HELP - PARTS NEEDED

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

After my recent accident I need some tough to find parts. I'm hoping one of you may have what I need in your stash.

1, a bearing cage for the front axle.

2, a couple of lower ball joints.

When the Trooper got thrown out of the toy hauler it landed on the left front wheel, goodbye bearing cage. My fabricator is going to replace the upper ball joints with domestic parts but that requires cutting and welding. I'm hoping I can find a couple of lowers to cut down on expenses. There's lots of cosmetic damage but that I can fix.

My fabricator has one of the cars he builds for sale. I'd consider it but there's a couple of problems. One, it won't fit in the new toy hauler, and two, I'm a bit shy on cash, Christmas expenses you know. I guess I don't really need a long travel, 500hp buggy. He even reduced the price to 60K, what a deal!!!

I'm hoping to get the repairs done by Christmas.

Gumbal, I have lower ball joints that I took off my Trooper when I changed to a different setup. You are welcome to them. Get me your address and I'll send them to you. Don't worry about the shipping cost. Looking at your trailer, shoot a couple of staples here and there and some Elmers glue it will be good as new. Oh, and don't forget about Duct tape. Watch the Red Green show, he knows how well it works.

Thanks to Lenny the lower ball joints I needed arrived in the mail today. After looking all over town and sending emails around the world I found the cage I needed about 2 miles from home.

I got it at a place called Chirco Performance and Restoration. Their address is 9101 E 22nd St. Tucson Arizona 85710.

The parts guy called it a bus. The part information is is TP2 CV Cage 3/4 CPR501142B.

Thanks again for your help. I feel blessed to have friends like those on this board.

PS Lenny I tried to PM you but your mailbox must be full

TILT! BRAKA FRIKA BRACKERAT!

Life can be cruel. The cage I reported on alas, won't work afterall. I took it in to be sure it would work and found that it won't go into the hub. So, it's back to the drawing board.

I apologize for not checking sooner. Bummer!!

I had been wanting to install power steering on my T4 for years so I went to the salvage yard last weekend and bought a complete column (minus airbag) out of a 2009 Nissan Versa for $125 with the ECU.
It was a fairly simple install. The long shaft that fits to the Joyner steering rack actually fit perfectly into the Nissan column. Had to weld up a U joint on the Nissan column to make it a straight shaft and fab up one simple bracket. Connect power and ground plus a switched 12v and now I can steer with one hand!

I am interested in any old trooper axle parts you may have lying around. Please let me know if your want to sell them.
      Backstory:
Hey everyone. Last trip out to moab I climbed a wall on poison spyder Mesa while 2 rzr xp1000's and three can am x3 xrc's watched me and didn't dare try. After doing it once I pulled around to show them it wasn't a fluke. One on the can am x3 xrc drivers just looked at me and said "that's steep". On the second try I spread the bell on the left rear axle. I made the climb but now the inner cage slips inside making a loud popping noise as twisting the boot. I mainly just need the inner bell but I am interested in anything you have.

Anyone have an outer cv joint ball cage? Mine is cracked up. Other than that it's a good axel.

Found a hole in Front Diff case, its been there a while, gears look fine but bearings are all shot,
Is it more economical to just buy a complete differential or rebearing the current one
Suggestions on where to Find one
      Thanks

Hi,  can someone please verify if my timing marks are correct?
The images are of the timing marks at TDC.  the Crank/Cam marks look right on, but I was surprised to see the cam's timing marks completely off the page.   I was thinking I had it 180 out somehow because that's the symptoms I'm experiencing when trying to start it.   When I'm cranking it, and trying at full throttle, I hear some light (muffled) backfiring that sounds like on the intake side.
