still waiting on parts …. talked to 2 other shops, both now refuse to even work on Massimo products because parts take so long and if its warrenty, 4 months to get paid is ridiculous .. they wont touch one anymore .. its just sad … Talked to an ATV /UTV engine  Rebuider , he says he thinks one of his rebuilt  Rhino engine would work on it , if not, he would let me return it.. So if this pattern continues,  RHINO here I come

Not yet.  Just got off phone with the shop trying to get it in.   Im pretty sure it is same issue as you either a gasket or head.   Thing runs fine with no signs of a problem other than antifreeze disappearing and then overheat.  Sadly I love the machine just not the headaches.

well, when we get both fixed, maybe can go riding together .. for about 30 minutes till they break again ..lol  ….Its really sad, it runs great for 20 -30 minutes.. then overheats and will not cool down  .. also we   have bypassed the temp switch on radiator to make fan run continuously now when key is on .... maybe that will help some by keeping the temps down all the time .. You might consider it too

Waterpump appeared to work before but was weak after new head install.. Did it cause the head problem? who knows?  EVERYTHING is  replaced now.. Got it back this morning.. drove it for about 40 minutes around my yard, but that's only 2 acres.. did not run hot.  RAN PERFECTLY!  has more zip , maybe it was losing compression. .. NOW, with the fan running 100% , the engine seems much cooler and way less heat from behind seats ..  . Tomorrow I ll go to my camp at Whiskey Bay on Sherburne Refuge.. I ll put it to the test there, got about 15 miles of trails to ride for UTV ,ATVs …. HOPEFULLY  I can get another 300 miles out of it …   Any progress on yours?  I would check pump and bypass fan switch.. Good Luck

Well fellows, there JOY IN MUDDVILLE TONIGHT.. I ran it all day saturday and half of today.. it was 95* outside.. It ran perfectly, and NEVER OVERHEATED!!!  Finally after months of frustration, and trips to the shop, it is working properly  .. We do have the fan switch on radiator bypassed to run continuously when key is on.. Theres far less heat coming up behind the seats now.. It did develope a small exhaust leak, but I dont even care ..  cheers

Good Luck... btw, took mine out yesterday again to the trails at the River... ran absolutely perfectly .. never got hot at all with fan running 100% now.. and I dont have all that hot engine air coming up behind the seats now..  And it was brutally hot outside. in the swamp .... 96* with a 110* heat index.. ran at least 25 miles... My mechanic did a good job.. hopefully this will end my problems from a couple years ... NO THANKS TO THE "EXCELLANT" SERVICE DEPT AT MASSIMO RIPOFF MOTORS .... ps  I removed the winshield  completely ,,, MUCH BETTER FOR DRIVER

Grewt to hear!  I just dropped new head and water pump off at the mechanic.  He is swamped but hoping to get it back in a week.  He is going to get a Yamaha gasket and see if it will work in lieu of the Hisun.   Fingers crossed.  Did they figure what caused yours to go bad in the beginning?

I have 31 miles on my new T-Boss 550. In order to start I put in nentural and the emerage brake on and push down on brake paddle, then trun ket and get nothing, with key still on I shift to reverase and the back to netural and it starts.  Anyone know what is happening.
      Thanks for your help

Runs fine just putting around the yard. Get it out on the road and about a half miles it runs out of gas. Let it idle for a few minutes and it will run for another half mile and do it again. Replaced both fuel pumps and filter. Does anyone know if I can get rid of the factory fuel pump?

I bought a 2017 Stampede 900 last fall that was new, old stock with less than 5 hours on it thinking that I would be getting a relatively trouble free UTV as compared to buying a used Polaris or CanAm, or Honda, etc. It's been a little quirky, but reliable. What I thought was just a minor issue with this model, the difficulty in shifting between R, N, L, H, etc., was just a characteristic of this model is now a big problem. I had to climb two very steep trails to get to the upper meadow of our hunting property, which seemed to stress the UTV more than usual since I was carrying some lumber to work on a platform for a hunting blind, and when I went to shift into park, I felt something give and it would not shift out of low, but it did move up into high gear.  I couldn't get it to shift at all at that point and the shifter felt mushy for lack of a better word. I was able to get it down to the lodge and when I investigated, I discovered that the straight, metal tube portion of the shift cable had bent to almost 90 degrees (see pics). I'm positive that it had already had some deformation that had happened previously and it had the right amount of resistance to bend to the point where it was unusable.
      I have two questions:
      1. I suspect that there must be some other issues that makes this UTV difficult to shift, and I'm wondering if this is a common problem and if someone could enlighten me on what could cause this to be difficult to shift?
      2. Have any of you had this happen and if so, how difficult is it to replace the shifter cable?
Any other advice is welcome, this is the first UTV that I've ever owned, so I don't know much about working on these or maintaining them. I'm relatively capable when it comes to working on my own vehicles in general, and I'm not afraid to take things apart and get my hands dirty.
Thanks in advance for any insight, I'll be traveling most the day so I won't get a chance to look at replies until this evening.
