpful. I have a rats nest of wiring to figure out.

1. Engine Idle-Starting it cold it will not idle. I have to hed down the gas for about 1-2 minutes and slowing bring it down to get an idle.

2. Dies when you push in the clutch when running high rpms-If i keep shifts slow and below 3K it will keep going, but if I run it up and then try and put the clutch in it will die.

3. Relays and fuses- I have spots where there should be relays and fuses and there is nothing. I need a part number for all the relays and the location that they should be plugged in. The manual doesnt call out anythign on the relay sizes. I think I can get all the fuse sizes from the manual. I should have this figured out tomorrow.

4. Fan control-The fan and headlights were wired into the turn signal switch. How does the utv handle the fan? Is it controlled by the computer to turn on at a certain temp?

5. Temp sensor doesnt work-This might be why the fan was wired into a switch. Need info on how to fix.

6. Fuel gauge doesnt work-Anything on this would be helpful.

7. Front and rear locker adjustment-If I could get pictures on the rear that would be helpful. The front looks right, but doesnt lock. The rear is missing the bracket that the front locker had going into the diff that located the cable and probably allowed adjustment.

8. Clutch-The sweet spot is at the very end of the pedal, almost where you would remove your foot from it. The sweet spot is also very small. Is your clutch like this or is there some adjustment that needs to be made. It also doesnt feel firm enough. Any input here would help.

9. Brakes-They dont work great. It stops the utv but it isnt very fast.

10. Lights- I would like to know what each switch should control and what plugs they go to. All I have is the roof rack lights working. The other switches do nothing and there are no more lights to turn on.

I appreciate any advice and help you can give. This thing is a blast but I really would like to get it up and reliable before I start doing serious trail riding.

Thanks

Thats a lot of stuff and a lot of your answers are already posted on this forum. I sujest your go tothe top of the forum pinned post and read everything from there down for about, well way back on topics. Like the diff locker adjustments are clearly detailed out. This happens to be in the pinned topics part. We will fill in the gaps for you but some of this stuff takes a lot of writing to detail out and it is already done for you. We will be glad to help but go thru the already explained stuff first. There is a lot of good solutions already posted.

Welcome to the forum.

I am trying to make my way through a lot of this information. I am trying to tackle the electrical and move on to the rest. Any help with the relay part numbers and locations? I already fixed my 4wd, roof lights, and winch by just moving a relay from one location to another. BTW I would like to see a picture of your supercharger setup. I have read about it but havent seen any pictures.

Thanks

Nick, If you have a relay I suggest going to Auto parts store and match up the relay. Few of us including myself had to redo the fusebox Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

The problem I have is I dont trust any of the electrical right now. I have a 20amp fuse plugged into every fuse location and I know that is wrong. I think the relays could be incorrect also. That is why I was hoping someone could give me part numbers. I attached a picture of what I pulled from the manual online. Everything in red is what I am hoping you can help me with. I filled in a few guesses on what the fuse could be based on the color but I was hoping to get some clarification.

Thanks

I am trying to figure out how to attach the picture so hopefully it will show up soon.

Does the UT500 need greasing?  Where can I find the fittings?  Thanks.

Since I’ve got about 7.5k mostly off-road miles on the old T4, the steering rack is pretty sloppy!
Installed a new one pretty easily though…
Had to use a new steering u-joint since the spline on the Joyner rack is a bit smaller/metric.
Used Latest Rage part number AC425152
      and a 5/8”- 36 spline - 3/4 double D shaft.

Hopefully someone out there is a T-Boss 410 electrics expert or a Massimo mechanic is viewing this. I parked my 410 and it was working great. I came back a week later and attempted to crank it and nothing. Turned the key and no power. Figured it was a bad/low battery so I charged it. Still nothing. Attempted to jump start it and still nothing. Usually when I put the key in and turn it to the first position, the display comes on and I hear the ECU and other items boot. Now it is doing nothing.
I slowly went through the electrical system and found the main fuse attached to the starter relay, part 71602 (pic 1) blown. I figured replacing this fuse would fix my problem. It didn't. I then ordered a new starter relay thinking maybe that part had gone bad and caused the fuse to blow, but a new relay did not fix the problem.
I have found a work around for starting the machine. If I take one of the purple/black leads (pic 2) and insert one of them in the bottom right of the starter relay (pic 1 and 3) then the machine will get power even with the key in the off position.  I'm bypassing something but don't know what. I can use my right hand to hold the wire against the lower right of the starter relay, reach over and hold the brake with my foot, then take my left hand and turn the key and it will crank. As soon as I remove the wire from the relay the machine shuts down. I have even removed the power distributor box and it will still get power when I touch the wire to the relay. Of course this is not the way it should work but if I can't solve this problem somehow I may just have to rig a connector to the relay and bypass whatever is causing the electrical issue. Massimo has told me the purple/black wires on my model are not used.
Any help in figuring what my problem may be or other items I can try?

      Hello All,
I got myself into a project with an MSU500 that I got after a dealership had done a teardown on part of the engine. The previous owner had been riding and it died. i was told the dealer said that whatever was wrong couldn't be fixed, parts not available. A bolt for the Starter Clutch had loosened and vibrated out destroying the Stator and shearing the Woodruff key.  I have replaced all of that and put the motor back together. My problem now is I'm a Carb. guy never touched an EFI machine and I am getting no gas to the motor. I have confirmed that there is No gas getting to the cylinder, it fires with starting fluid. The fuel pump is working, i have pressure to the Injector and power to the Black and White lead on the Injector and the same on the Red and white lead to the ECM/ECU. I have been reading and trying to understand some of the troubleshooting steps that I've found. I also have done the test with the Injector pulled out and put in a container and tried, not even a drop of fuel comes out. I have also tried with a New Injector installed with the same results.
I know this is not a Simple system but any input, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note: This probably needs a new topic. but while i'm and this will sound foolish but.
Does anyone know where the Fuse Box is on a 2016 MSU500?? Believe me I've gone thru everything Under the hood. It is not in with or near the battery box as one manual says. Not one the firewall, inside out under the hood. I have spent hours working on both sides of the motor and Under it and I've not found it there. And after looking up a New Part for this I can't even find what are shown to be the correct Leads from the wiring harness to Plug into the unit.
I thank you All in advance for any suggestions or info that you might be able and willing to provide,

      Robert
