  2. What would be the cost on this system, do you have a rough estimate?
  3. if the contacts in the solenoid are dirty or corroded, the starter will not work. I had a trooper that the starter would do nothing but click but if you turned the key and held it and had someone cross the post's it would start. Also if the battery is down some, the plunger in the solenoid will not hit hard enough to make a good contact. has it been in water?
  4. I have had the a time when a trooper wouldnt start, but you could here the solenoid clicking. If the battery falls below 12 v it sometimes does not have enough juice to pull the magnetic plunger hard enough to complete the circut to the starter. I would make sure the wires are clean and tight on the starter and that you have a fully charged battery. I have only had one heat up if the fan quits running and we run in muddy timber, I have found on 2 units, the plug for the fan was not geting a good conection. When you would turn the key on the fan would work but as you drove it sometimes it would not. I found the bad plug right below the radiator. All of the units we get usually show the oil pressure very low at idle and about 40p when your foot is on the gas.
  5. If you need a part, I should be able to order it and have it go straight to you, otherwise I would have to get it, then mail it to you.
  6. I cant tell you exact but they are mabe 3/16".
  7. There is a allen screw below the fill plug, when it runs out of it the diff is full
  8. I dont blame you for being upset and I agree with you. At the same time I think things will get better and even though we are in MO I would be glad to help you or anyone else any way that I can. You can PM me here, email me at [email protected], or call me at 573-478-3203. Rusty. By the way, I can get your parts ordered and get them shipped straight to you from the factory.
  9. I do think that Joyner is going in the right direction and I think that they some of the best ideas out there for sidexsides. I also know that they are very busy but they have still helped us out when I have called my rep on a Sat. night and that means alot to us. Everything that we have had an issue with, they have helped us and gotten on it very fast.
  10. I think that the best thing would be if someone could find double piston calipers that would bolt on, it would be worth the $ to switch them out.
  11. I think that the 20hp increase should make it drive like it did with 27" tires when you have 30" on it. But I agree, I would like to see a increase in the torque and I would like to talk with someone that has drove one around and can give a good description, the same with a turbo. I do value the opinions that I get off of this site and I am glad to get the responses from all of you. Thanks, Rusty
  12. I think that it looks very good. How much did you end up spending on it if you dont mind me asking?
  13. I can get you in touch with a guy that makes them if you want. I will have to dig through my papers and find his number.
  14. Have you drove a trooper with the turbo?
  15. Any info on the headers, chip, or turbo that anyone can give me, I would like to hear. We did notice that the headers are made with each tube being different lengths, it would do some good to make some all the the same length for even flo and backpressure. As far as the chip being 900$, I don't think that is extreme, I know with 4-wheelers or any other sideXside you will put alot more than that in it to get 20hp. Although if it is going to have problems down the road I wouldnt want to mess with it. The guy that I talked to said that it kicks in at 1500rpm and that he has had no problems with them, I was just wanting some more opinions on them. Thanks, Rusty
  16. I was wondering if any of you have put a turbo on and how it was, how it runs? I was thinking of putting a 20hp chip on the next one we get in. I think with 30" ITP's and the chip, it should run like it did with 27" tires. Any imput or opinions would be appriciated.
  17. I was just curios of you used to paint the bars. I used spray paint last time but i know that wont hold up. I thought about using a roll on bed liner if I could find some that will stick good, thought it would match up with the factory texture better.
  18. I talked to Casey at Joyner yesterday and he said that they havent started making them yet, but that it is in the making and that he would tell me when he got proto's in. I would think that it may be awhile yet but I think it is a good idea. If anyone else gets a price on cutting new ones, I would like to get some info on them, price, where at, etc.. As soon as I find out more I will post it.
  19. I cant tell you where the connection problem is but I went through the same thing as you. I took every plug apart and put die electric grease in them and have not had a problem since. There are alot of plugs around the engine that are very hard to get to. We pulled the engine in one and greased everything. I think that the two that give the most problem may be the two O2 senser plugs that come off of the pipe. Take those apart and fill with dielectric grease and see if that helps, you may have to cut some ties to get to them. If those dont read right, nothing works right. If your going to be in the mud alot you may also want to drill a hole in the bottom of the fuse box behind the seat so water and mud can get out and we also sealed the top of the relay box on the passenger side because when you splash water or mud it will fall right on top of it from behind the dash. It needs a flap covering the back of the dash so water and mud will fall back down to the ground and not on the electronics.
  20. in my opinion, for needing a long reach, we always carry tow straps with us all the time. Tie off with the strap, then hook your winch so you don't have to pull your winch all of the way out. The factory winches from joyner are not that good for the riding we do. The mile markers are alittle cheaper but have never had seen one last a year. The Warn is the only waterproof winch that I know of, they are quiet and smooth, well worth the 400-500 dollars.
  21. I will try to find out when they think they will have the sets available and let you know. I think the planitary system will be awesome, but the added weight would be my concern.
  22. We just put 30" ITP's on a trooper and put all of the bars on, (fender bars, rock rails, etc.). It did take some power but I like it so far. I found out yesterday that Joyner is trying to get a ring & pinion set that is lower and a set that is higher to offer for the trooper. I did'nt ask specificly about the renagade. Also there is a company making a fifth gear ass. that you slide in that will bump up top speed on a stock trooper. I am waiting on the info to find out just how much for sure. One person said 70 and one said 79.
  23. where we ride, you don't want to be any wider than what they are stock, but I think you can get them straight from Joyner if you want them. I was pricing a unit and HID lights for a customer and noticed them advertised at Joyner.
  24. I didnt know if anyone had found a electrical connection that had a moisture issue more than others?
  25. On Fri. I washed the trooper so I could take it to a poker run on Sat. When we get there Sat., I unload and drove around the lot before hitting the trails and it started missing. It seemed, it would come and go for alittle while so I got out and made sure the fuel pressure wasnt droping at the regulator and it wasnt. I took off again and it started missing so bad it wouldnt hardly move so I pull the lines off of the regulator and drained it, put it back together and it missed just a little bit at idle. I then went ahead to the trails and it cleared up withing a few minutes, but every time I shut it off when we would stop, when we took off again, for a few minutes it would run rough and miss, then clear up. At first I thought that water was in the fuel but as the day went on I think it was electrical. Has anyone experienced anything like this. I was there to try and promote our dealership and I wasnt in the best of moods when it kept missing. Besides that, the trooper held up well against everything else, in fact I think I stood out pretty good.. Also it was a 11 mile trail through the woods and creeks, when I started the odometer had 50 miles on it and when I was done it had 162 miles on it. It is my demo so I will call for a new speedometer tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone had seen this either? Thanks for any imput, Russ
