On mine , in neutral, wide open throttle for 5-6 seconds. Sounds scary, but that’s how it’s done. I have a 2022 hisun 500 Pop Bob

How fast will it travel? Seat belt fastened? Possible fuel filter? Fuel contamination? Do an ecu reset. Pop Bob

Thanks for the file. For those who do not have a 3D printer, I cut the two front seat belts on a junked Chrysler minivan and used the clips. Pop Bob

First change at 10- yes. Filter too of course. Every 25-30 after that is fine. Make sure you use oil which is JASO compliant Don’t forget to put a squirt of grease in everything at each oil change. I also change my fuel filter every other oil change. Don’t know where you live, change your air filter annually. More if you drive it year round or in dusty environments. Were the pieces hard like straw, or pliable like some sealant squeezed out into the interior and then broke off ? Does it run ok? I would definitely follow up in 5 or 10 hours with another oil and filter change. Good luck Pop Bob

I’m ready to buy a second machine. I looked at a Gator and a Mule. They are larger than I want. Something more trail size will be better. That being said, I do not wish to purchase from a big box store again. Can anyone recommend a good dealer who sells Hisun based machines? Also, any thoughts on a machine with enclosed cab, HVAC, and modern electronics Pop Bob

Welcome. You and I have probably the same machine. I’m one year, and a hundred hours into this unit. I have to say, I’m really enjoying it. It does a great job for me. I find it easy to work on. Well, easy enough. Watch your temperature, keep your fluids and filters changed and keep everything greased. Check your a-arms to make sure they have grease fittings installed. Mine had the holes, but no fittings. Make sure you hold pressure on the shifter when you first move in low range. They sometimes don’t go all the way into gear. The clock in the display can be a little confusing. There’s a thread on the site which explains how to set it. Other than that, have fun. Pop Bob

I don’t think I agree with the tech’s advice about off road only. The machine doesn’t know or care where you are. Now there will be added stress to the clutch on road if you make tight turns. This is because the rear wheels are fighting one another and increasing rolling resistance. However, off roading also increases rolling resistance. Compare pushing a loaded wheelbarrow on concrete vs across the lawn. Point is, just drive the machine and don’t worry about this stuff. If the clutch wears out- replace it. About the only thing I’ve found that can’t be fixed is stupidity. And as yet I haven’t detected much of that on this forum. Pop Bob

Trucker for over 50 yrs here. Put the front wheels firmly against the front of the bed, put chocks under the wheels, angle your tiedowns so they are pulling down and slightly forward. Your machine will not move. Take off the tailgate and pull your trailer. Pop Bob

I would assume that would be “a” place if not “the” place. My vector 500 does the same thing, but judging by the length of time it remains on, I sure hope it’s not taking that long to build pressure. Mine is one year old next week, just turned 70 hrs. So far, I honestly could not be more satisfied with it. It has a couple of annoying little bugs, but It hasn’t left me high and dry yet. I think come winter I’ll poke around and check valve clearances and general inspection, adjustments and change trans and dif fluids along with oil and filters before laying it up. After my initial anxiety about buying a sub par product, I am now really glad I bought it. I’ll probably buy another one but if I do I’ll get it from a dealer, not a big box, even if I have to travel a few hundred miles

I had the same problem on my vector 500. I could not easily trace the power supply from the radiator sensor fan switch back to its origin. I wound installing whole new bus for accessory use in the glove compartment. I ran a fused #8 wire to a relay and trigger the relay on when the ignition switch is turned on. I then ran a fused wire to the sensor/fan switch. It works fine, no problems yet. I also installed an indicator light on the dash to show when the fan is running. I thought that was easier than tracing the harness plus I have no decent schematic. It also gave me a nice power point for adding other accessories like light bars and whip lights

Ok. So one thing I would offer is don’t involve more than one variable at a time. Pick a problem, and go through everything involved from beginning to end one step at a time in a logical order. Such as overheating- engine runs, you made the fan run and still overheating. What’s left? Water pump, possibly air pocket in the coolant, blown head gasket. I know it tries your patience but you can do it. Did you replace the fuel filter? This thing was on a construction site and you even commented on how dirty it was. What are the chances it could have dirt in the gas tank? Good luck. PS Don’t throw parts at it. That is expensive, time consuming and usually ineffective. Pop Bob

What color are the wires? Have you checked to see if they become energized by turning on the key, or operating any switches or controls?Check to see if one is a ground. Make sure that everything that should operate does operate. If it becomes an issue, trace the wire( giant pain in the ass) Be patient- have fun- keep us informed Pop Bob

As was already said, make sure the fan is working. You can easily hear it. Get a continuity tester and test the fan switch. Jumper the fan motor and make sure it works.

Kind of like on a tractor. Yes, technically it will work, but it won’t be legal. The emergency brake must be separate from the service brake.
