Yes that's what I put on mine. It does not stick up past the wire but it hits a couple of braces you will have to redo and the 1 1/2 main frame your throttle body to hook your snorkel it will hit it to . I like the intake it seems to give it more low torque and with Silverbuillet cams I think it is the best bang for the money if you don't want turbo.

looks like the intake used on the buggies/and stock chery part...have tried on stock trooper...agreed with plumber,is a little too high for stock bracing...tried one on a bone stock powered trooper that had a modified rear cage,so height wasnt a problem...however unlike plumber,we didnt notice any real performance change (for the good,or bad) ...maybe helps with other mods?? my trooper, and any we have sold/modified,or turboed in the last few years have had the intake flipped...not for performance in the n/a ,but to get tps, iac, throttlebody up out of the dirt, and ease of other maint...Hardy

I dont cut and weld...leave adapter attached to head, flip oem section and redrill the adapter...the intake tract all lines up (as well as factory Joyner...lol) rotate throttlebody and remount throttle cable bracket...Hardy

I did the same as hfrick, just flipped the stock manifold redrilled and bolted it on. I don't have stock T/B, so my snorkel was custom anyhow no problem. If you go with a larger T/B you will be very surprised at how well it will run. It will add power everywhere from just off idle to the top and it will start better too. The one thing you should do is remove the stock tubes and filter and go to a larger dia. inlet and a better filter. I was told awhile back by Casey that the larger engines have a larger T/B that will bolt right on but they are pricey. There won't be a clearance problem with the stock intake when flipped. If you measure the one you have you may be OK but I am not sure about the one you have. One more thing take off that ribbed tubing on the intake and use smooth walled tube. It will let the air move freely no turbulence. The only area you want the air to bounce around is in the combustion chamber itself, makes a more complete burn.

I cut the tubes on the original adapter attached to the head, flipped it around and re welded it. Simple. Mine is turboed as well.

Interesting idea, how did you get a cut that was perpendicular and square enough to do that kind of a flip, I did the flip and re-drill on my yellow Trooper, but it was so long ago, I don't remember any of the details, guess I'll hit to photo archives.

I've been eye-balling my "new Blue" and it doesn't look like any of the bolt holes line up at all and on my yellow, I had to drop the 2 bolts at the ends of the manifold and I used AN3 in the center hole, same as a 10-32, but military grade, worked fine and still working. If I do it that way again, I plan to weld some extensions on ends so I can have a place to put the bolts.

Do either of you have any photos of how you did your manifold???

Thanks,

Jeff

I will try to take a picture in the next day or two...we flip and center the gasket on the intake, then mark/drill 3 new holes ..the center one is a bit#$ as its really close to the original...the end two locations we build a small bracket out of flatbar to carefully "pinch" clamp the ends....Hardy

I bought this SxS brand new.  A couple of years after I bought it, I became disabled.  Thus it has only 47 miles and around 16 hours of use.  I have no need to keep the SxS.  I am in Foley, Alabama.  It is very hard for me to get in out of the Challenger.  I would like to sell the set, 2019 Challenger 400, trailer and uninstalled winch (this was bought brand new as well, someone was supposed to help this newbie install and we never got around to doing this). I want  $6500 for the whole set OBO (Serious offers only).

Hello. I have a 2016 Massimo MSU 500. I was putting on a lightbar and i screwed up and didn't disconnect the battery so when i was taking of the positive cable to put on the power from the lightbar it sparked and now the utv has no power. I turn the key over and all i hear is a chirp. No lights or anything. Everything that comes from the battery to the jumper box up by the battery shows voltage but anything coming out does not such as to the winch or anything like that

Hey all, I was just wondering what you guys consider a necessary upgrade or spare part to have or mod onto your machine.
I'm going for a kind of shtf survival rig that's not going to be SUPER heavy and I'm looking at getting:
A spare belt (I keep seeing this mentioned everywhere I look so it must be important)
A spare tire and mount( So would I need a jack like one from an old jeep or something else?)
      Tire chains for the winter
And maybe a cargo bed upgrade so things don't slide out.
      Bumpers because duh.
I already installed high output lights and have a windshield, roof, back window, and winch. And I outfitted a Molle panel for the back of my passenger seat with extra supplies like food, first aid, and spare mags.
Any advise on increasing durability, longevity, and having something on hand because it's absolutely necessary would be a plus.
      Thanks so much!
