Tracker 800sx

I am throughly discussed with the 800sx.  It has a lot of suspension cracking and squeaking from the suspension/shocks.  Also been to the dealer 4 times for excessive drive clutch/belt squealing.  They have no clue and they have (supposedly) changed both clutches and drive belt. Anyone having any of these issues.

Nope my 2020 800sx crew suspension is quiet. There are 4 grease zerks on the rear pivots that need grease pretty often or they squeak. There was a recall for the front springs making a banging sound on some. My belt will squeak for a few seconds when I first crank it but I wait til it quits before I move and it never does it again til a cold soak. Mine has 2900 miles and 410 hrs on it

Thanks, I have 700 miles so I should not have to greese the fittings yet but I did.  Mine makes the real bad squealing  about 90 % of the time, very annoying.  It is coming from the clutch area and they say they replaced the belt and both clutches.  I'll have to take it back to them again.  I don't expect much.  I may end up to to another Bass Pro.

I have the 2020 800SX, Not the “Crew”, has power steering.....No real problems (so far).  It is garage kept and sees only normal/gentle use (No off hard or fast Off Road).  I do drive thru creeks and some mud, lots of dust too — rarely get any “squealing” but I have heard it a few times.  Others have told me to power wash the under carriage occasionally to prevent that (I don’t bother) but guessing You’ve done that and your problem is beyond that.   I can’t complain about my 800SX but also can’t complement the Bass Pro Service Dept. either because I haven’t used it (it’s a 50 mile drive from my house and I still need to get a trailer for my 800SX).  I did Not buy the extended warranty - tried to but was “3 days past the deadline” to purchase one and Customer Service would Not make an exception.

I have had my 2022 800SX LE in the shop numerous times for clutch issues and shifting issues. Both primary and secondary clutches have been changed, and new drive belt. Mine squeals on initial use but goes away in a few minutes of use. Local authorized dealer has really stepped up in an effort to solve these issues. Tracker support to the dealers is lacking. I also had the bed replaced due to warping from the heat. Tracker sent a new bed but did nothing to mitigate the issue. I took it upon myself to add a heat shield to the muffler and also wrapped the exhaust pipe with exhaust wrap. We shall see if this helps.

I gave up taking mine back 4 times for the belt noise.  Both clutches and drive belt replaced.  I have the same issue with the bottom of the bed warping.   What did u use for heat shield.  I only have 4 greese fittings at the rear wheels, ball joints. And the A frame connections make a lot of noise.

I read where a Flowmaster 51017 heat shield fits like a glove, however the lead time getting one was too long for my liking. I ended up getting a roll of aluminum heat shield from Amazon, cutting it to fit, and used the included stainless steel straps to mount it. Once the supply of the Flowmaster shield is better, I will probably use it.

I just installed the Flowmaster 51017 heat shield from Amazon.  It went on in ten minutes. Fits like a charm.  I'm sure it will help or solve the bed warping problem.

I have I 2021 Tracker 800 crew that gets stuck in LOW. Have to rock the SXS or gas it to get it out of LOW. Any suggestions

Have you tried adjusting the shifter cable? Sometimes mine will get stuck if I stop the SXS on any kind of incline or decline.

I am having fuel pump/filter problems with my 2022 Tracker 800SX that has only gas 350 miles on it.  After the 2nd fuel pump stopped working, we pumped out the fuel tank only to find depress in the bottom of the tank that looked like insulation the size of business card.  I called the San Antonio Bass Pro Dealer service manager and was told that Tracker fuel filters do break down and cause the fuel pumps to plug up. He offer no "Tracker" OME solution.

Have any of you solved this fuel filter breakdown problem?

Hmmm- glad you posted this. No problem so far with mine. How difficult is it to change the fuel filter?

The main problem now with Tracker OFF ROAD vehicles is “They don’t exist”…NO LONGER MADE !  My 2021 800SX LE runs great but if it ever has a real problem —- Not sure if I can get it fixed….thats my concern

I get it, I too am concerned. But again, have you changed the fuel filter and how difficult is it to change?

@Pilot1996 - I’m so “NOT mechanical” I’d be lucky if I could change-a-flat-tire.  But I did have a Neighbor change all fluids and filters last year (doubt Fuel filter was included).  My 2021 800SX LE has 0nly 600 miles/220 hours, is garage kept, and is never ridden hard or in deep mud….so I expect it to last (or HOPE it will last?). As much as I do like my Tracker 800—-If or when it does fail, will Never buy another Off-Brand just for this reason:  They might get discontinued in a few years !

PILOT1996 - on another note regarding the 2021 Tracker SxS 800SXLE “durability & reliability” - mine is still running great and never had a problem while my Neighbors 2022 Polaris 1000 SxS ($30,000+) just required $3000 repair for axle/wheel bearing issue.  He also does Not use his SXS  for any hard riding or work and has been garage kept.  Obviously Polaris is a Top Brand but no SxS is manufactured to true “Automotive Standards” and all can break down unexpectedly.

My 2021 800SX has been great.  No mechanical issues.  It's been a workhorse around the property.  Moving firewood, mulch, rocks, dirt and weekly, taking the trash cans up our 750 ft. driveway to the curb on trash day.  I've used the winch to move large rocks, take out stumps and pull down small trees.  Couldn't be happier with it.

Mine too has been rock solid once the clutch issues were resolved early on. Just ordered some ceramic brake pads as mine are starting to squeak. Plan to order a few inner and outer air filters as supply issues may arise now that the Tracker has been discontinued.

I have a 2020 tracker 800 SX that has been at High Country Boats in Helena Montana over seven months supposedly waiting for a new water pump. I cannot believe it is taking this long to get the part and get it repaired. Is there anyone out there that can direct me to a complaint center so I can call them and find out what’s going on?

Call tracker customer service with your VIN. I have reached out to them in the past and found them to be helpful. It’s my understanding the the Artic Cat Prowler has the same engine and many other parts are interchangeable as well.
