  1. can anyone out there tell me what the factory setting are on those EJK fuel controllers that silver bullet sold ?
  2. goindeep, i would be interested in pricing on that turbo kit as well if it was a bolt on unit that came with exhaust and intake manifolds. im not that good at welding pipe so its tough for me to build my own setup and make it work properly.
  3. thanks all for the advise, i think i will go for the thermostat housing spacer. spending the $12 is worth it for me if i dont have to drill and tap the head.
  4. anyone know where to put in an aftermarket temp sender ? i assume the original sender has to stay in place for the EFI system. i dont really trust the OEM gauge. i took several temp shots with an infared thermometer and it never reads as hot as the one on the dash and i would like to have confidence in the temp reading.
  5. my bad on the wording plumber, i definatly agree that its not right the way SB is handling MM order.
  6. i just received my fuel controller and A/F gauge from SB this afternoon, under 15 days just as Jose promised. not sure what to make of all the SB bashing but i am a happy customer. i will say that although i am a happy customer, i wont be placing any more orders with SB until merchant mariner is looked after. again, thanks for the parts Jose, i hope to install and be tire spinning by tomorrow afternoon.
  7. just received my fuel controller and A/F gauge today. I'm not sure what to make of all this SB bashing but all i have to say is I am a happy customer. I am going to stick with the boys on this one and say no future orders from SB until Merchant Mariner is taken care of in one way or another. here's to hoping MM gets his cams because i would like a set too, although i will not be agreeing to pay 100% in advance.
  8. just checked USPS tracking site and it says that my package has cleared Canada customs, it should be at my door in a day or two. i am eagerly awaiting my 11 HORSEPOWERS !!!
  9. for the fan, i installed a relay and auto reset circuit breaker, never had any issues since. i used the original fan 12 V+ wire to switch the relay so the fan runs the same as factory, i pulled 12V+ straight from the kill switch to a 30 amp auto reset breaker and then into the relay feed, from there i ran a 10 ga wire directly to the fan. i pulled the original fan fuse and replaced it with a 5 amp fuse as all it does now is switch the relay. when i get the fan into the water it will trip the circuit breaker but as soon as i get out of the water the fan comes back on automatically so i never have to worry. i think with a good power source the fan sounds like it is turning faster but i never tach'd it to see.
  10. i know nothing about engineering but wouldnt the shorter runner length and port match make the difference ? my thoughts are with the throttle body closer to the head, thats where the throttle response comes from, again just my thoughts. i dont know how this actually works.
  11. i just ordered the fuel controller and air/fuel gauge from SB a few days ago, then i found this forum and started reading all of this, Jose said he had both items in stock and they would ship out that day, i hope this is the way it works out. gotta say, a little worried after all of the negetive feedback on this site. i will be sure to post when i get the order. Jose told me MAX 15 days shipping to me up here in canada.
  12. as far as requesting specific pressure's, no i didnt. they came right out of the cataloug. just had to figure out the springs i wanted.
  13. as i said, all 4 are QA1 Fronts are a DS702 with a 14-110 spring Rears are a DS902 with a 14-300 spring i ride the foothills and mountains and on most trails dont make it out of second gear. This is why i have it sprung so light, with just the driver seat full and a light load of supplies it rides like a dream, when both seats are full and enough gear for 2 it is definatly too light, over medium whoops the tires get into the fenders a little. the fronts are a dirrect bolt in, the rears need limit straps to keep the axle's from rubbing the trailing arm. i am a newbie on here so if someone will tell me how to upload pics i have a few.
  14. why did you flip your manifold ? is it something that added any power ?
  15. anyone else out there have a tach thats slow to react to engine ? whats the fix ? or is there an easy way to put in an aftermaket one ?
  16. will have to get the part numbers, in comparison the the original shocks, this thing rides like a couch, right now its setup perfect for just me and when the wife gets in the springs are a little soft. she doesnt ride that often so i think i will just leave it.
  17. i am running QA1 shocks on all 4 corners, they were pretty much a direct bolt in. single adjustment screw for up and down. im in Canada so the supplier i used is probably out of the question down there. VERY happy with them and total price, dealer installed was about $ 980 cdn. now that i have them, i wonder why i rode so long without.
  18. i tried 31's on my 08 and they scrubbed when turning hard if the suspension was down, now went to 30" Zilla's and am much happier. no rub no matter what you are into.
  19. i went down to the local muffler shop and found a 2" baffled glass pack bottle for $30. going to try putting it on this weekend. will post a pic and results.
  20. thanks rocmoc, winter is coming up here in alberta and i dont ride it in the snow, i think this winters projects will be to try your caulking, get the steering rack looked after and hopefully find a good electric power steering kit to install. i am also having the same oil pressure problem many other talk about so i think the cooler add on is in order.
  21. new to the forum, had a 08 trooper t2 for 3 years and was online looking to see what was availabe for upgrades, seemed to find the most info on this site. have added 30" ZILLA's and a set of QA1 coil overs. i have ordered a silver bullet fuel controller and air / fuel ration gauge. i hope it performs as advertised. have had to replace the 4 wheel shifter ( was full of water ) and the fuel sender crapped out on the last ride. currently have about 1350 miles on it and my only real beef with it is all the rattles, they seem to pop up everywhere, fix 1 and you find a new one the very next day. thinking about power steering, does anyone have any recomendations on this ? thanks
