Trooper Cams

Recommended Posts

I've been looking at Silver Bullets performance cams for my T2. I want to go ahead and order them, but haven't had any luck getting a hold of anyone. Can someone tell me what specific info I need? Can I order them right off the website without any additional info?

Also, anyone who has put these into a non-turbo/supercharged engine, I would love to hear your feedback! I'm hoping the performance boost from the cams will keep me from going to the expense of forced induction

I use forced induction and Silverbullets cam and like it but I've also have heard that the other stock machine owners that have bought them, like the torque they add. Cleaning you your port matching will help a lot too and it's fairly easy to do. Keep trying Silverbullet. I'll contact Rick at Silverbullet and tell him your trying to reach them.

Lenny, thanks for the info and assistance! What mod do you think helped the power lag around 2 - 5K rpm most?

Ok, Cams and fuel controller ordered! Now its just a waiting game.........

For those of you using a A/F ratio gauge, where is your O2 sensor located in the exhaust (before or after CAT)? I read some posts (by Lenny I think) that the optimal performance is somewhere in the 12's on the A/F gauge, is that correct? Just wondering if that number is coming from a reading after the CAT or before.

Match your ports while your at it. Fairly easy and could make a big difference in output. O2 sensor must be before the Cat which alters the mixture. Flipping the intake manifold will help some too.

I think I have gathered from reading your posts that you modified your manifold (welded tabs on it) to be able to flip it. But I thought others may have flipped it without doing the mod. Is the mod a must to get a good seal between runners and manifold when you flip it?

On another note, I tried to find some Prussian Blue at the auto parts stores so I could do the matching and they all looked at me like I asked for a time traveling space rock........

Permatex makes it,maybe one of the independant auto stores would have it. Grainger has it #3DPP9.

Silverbullet.

All you guys who are porting your heads.Thear is a good book on how to port heads.Just email me at [email protected] Matching ports is a good thing but thear are things you should due.And things you should not due.The info is free.

How about a price quote for members on a port & cams package? If we were to send you our head & manifolds.

As far as I'm concerned, there is only one way to flip the manifold, the right way. It needs a symmetry of bolts just like it originally is to be sure it seals properly. The one tab that gets welded on is not more then a 5/16" or 3/8" thick (can't remember which) triangular piece of steel of about 3/4" on a side with a corner trimmed back and a hole drilled in it which is welded to the existing flange. It's not worth the risk of a damaged engine because of a small leak that sucks dust in. You may not even know it's leaking. Short cutting repairs or modifications is something I just refuse to participate in. I make enough mistakes without cutting corners.

hey guys

intake manifold is a few months out its just an idea we have started to put into action.

as far as doing the cams for you and porting we have been thinking maybe starting to do that and giving you back pretty much a bolt on head ported, adjusted, cams installed, 3 angle valve job, surfaced head, and all ready to go would be nice wouldnt? send me the head and i will take care of the rest give me a call for more info on pricing and details. turn around time varies on our work load we have started doing more and more rebuilds because people are still running the original joyner filters. had 2 troopers shipped in last week just got the second one done today...

      Hello everyone.
I recently bought a Can-Am Ryker and I'm looking to customize it with some accessories. I’ve seen a lot of options out there but wanted to get some recommendations from fellow riders.
What are the must-have accessories for comfort, style, or performance?
Specifically, I'm considering a windshield and better footpegs—are these worth the investment?
Also, any thoughts on storage solutions like saddlebags or rear cases?
Would love to hear your personal experiences with any mods you’ve done.

Hello, All!  I've decided to replace the traction batteries in my 2018 Sector E1 with a 48V Lithium set. They may be expensive, but I figure the Discovery Dry Cell are, too. I am not looking for the max driving range, as I have never received near the brochured range to begin with, but a good mix of charge/ get work done/ charge is what I am expecting.
I have settled on the 48V EAGL kit from bigbattery dot com. Each battery pack provides 30Ah. The kit ships with a charger, as well. The packs would be physically connected in parallel (using a busbar) to one another, maintaining the 48V voltage, but together would be able to provide the amp draw the buggy pulls when going up hill or towing a rake (rated 320 max continuous Amps). This is in comparison to the serial connection the eight 6V lead batteries. Each of the EAGL batteries looks to have its own BMS; am I correct in thinking I will have to use their included charger rather than (simply) changing the onboard charger to lithium mode? The chemistry of the pack is LiFe PO4, for what it's worth.  I haven't torn anything apart yet (to diagram), so  I am not sure how the dash will interpret the AMP draw, but the kit I am looking at includes a dash mounted charge indicator.
If anyone has completed a similar conversion, do you have any tips? Specifically, how did you remove the original batteries, and how did you secure the new ones? I am guessing that almost any change from the stock batteries would involve at least some modifications. Any tips would be appreciated, especially things I may have failed to consider. Thanks!

Recently I had an overheating issue on my 2022 Coleman Outfitter 550 (Hisun UT550) and to check to make sure it was fixed I took it out for a ride around the block. After a couple cycles on the LED coolant meter, I took it for a couple mile ride and on my way back I heard a loud metallic snap then a grinding noise. It was still able to move under its own power but very slowly. I was about 2 blocks from the truck so 'I limped it home and up onto the trailer. I know I need to tear it apart and look for what broke, but anyone have a guess as to where to start? I'm seriously getting tired of this damn machine! 750 miles on it and already replaced the belt, wet clutch, primary clutch, clutch roller weights among a few other things. Seriously, this friggin machine has spent more time on the lift than on the road. I thought I bought this new because it was from the owner of a tractor supply, but he registered it under the stores name making me the 2nd owner voiding any and all warranties.
Any Ideas what to look for would be appreciated.
      Thanks

      Hi
i have a 2019 Coleman 550 Outfitter.  The tail gate has a pin on each side, that snaps into latch blocks that are mounted on the inside of the tail gate opening.  There are two M6x16 pan head screws(bolts?) that hold the latch blocks in place.  The screws enter from inside the bed body, and I can’t figure out how to access them.  This is right by the tail light assemblies.  I tried taking a pan head screw out of the fender lip, but found out there is not a nut firmly inplace, to hold the pan head screw in.  Bottom line I’m making it worse.
coleman was no help.  If I could figure out how they attached the tail light, then maybe I could put the latch screws in through the tail light hole.  Any ideas?

      thanks
