  1. need slack in cable and twist to side of pin, pin has a slot that the cable slides through to the side. wish i could explain better.
  2. If you have a radio shack near you they might be of help.
  3. Nickb1907, Welcome to the forum. Im sure you will find all the info you need as Lenny said. It would also be a good idea to fill in your profile and let us know more about you and where your located. There might be another trooper owner in your area that could help.
  4. I havnt had the pedal sticking because of rocks but did have some coming in. solved it for the most part by buying floor mats to cover the holes joyner put in the floor panels. It also helped with the dust coming in through them.
  5. HELLO..... Any one out there??? Its Friday morning the 21st and not sure if i am the only one that survived.. If anybody is out there I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and safe New Year.
  6. You should have told her not to worry unless the left rear wheel also was 4 feet off the ground.........
  7. I spoke to Jose at silver bullet about two weeks ago and they were still in business.
  8. I thought Joyner usa ended up as jmc??
  9. I had contact with Casey there last week.
  10. if it was thr rings i would say because back at the start of April i noticed a hose clamp had come off the hose at the throttle body and there was dust in my intake. But with the leak down test it appears to ba an exhaust valve and not sure how that happened. I only have about 1700 miles on it.
  11. try and answer all at once. Lenny, No it was with exhaust manifold on. I hate the thought of messing with the shims from all i have heard from you guys. goindeep, yes i made sure it was tight. I did compression test on all cylinders two or three times. On the leak down test i made sure it was at tdc each time i did it. nocturnalsixer, yes, i also made sure throttle was wide open. whats puzzleing me is the #4 now.
  12. Okay, a bit puzzled now. I did a leak down test last night. I found that on #3 i have air coming from exhaust and nowhere else so that tells me exhaust valve. On #4 which on compression test showed 120 lbs same as #3 i could not hear any air coming out anywhere. I checked exhaaust, intake, oil fill on valve cover, and radiator for bubbles. In fact pressure was building up so much it started leaking air from fitting going into spark plug hole. Just to make sure i repeated 4 times with same results. Any thoughts?
  13. I have checked for air bubbles in the radiator but was not any, that was one way i was told to check for a head gasket leak. I will be doing more testing soon but want to get by until end of season before i tear into it.
  14. Welcome Jerry, Hope you have many years enjoyment with your mule.
  15. You want to trade mother in law's ? in fact even if yours couldnt sew i would trade ? better yet i will just give you mine....(LOL)
  16. so it does sound like the rings to you? i did a search earlier and read about you doing that to the cross member. So i guess i can order the all i need from JMC right? I have been running mobile 1 oil.
  17. Decided to run a compression test and got some disappointing results. #1 - 162 #2 - 160 #3 - 122 #4 - 120 look like i need rings? i do have some blow by but not sure if what i am getting is abnormal or excessive.
  18. towing doubles really narrows down to where you can go and with the trailer you will probably be at the limits of your 150 anyway. Here is a link to another option if you were to get a regular travel trailer(not a 5th wheel) but again you will be pushing your limits. http://www.miltonsandtoys.com/carriers.html
  19. no trouble with mine. Only problem i have is my biceps have shrunk, dont need anywhere near the musle to steer anymore.
  20. with the problems i still would not sell mine for that reason. It may not be the best looking model out there but i see all the other brands being towed in and broke down all the time.
  21. Mine appears to start where the swing arm kind of turns out towards the wheel mount, roughly half way between the shock mount and the end of the swing arm.
  22. I tried almost exactly that. I put the jack stand under the swing arm at the point it looks like the tweek starts with the wheel off. I have a 35 year old heavy duty floor jack and the jack handle is about 5' long and i tried using that as leverage to twist it back. I jumped on it and all that happened was it kept lifting the trooper up. Handle never bent. Lenny, what do you mean i drive fast????? when ive been out with you guys all of you have to run with your emergency brake on just so i wont fall too far back out of site...(lol)
  23. i get the moving mounts out close to tire and boxing it in.But got to take the tweek out first right? only way i can think of is by heating it up and bending it back, any thoughts?
  24. yea i know its happened to others. One fix to help prevent it is to relocate the shock mounts out towards the end of the swing arm but of course i did not do that.
