I have been riding duel sport motorcycles (mostly 2 up) for the last 50 years. Due to old injuries bothering me on the current motorcycle (bmwr1150gs) I'm thinking of a switch to a dune buggy. I've looked at the Trooper and talked to the dealer and he says no problem using it on the roads. I live in the mtns in virginia.

How do they handle on back paved roads. My intention would be to use it 60% mtn back roads paved, 35% gravel/dirt forest service roads and 5% trails.

I put 4K to 5K miles per year on the motorcycle and would want to use the Trooper the same. Will this work? If so will it hold up to the miles?

Thanks to all for info or opinions.

The trooper will work out very well.If you do all maintenance it should give you years of service. The steering is a little heavy. I would recommend upgrading to the electronic steering rack. Other than that it should be perfect. Most breakdowns are from lack of maintenance anyways. - silverbullet

Get rid of the stock tires, they won't last long any way and put on some General Grabber AT2 27x8.50 R14 95Q 6PR OWL on 6" wide wheels. And like I always say, snorkel it. They say it goes 65 mph but that's screaming the engine, Comfortable is 45 to 50 and on mine, I get 10 mph per 1000 RPM, and while the exhaust sounds really cool at the dealers, after an hour or so, it's loud, you'll want a muffler.

We are street legal in AZ and I have even had my on the freeway. Only between two exits as I live in the sticks. Cruised 55mph with no problems. Drives really well.

We have a T4 and love it. I would read all the posts and that will give you an idea of what problems different people have had in the past. Our resident Joyner specialist are Kinarfi and Lenny who are both very knowledgeable about the T2's and I don't think they would mind answering your questions. I do agree with Kinarfi about the tires, we had problems with the stock tires and replaced them with the General Grabbers and love them, they even came with road hazard. Enjoy your T2 when you get it.

Hey all, I was just wondering what you guys consider a necessary upgrade or spare part to have or mod onto your machine.
I'm going for a kind of shtf survival rig that's not going to be SUPER heavy and I'm looking at getting:
A spare belt (I keep seeing this mentioned everywhere I look so it must be important)
A spare tire and mount( So would I need a jack like one from an old jeep or something else?)
      Tire chains for the winter
And maybe a cargo bed upgrade so things don't slide out.
      Bumpers because duh.
I already installed high output lights and have a windshield, roof, back window, and winch. And I outfitted a Molle panel for the back of my passenger seat with extra supplies like food, first aid, and spare mags.
Any advise on increasing durability, longevity, and having something on hand because it's absolutely necessary would be a plus.
      Thanks so much!

We just bought our 1st side-by-side and wanted to get tips on maintenance items we should address immediately for our 2015 Arctic Cat Wildcat Sport 700 XT.  We are truly beginners and welcome any and all suggestions.  Thank you, we appreciate your help!

Does anyone know of a bypass switch or controller. They make one for Polaris which installs into the harness that makes the ECU think it’s hooked up in normal position allowing vehicle to operate normally as if you are wearing seatbelt.

Just bought new 2024 AODES 650 work cross 2 seated for my dad and he's very resilient at 79 and still cuts trees, splits and hauls firewood for heating home. He's begun using Polaris ATV with wagon more over his 80's toyo4x4 flatbed after the wood has been split. I figured UTV would be easier, more practical at times and more fun. It does not have a heater and would like suggestions on one that best suits his. He's tough but gets chilled easy now and a heater would make joyriding much better at this time of year. I Have found nothing that specifically Says it's made for this particular UTV I don't know what to make of the More generic Hacher versions Or how adaptable they are. I've read They have come from the factory with Heaters but It says nothing about Adding
