Hi all Trooper owners,

I had my machine out for a 5 day ride that turned into a near disaster. I was with one of my clubs and we were going up the back road (read rock crawling challenge) to Crown King a small town in the AZ mountains. About 18 miles into a 24 mile trip up the mountain a radiator fitting exploded into the back of the seats. We were lucky we weren't seriously burned.

What happened was about a 3/4 inch piece blew out of the radiator "T" coming out of the water pump ( part No, 02.S650.04.02.02 S650.04.02.02.00 Tee branch 1). T. It was nip and tuck to get up to Crown King where we were headed. We were able to find the piece that blew out and we taped the T back together Luckily there was a stream nearby. I would stop at the water crossings and fill up the radiator, run until the engine got hot and stop at the next stream crossing and repeat the process. One of the guys that was camping with us drove up from our campsite to haul me back to camp. For him it was about a 125 mile round trip.

The part is made of hard rubber and it would be good if you check yours for any signs of cracks. My wife was with me and unfortunately it may be the end of my Trooper days.

There was an update on the T and is now made of steel

There was an update and now the T is made of steel. I went to Joyner when they were in Tempe and they gave them to us. There was many parts that should have been a recall ( the dealers had a web on parts that were changed) but most of the dealers never let us know. If you were lucky enough to find out, they would give them to you free. Here is a few of the parts I got. Clutch linage, larger rotors, bigger calipers, rubber boots for the steering, new rear fenders, brackets for rear end to be welded on, 2 different rear drive shafts, the last one being like a half shaft, new fuel sending unit, temp gauge, etc.

I just purchased a 2023 Honda Pioneer a couple of weeks ago and had the hard roof and a front Honda Pioneer windshield installed at the shop before taking ownership. As things are drying up here in NC, the grass and dust are beginning to fly right through the back of the cab while driving. I was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations on rear windshields, dust panels, or mesh screens to help stop this?
      Thanks a lot!

I just bought an older (2008) Teryx 750 and am having some concerns.  Hoping of course, that most are not too big. . . but more knowledgeable folks like yourselves will surely have some ideas.  Thanks in advance.
-- about 2700 hrs, camo version
-- Starting:  after not running much at the auction site, I tried it and it was tough to start but half of this was likely I did not quite know the tricks for how long to keep the choke on. However, once it started it was kind of hard to keep running until it warmed up(once warmed it starts perfectly every time with no choke).  Now, back to running after the first ignition:  I had to hold the RPM's up a bit to keep it running and when doing so it sounded as if a little gnome was inside the engine pounding on something at random intervals.  Wondering if this could be detonation-- "knocking"?  After warming, it disappeared completely.  Maybe just need higher octane gas??
-- After starting and running a bit there was a pretty terrible smell, most "like" burning rubber or an electrical fire.  No fire or resolution of this.  Eventually this TOO went mostly away, but still basically present.  Could it be adjustment needed for the main belt variable speed tranny?
-- When I move from neutral into either Lo or HIGH range forward gears, I get gear clashing.  I did NOT put foot on brake and read in manual(just NOW) that you are supposed to do so.  (I have NOT gotten back out to check and see if this matters. )  OR, could it be part of the drive system is mashed up??!  Geez, hope not.
-- There is a big open hole allowing direct sight into the belt transmission on the back right side.  This can't be normal, it must require some plastic cover.  Right?  Any rodent could get right into the transmission!
-- THere appears to be no muffler or spark arrestor unit.  This "could " be the cause of some of the smell. . . ??  but that should not smell like burning rubber or electrical smell. . .

      SO.  That is all.
I sure would appreciate any insight on this issues and finally(!). . . if I was to take this into a local dealer what would you say are the top three issues I should have them address first?

      thanks!

      ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!
I purchased a Massimo Motors Warrior 700 UTV directly through the company. This unit was listed for sale on Ebay as a company demo with only 77 miles. Prior to bidding on the item, I messaged them through EBay and asked if there was "anything wrong with it and if everything worked properly". I was assured in writing that everything on the UTV was operational AND that it would be inspected before shipping. I also called the number that was in the EBay listing to verify that everything was operational and to make sure the item could be delivered to my land in Missouri. I made it VERY clear that I was not interested in bidding on the item if those two things were not acceptable. I was assured over the phone that everything was operational, that it would be inspected prior to shipping and that delivery to my land in Missouri was perfectly fine.
It was not delivered to the address agreed to by their contact listed in the EBay listing. And when it was received, there were multiple items that were not operational. Items that were defective when it arrived include a headlight, a backup light, both horns, the horn wiring and the parking brake.  They refused to even supply me with replacements for all the defective parts. In response to the BBB, Dave said it was sold without a warrantee.  The listing very clearly stated 180 day warrantee for parts.
In addition, the windshield that was clearly shown on many photos on the listing was not delivered with the UTV. That's correct...THEY STOLE THE WINDSHIELD before shipping the unit to me. The first representative from Massimo Motors told me multiple times that “the company will make things right for me”. He did supply me with a couple parts; which I installed myself. Later, he told me that he is no longer with the company. Dave, the new contact never offered any reasonable solution to any of the remaining issues.
His solution to STEALING THE WINDSHIELD was for me to fabricate one myself.
      Unbelievable experience. See files attached.
Hope this helps others from making a BIG MISTAKE.
      See photos attached for proof.
If this help, please let my “buddy” at Massimo know why you aren’t buying one.  Here’s his info:

View File Axis E1 UTV Owners Manual
Axis E1 is a 48V all electric UTV.  It is a rebranded Hisun Sector E1 and is mechanically the same except for some cosmetic differences.

DO NOT BUY ANY THING FROM HISUN Period! I had the axis 700 for 2 months when a rat or squirrel ate both wiring harnesses. (Main & ECM)Wanna know why? Because the manufacture of these things in their infinite wisdom use either, a soybean oil or a peanut oil to run the wires through the the wire loom. Hmmm i wonder why they would be inclined to eat the wires. So now I have $10K machine that I've only had for 2 months when all this happened and they will not warranty it at all. It is going to cost me $800 to $1000 to get this fixed. Here is a link to a video showing where we took our Hisun notice how many are there:

So counting mine, there are 16 of Hisun Axis on the lot that i took in for authorized dealer, with the exact same problem, plus other troubles that the mechanic explained to me. This particular place told me they are not going to work on them anymore. I will be posting this in as many places as possible to reach the masses. I hope its worth Hisun!
