  1. 1. Would you choose another UTV/SxS manufacturer if you could go back and do it again?

    • Yes! in a heartbeat
    • No way!
    • I wouldn't buy a different brand, just another model that was out also.

Some of us have had our Side by Sides for a long time and some of us for only a few years or months.... They say hindsight is 20/20 and in that case if you could go back and purchase a different UTV brand that would be better, would you?

after you've answered, comment below on why you may or may not choose differently

I would've preferred to have the kubota diesel. Much better design. Although I have no idea how durable it is. Or what kind of product support is offered by the manufacturer.

I drove one for a few days at work. It has a much better layout of the controls, power steering, three forward speeds, instead of two. Tractor style stomp pedal for locking the rear differential. And the gas guage is on the dashboard.

I had weak moments I'd say..  where I considered if I should have gone a different route.. And thought of acting on it a few times too..  But instead of trading I changed the Trooper to better it in the areas where it was lacking! And what my Trooper has become today is something hard to beat.. It turns heads and is a animal on trails and hill climbs!

Upgrades:

· Custom Electric power steering w/ 2:1 steering quicker

· Hand crafted aluminum intake w/22mm larger throttle body

· Haltech elite 1500 ECU w/ wideband controller & custom tune

· Haltech smart coils & Audi 1.8T injectors

· Lowered diffs w/ skid plates

· Fox air shocks all around

· 30" Sun-f power tires on Sedona beadlocks

      Hi All,
Just picked  up a 2020 UT400 that my 80 year old father will be driving around the farm.  We purchased the machine with a few "issues" and they lowered the price accordingly.  Small stuff like passenger size mirror and back reflector was torn off by a Tractor supply employee, which we will order replacements for.  Also after further inspection, whoever assembled it did not put a few bolts in the rollcage and aren't in the glovebox, so will be having to order those also.
Anyway, there are two initial things on the UT400 I'm not sure what they are or for.  The first, there is a square white electrical connector with about 8 pins hanging form under the middle of the back bed - I don't see another one to match up or plug into it, so wondering if this is pre installed optional connection for like towing around a sprayer?  Anyone know what this is?  Also, there is a 10 inch black rubber hose that is zip tied to the back A frame on the passenger side.  I watched the assembly video and it doesn't mention one, so don't know what this hose is for - anyone know?
Also, has anyone come up with a "fix" or work around for having to have the seatbelts plugged in or even in place?  We aren't planning on using them and are figuring just plugging them in and wedging them behind the seats - didn't know if there is a way to just disconnect the "over 10mph gas starving" safety sensor.
Looking forward to seeing how this machine does for my father.   I'm thinking about installing a suicide knob on it for easier turning for him, as it's a little stiff (compared to our Kawasaki Mule).  Maybe with use it will loosen up some?
      Thanks!

      could it be clutch?

frustrated in shop more than in use on farm

starts up you have keep rpms up for 5 minutes till it warms up then runs fine. But if it stalls wont start unless you unplug fuel pump and hold it to the floor till it starts then plug pump back in and run it till it warms up then it is fine all day.

      Hey everyone,
I’m in the market for a UTV windshield that can withstand extreme conditions, including high winds, dust, and off-road impacts.
I’ve seen a lot of options out there, but I’m unsure which one will provide the best protection and durability.
Does anyone have experience with windshields that excel in these environments? Are there specific brands or materials you recommend?
I’m particularly interested in options that offer both durability and clarity.
Any tips or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
