Coleman UTV 250 Sputtering

gas pouring out the vent hose,,,, sounds like the float/ float needle isn't metering the fuel flow to the carburetor...

i read that most Coleman's have a 2 year warranty, sounds to me like you need to save some headache, file a warranty claim, for the running issues, and the crap QC.

Or contact Coleman (which i think is manufactured by HiSun motors) and ask them if they've ever heard of the Lemon Law.

Hi guys,

Just an update.

I returned both Coleman UTV 250.

After preparing a list of 38 issues on both UTV's.

Distributor agreed to take them back, and exchange for 2 Coleman 400 cc.

I might be asking for trouble or trouble just fines me.

Thanks for your support.

This forum is awesome. Keep up the good work.  5 stars for us newbies.

Does the transmission share the crank case oil with the engine or does it have its own oil seperate from the engine?

Hey guys! Newbie here. I'm an old man who's better with plowing a mule (4-legged kind) than these newfangled beasts. I, and a friend of mine, just bought new Coleman sxs and are having to finish the assembly. I've been reading on this site and I'm falling on the mercy of you experts. The only way I'm an expert is that an "ex" is a has been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure. LOL First off, the 2 buggies have no ignition switches. They seem to mount on the dash, not the opening in the steering wheel shaft cover, so we ordered new ones that are supposed to fit. They are 8 inches long, and have a 4-wired white plugin which is slightly rectangled when looking at the end of the plug. The trouble is there's nothing to plug into. There is a three-wire grey plug close enough to reach the four-wire plug, but of course, they are not compatible.
Secondly, the blinker, light, ect. unit on steering wheel just spins around when touched. I see no way in heaven or earth to secure it. I've looked at a diagram on the Powersports site, but can't detect how it mounted. Fellows I'd be so grateful for any help with this. Me and my mule will even plow your garden for free, for your help. LOL

      Hello friends,
I got my ODES Ravager UTV yesterday and after a couple of hours of driving when I go downhill I heard a strange loud noise a couple of times, like a gear skipping or maybe something from the differential.
It doesn't always happen and when it does it is heard for a few seconds and then it goes away and everything works normally, I'm worried if there could be some major malfunction or what could be the problem if someone can help me?
      Thanks a lot.
