I bought a new Kawasaki Mule pro-MX a few months ago.  I've only put 45 miles on it (been using it around my 20 acres) but it has gone through 30 litres which works out around 7mpg (UK).  This seems extremely poor, as I've read some people getting about 200 miles to the tank.  It's been used occasionally to pull some heavyish loads but mainly chugging around the fields helping with maintenance or giving rides to kids.  My fields are flat/grass with no hard terrain anywhere.

Does anyone know why the mpg is so bad, and should it improve after its first service?

Wow! That's just under 1 liter per mile.  You should see a LOT of black smoke out the exhaust of that 2-cyl engine and maybe a rough running engine.  If you had an external leak in the fuel system that would be a very noticeable leak.  Being new, I would first check for a leakkng injector.   You can search for "poor gas mileage" and it will give you a few things to check.

Check your oil, since it is fuel injected make sure that gas is not going in to the oil.  if your fuel pump or if it has a carburetor either way is stuck on then the fuel is going somewhere most likely the crankcase on on the ground.  If it has a carburetor then your needle and seat are not set right and fuel is flowing out as you drive, if it is fuel injection then the fuel pump is running  too high of fuel pressure and the fuel is going into the engine's crankcase.  Check your oil level and make sure gas is not getting into your crankcase.

I realize this part is discontinued but im trying to find this exhaust pipe fir my dads 550.  His brother who has since passed bought this mule for my dad who is now 90 and he is trying to fix everything on it.  I'm willing to take a used one.  A new one would be great if someone still had in stock.  I'll take anything as long as it is in workable condition.   If anyone has any ideas for me im open to hearing them.  Thank you so much.

Haven't posted in a while since solving the excessive cabin noise issue, so I thought I would share a few upgrades to my Sector... Realize that this is driven daily on the street, so some of the mods are to make it more streetworthy.

      Locking gas door.

      Rear view mirror.

Modified windshield for better airflow in cabin.

Lowered and modified headrest bar for improved rear view.  Tailgate protector.

      Folding armrests.

Overhead utility rack.  Keeps the interior cooler and dryer, too!

      Folding rear seats.

      Dust cover and seat protector.
If anyone wants links to the rear view mirror, seats, or arrests, let me know and I will post.  But know that everything requires some level of fabrication.  The utility rack was all custom built.  Cheers!

I heard there's several off road festivals out that way. One or two post apocalyptic, the rest just rev and run. Anyone know a good one that offers camping? Any advice for out of state people like hauling, legality, and where to stay?
Ideally me and the missus would be down for camping out and setting up shop somewhere nearby. That way we can just wake up, load up, and ride.

I bought this SxS brand new.  A couple of years after I bought it, I became disabled.  Thus it has only 47 miles and around 16 hours of use.  I have no need to keep the SxS.  I am in Foley, Alabama.  It is very hard for me to get in out of the Challenger.  I would like to sell the set, 2019 Challenger 400, trailer and uninstalled winch (this was bought brand new as well, someone was supposed to help this newbie install and we never got around to doing this). I want  $6500 for the whole set OBO (Serious offers only).
