  1. If you have a multimeter u could turn it to ohms (omega symbol) and then put lead on one end of wire then put the other lead on the other side of the same wire and if 0 come up on multimeter the wire is excellent and if there's numbers the bigger number the worse, ol or error mean short or open in the wire Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  2. I have a 3000cfm fan on the radiator already and the warning light is in view easily at stock location at end of multiple switch panel. Im going to buy different radiator then ill let you all know how it do. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  3. I'd loved to go to moab I'm not sure what tires would work there. I'm planning on getting outlaw radials for around here When is the event? I still gotta rebuild my truck engine as well (toy hauler) Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  4. Kinarfi, Thanks for the opportunity to show my wife the pictures she's convinced now haha pictures speak thousand words. Ill have to figure out if i can come for jamboree when would that be? Rocmoc, i have lots of family members in Kansas and Missouri and yes Kansas is almost same except Kansas got more pastures we got more crop fields. I have been to salt lake city once but that was only dropping off a semi truck trailer back about 2001 i didn't get to do anything at all down there but its amazing there especially the thick fog in the morning i love good fog! We get lot of fog here too O yeah world is flat! If we sail to the end of the world we will simply fall off the world into abyss of nothingness I'm glad we don't live in that age! 5. Lol its actually mostly rolling hills around here but yeah no atv park want the trooper anywhere near there, i learned the hard way. I love going mudding and crawling and trails all that fun stuff But i do really want to come out to Colorado and Utah to explore the parks, and trails also possibly Tuttle park, KS it just take lot of convincing my wife to agree to the trip and come along as well. When i mentioned Utah to her she said "YOU ARE NUTS, We drive all way out there to just drive your buggy there?" Lol
  6. Just thought i'd share my video with you guys Its bone stock expect for exhaust mod it was done with rear end locked. I'm trashing my tires to get new outlaw radial on
  7. Lenny, army Thanks for the replies, it ease my concern of destroying differential gearset or the locker itself breaking. I guess Joyner said under 20 mph to cover their a$$
  8. Charlie, I totally agree with you about rear locked being all what we need for 95% of time. I drive with my rear locked at 65 mph all the time so i wonder anyone else doing the same thing? I'd have to say I'm brutal on lockers but i only engage and disengage at full stop.
  9. Hello everyone, I just noticed a sticker on the trooper dashboard "do not go over 20 mph with differentials engaged" I have been riding around with rear locked at max speed half of time and some times i spin all 4 locked up in soupy mud at high speed. My question is Have you been going over 20 mph with differentials engaged? Did you have any trouble from doing that?
  10. Rocmoc, Probably because those plastic end tanks would easily break or crack from vibration i think ill look for new aftermarket one maybe even bigger surface area one but with high flow low density fins would be the way to go i believe
  11. Lenny, I have that upgraded fan i bought it from a dealer that comes on here for $150 live n learn i guess. So ill just need a radiator or use my other extra one I wonder how did you mount your radiator? I'm not a welder at all
  12. Rocmoc i agree i have had great luck in the past with Ford Taurus 3.0 v 6 fans set up i pulled the shroud and writing everything and hooked it up in my 89 s10 it fit like dream Also will radiator shop change outlet on a plastic/aluminum factory stock radiator?
  13. Thanks a lot Lenny, did you go with generic brand fan? What vehicle was that radiator for? My temp get about 220 degrees and stay there then my ecm fuse 10 amp blew out. I have a 84 Corvette radiator I'm thinking about using on the trooper Also Lenny how did you deal with different hose diameters for radiator?
  14. Hello everyone, I have decided with my Joyner keep overheating only at high speed miles of driving over fifty mph would cause trooper to overheat so the radiator doesn't flow enough and keep getting clogged up with gravel dust Otherwise at all low speed it work great i want to know. Did anyone put in a different radiator? I'm thinking about a much bigger radiator and e fans set up
  15. I called up royal purple and asked for their sae/api certification ratings they said no they don't have any because it exceed the ratings so it shouldn't be labeled or tested at all. Makes me wonder Tinman got it right amsoil is the choice of semi truck fleet and taxi cabs fleet due to prolonged service intervals capable, Amsoil also claim to make better air filter than k&n because it's a dry filter and only need be vacuumed to be cleaned.
  16. This is cheapest I could find on google http://www.opentip.com/Tools-Home-Improvement/Steck-Axle-Popper-p-3623587.html I still would call around and see if your AutoZone or pepboys or auto advanced or car quest or napa store have near you before you buy this online or pull the cv off with a chain like others lol.
  17. Lol i know the feeling first few times i took my cv axle off my rear diff i used my 4 foot long pry bar the pry bar tried to punch me in the face fewtimes so axle popper worked for me but i have Lenny's diff rebuild kits and I'm scared to rebuild it at home due to basic minimum tools i have at home all my nice snap on tools are at work shop
  18. Charlie, how much fluid did you put in transmission? Is it atf or 75w-90 gear oil? I want to do royal purple in everything on trooper since i don't change fluids often here except for engine oil and filter. Also how often do you all change oil in engine? In my truck i do 3k miles and on my prius i do every 10k miles, My point is not all engine have same service intervals, my trooper have only 1100 miles now and i changed my oil when i got the trooper at 150 miles
  19. What oil filter for engine by royal purple, did you all use for royal purple with 3/4-16 threads?
  20. When i work on my trooper or any other vehicles i have that got at least one cv shaft with cv stub, Id go to oreilly auto parts and rent this tool "axle popper" It worked wonders for me http://m.oreillyauto.com/mt/www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/STE0/71410/N0675.oap?ck=Search_N0675_STE_-1_-1&mn=Steck+Manufacturing&mc=STE&pt=N0675&ppt=C0067
  21. I like that there's no tire mount on the rear storage box, open up some space but otherwise IRS too ugly (t4 too long for my taste) id take a brand new if I have the money until then ill keep my 09
  22. http://www.utvboard.com/topic/2692-exhaust-pipe-modification/ I simply cut off my falling off cat and then took the flange off header then cleaned it good and put a cut up exhaust pipe that came out of my 2.2 94 s10 It was a free but worthwhile mod for me
  23. So which is suggested? 12m bolt or 1/2" bolts?
  24. Kinarfi that's a nice box i was thinking about whole box instead, ricksrb i never saw that trooper with commando box on it but i googled up commando and saw box it looks good but i want barely bigger box but the tail lights would be mounted the same location as commando box but more recessed in the box to protect the taillights because i broke one already
