We visited this topic a year ago but I want to see if anything has changed since my renewal is coming up.

I am insured for the street thu Foremost Insurance Company of Grand Rapids, MI. I pay $182 for full coverage, $250,000/$500,000 Liability, $10,000 Comp with $1,000 deductible. My broker is Marc B. Fischer in Scottsdale, AZ. Tel# 480-778-2078.

Anyone have something better? I already tried AAA & Progressive. No Go!

Hi Flatbed,

Yes that is the cost for next year's insurance. It is $1.00 cheaper than I paid last year. OK with me to contact him, hope it helps. I am also sending you a PM.

I get my insurance from State Farm. It took them a while to figure out what it was. I'm paying a little over $500 a year. I think I have a little more coverage but not that much. I figure along with a Trooper policy It is vital to have an umbrella policy. It's real cheap and it stands on top of all your other coverages. It sort of extends the limits. Say someone gets hurt and your responsible. Their medical bills cost $750K and your covered for $250K. You pay the last $500K and if that is all you have, your left pennyless. I think ( my wife handles it ) I'm paying about $200 a year for $1 million in umbrella coverage. Now, the injury woulod have to be $1,250,000 before I have to cough up.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to insult anyone by assuming you don't know about umbrella insurance. This is for those who don't know about it. I'm suprised at how many don't. And IMO is very important.

Hello Lenny,

I agree. We have our umbrella policy thu AAA along with everything else. Only problem is they will not cover the Trooper or Classic Cars. Great for everything else!

Hello. I have a 2016 Massimo MSU 500. I was putting on a lightbar and i screwed up and didn't disconnect the battery so when i was taking of the positive cable to put on the power from the lightbar it sparked and now the utv has no power. I turn the key over and all i hear is a chirp. No lights or anything. Everything that comes from the battery to the jumper box up by the battery shows voltage but anything coming out does not such as to the winch or anything like that

I had read in a pass post that there was a modification for the gEarsheft level to help prevent slipping out of gear.
I check the parts list and the assembly is out of stock.
Is there a design for the modification?
Mine has been working fine up till the last week or so., and getting worse.
I have made the cable adjustment and it still will not stay engaged unless I apply pressure to the knob.
Has the modification been mass produced or is it design, up and weld?
thank you all for any information you can supply.

      Update 30Sept2025
I contacted Alpha Sport. Com and asked if they had shift lever in stock has the modification made to their stock.  They are unaware of any modification.
I  made the modification myself. All went well, with the help of all the nots and photo in this group.  Thanks to all their hard work.
The installation went well, too, except for one thing. The cable mount in the engine compartment, are (2) 19mm (might be wrong on size) nuts holding the cable in place, in front of the lever. Once I made the modification, the connection to the lever is very tight. Did I miss something. I believe the angle is too tight. Please advise

Honest question for experienced riders - how much of a real problem is losing cell signal on the trail?

Context: I'm coming from the overlanding world where staying connected is a big deal (long multi-day trips, remote locations, solo travel). I invested in a cellular booster for my truck (around $400) and it's been worth every penny for both safety and convenience.

Now getting into UTVs and trying to figure out if this is even a relevant concern, or if I'm bringing truck-camping mindset to a completely different activity.

      Specifically:
In your experience, is cell coverage while riding a "nice to have" or a "need to have"? Do you actively try to maintain connectivity, or is "going off-grid" part of the appeal? For those who've spent money on connectivity solutions, what did you end up with and was it worth it? I'm seeing some cellular boosters marketed for vehicles in that price range, but almost zero discussion in UTV forums. Either it's not a real problem for most riders, or there's something about UTVs that makes traditional boosters impractical.

For those who ride in legitimately remote areas - what's your actual setup? Just curious if I'm overthinking this or if there's a real gap here.

I bought a used RTV 900 and was told it is a 2012. I thought I would verify that. I can't find anywhere I can look this up.

KRTV900A61057114 is the product identification number.

      Thanks for any help.

the regen braking on my e1 has stopped working unless (for eg) I am going down a hill in low and it's slowing things down to stick to the 10kph limit. when I drive and take my foot off the accelerator it's not initiating the regen to slow things down and instead just coasts at whatever speed it is at, or speeds up as the regen is not limiting it. the brake lights work, so it's probably not a fault with the sensor on the brake pedal

hoping someone else might be able to provide some suggestions on things to check, as the mob that I bought it off seem to have gone silent on me
