  1. Rocmoc: Thanks. Although I haven't noticed any steering problems (always driven in desert), the front end just doesn't look quite right and we though we would check it, if we could get the right info. Iam going back to Arizona this week and we'll check it against the info provided by you. Happy Trails
  2. Does anyone know the complete specs for the front end alignment other than the 3 degrees camber and .98 inch toe in provided by the manual for a T-4 Trooper. Although not a mechanic myself, I understand from a friend of mine, that more info is required to set up the front end correctly. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
  3. Mike: Glad to help you out. Thanks for taking care of Gordy on your end. Happy Trails Dennis
  4. Sounds like you're having way toooo much fun playing with your toys. Enjoy! Happy Trails
  5. I'll send you a message with his and my contact info tomarrow so we can set it up for you. Dennis
  6. I don't know where Gilbert is from Bullhead but you can have them, no charge, if you pick them up. Iam not always there but a friend of mine is for the next few weeks and I can make arrangements with him. Let me know. They had about 500 miles on them before replacement with kings.
  7. Wow. I have a full spare set of shocks used from my buggy if your interested in stock replacements. They're in Bullhead, Az. You must have jumped that off a cliff. Glad to see you're still alive.
  8. I heard that same story from buggy world. According to them, they had a customer that had registered theirs in California, the guy installed a windshield, flashers for the emergency lights, dot approved tires and rims. I leave mine in Arizona and it's street legal there. I wonder if it's possible to register it in Arizona as street legal and then transfer the regristration to California? Good luck, let me know what happens.
  9. I have a set of Kings, also. I ride in some really rock strewn/gravel terrain in Arizona at times so mine are set on the soft side. Front nitrogen at 100lbs and the rears at 125lbs. I've played with the spring preload and found that the best setting for me was just the way they came. Sorry I can't measure that for you at present, the buggy is kept in another state. Got to tell you though, mine rides like a caddy. Although pricy, replacing the shocks was a must for me, the stock units were just too harsh for this old back. Enjoy
  10. I contacted Joyner directly and had a very good response from them about a tire problem. This was my contact address [email protected] Hope this helps
  11. Extreme Mini Rails Laughlin, Neveda. I'd rather eat black widows than go back. Good line of b.s. at point of sale and then nothing. Even had to chase them for the title.
  12. I have a complete set of shocks with about 500 miles on them that Iam not using, if your interested. Although, I got to tell you that the rears would develop a squeek in them after a long ride (probably from all the dust). A little silicone spray and they'd quiet right down. Let me know.
  13. I replaced all of them. Area that I ride in is rocky desert terrain and the stock shocks were just too stiff. Even playing with the spring preload and nitrogen pressures they were just too harsh for my bad back.
  14. Left rear tire, pin hole leaks at top of side wall. Leaking from day of delivery. Rear shocks squeaking after 1st ride, finally replaced with Kings. Misc. loose bolts. Rear differential leaks oil at seals after 1st oil change, my fault from overfilling although the front has never leaked. Top acc. cargo rack rattles like crazy. Repaired it a couple of days ago. Flat right front tire, rips in side wall, might have been those rocks I hit, now the spare with tube inserted.
  15. Iam thinking about buying one of the two kits that Iam aware of for the troopers. By the way, someone mentioned to me that on the newer models the injectors are smaller and that it is necessary to replace the injectors to eliminate a lean condition with the addition of the turbo charger. Something you might look into? Anyway, thanks to everyone for your input and I'll let you know if I go ahead with the install.
  16. Has anyone turbo charged their trooper? Has it held up well? Any mechanical problems, clutch or trans?
  17. Don't laugh $2500.00 to $2800.00 Az Bound
  18. The shocks specifically for T-4 or T-2 can be purchased thru McCoy Motorsports or Buggy World. Although Buggy World is a little more expensive, that's where mine were purchased. They're about 150 miles from my primary residence so I drove down and picked them up, you know a bird in the hand and all that. Also, I thought that Buggy World would have more experience in the desert, where I ride, as opposed to McCoy who is located somewhere in the southeast. Little different terrain. As for the specifications, I think these guys are trying to keep it a secret because I contacted other King dealers with no luck. If you like I can read the info off the shock and get back to you when I return to Arizona sometime next week. Bye the way I've lurked around the site for a while and have really gotten some good info from you guys. You know, I had to go out and purchase replacement shocks to get a decent ride and you guys are making them. But I've got to admit mine rides like a Cadallic now.
  19. Only on the rears. All the noise disappeared after turning the adjusters back about two turns. If you look at the springs the coils are turned down too tight and after a while I think the paint between them rubs away and then your left with metal to metal contact. Even after eliminating the noise problem I still wasn't happy with the ride in Arizona terrain, so I broke down and purchased a set of King shocks, no comparison, what a difference, a little pricy but worth every penny. Now I've just got to get rid of those stock tires, maybe some radials?
  20. Althought it's a little late to add a comment I'll go ahead anyway. My T-4 Trooper developed squeaks right after purchase. I'd spray silicone on the shocks and mounting locations, grease the trailing arms, anything I could think of. After about a week of this nonsense, it finally dawned on me , at least in my case, that the spring preload was set too tight and that the spring coils were rubbing together combining with the dust and making all the noise. Just turned them back about two turns and the noise was gone forever. Hope this help someone. Dennis
