I really didnt like how the steering wheel felt when i was driving my T2 felt like i was reaching for it so i cut off the mount on the column took i die grinder and ate the slot in the dash down farther made a new bracket dropped it down like 3-4 inches it feels great now , i didnt like how the clutch and brake pedal was either it didnt feel like i had enough foot room to pick up my feet just to push the clutch or brake in so i cut out bout 2-3 inches on the horizontal part of the pedal and welded them back together and belive me feels like a totally new machine made it alot more comfortable with them two mods

I kinda felt the same way as far as the leg room goes.I removed my seats and drilled new holes and moved em back about 2 inches.

Funny, our seats are almost ALL the way forward. Of course we are smaller humanoids. I did put spacers under the front of the seats to tilt rearwards. The seats were too straight up for us.

Thats a good idea on the steering wheel. I'm going to have to look at mine and see if that would improve the way mine feels for my wife and I. My wheel was always offset a little to the right, about 1" or so, so I moved it to the left to center it on the seat and like it better. Didn't think about lowering it .

gates, need pics of the cage mod. I have wanted to do the same.

The steering wheel has never bothered me because in most of my race cars the wheel was never on center. In road-racing the distance to the wheel is extend the arm full length and the wheel should hit the fold of your wrist. Circle track, as close as is comfortable. So I don't care where the thing is as long as it is on the trail. LOL!

i dont have my camera rightnow but it was really simple all i did was take a grinder and grind off the welds holding the bung on the cage did that to all 4 corners then i got my pipe cutter and took 3/4 in off the front of the cage and bout 2 1/2 off the back and it worked out perfectly dropped it just enough took look alot better but still have sufficent head room in case the cage would get mashed in event of a roll over

it wasnt the centering of the wheel that drove me nutz is was how high up it felt like i was reachin for it

I heard there's several off road festivals out that way. One or two post apocalyptic, the rest just rev and run. Anyone know a good one that offers camping? Any advice for out of state people like hauling, legality, and where to stay?
Ideally me and the missus would be down for camping out and setting up shop somewhere nearby. That way we can just wake up, load up, and ride.

2021 uforce 800  turning radius is awful .
I just bought it  added perfex lift
      And 1.5 wheel spacers
The turning radius was bad before the lift .
I looked for steering stops under the tie rod boots and steering knuckle for steering stops . Found nothing .
Are the stops inside the steering rack ?  Is there a replaced steering rack with longer throw to curb this issue ?
      Any suggestions?

Hi everyone, I am new to the site and I have one question. My tilt steering wheel is locked in the upper position, and I was hoping for someone could help me with the problem. I did spray some WD 40 in the area of the mechanism but still wheel is locked in the upper most position. I am willing to try anything to get the wheel free and move to a lower position. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!! and Be Safe!
