I thought that was just a pre-filter, and there was a paper element inside.

No paper on the 550.  Weird that the buck and T-Boss 410 have that style filter and the 550 has the foam.  Maybe the foam is considered the better way to go since it's washable/reusable?  Dunno, just riffing.

Some older briggs engines on pushmowers use that type material as the filter. My Mule has a pleated paper filter and a thin round piece of that material that i oil to catch the bigger dust,

their may be some way to convert the filter, or modify to like a  cold air intake of sorts. similar to this image.png.e7a683870ddf8fc1e22ec7125fe44f1b.png

where it just clamps to the intake tube.

Going down a 20 deg hill engine is holding UTV back. Then something releases like going into Neutral and makes a loud clacking noise. Have to use brake to slow UTV down. Then once level it shifts back into gear. Have done shift extension does not pop out of gear.

Hey all. I need to change my plug in my ut400 and I remember seeing people in here saying to get a certain one that was better than what it came with. What was it?
Also I need to do an oil change. Are the tractor supply oil change kits ok to use?

      Any help here is appreciated!

Since it is a royal pain to close the front hood, I went to add a charger wire so I don't  have to worry about the hood, I found the screw on the positive post rusted .  this utv is 11 months old. and since it's a Philips head, it was impossible to loosen . had to use vise grips.
replaced the screw with an hex bolt

Got a new 2023 TBoss 560 with 40 miles on it now. Noticed after about and hour of plowing snow coolant started hissing out the overflow tube. Initially made a pop or blow kind of noise and then saw some steam and smelt coolant. Coolent level is in the middle between low and high (running or not). Coolant under radiator cap is full when cold, appears nice and green. Checked oil doesn’t look milky. The temp ranges from 160-180 F running for 15-20. Noticed the other day there was some more coolant that blew out the overflow tube. I called the dealer and they said the system could be purging air. Dealer is 2+ hours away so wanting to get more thoughts before considering to bring it in. Also noticing hot/burning rubber smell but I think this is from the belt breaking in? Also notice the coolant smell from the exhaust when in higher RPMs. No white smoke from the exhaust. Also another possible issue. I notice that there’s a little bounce when on pavement. You can also hear the CVT kind of make noise with this bounce in tandem. Is this normal?
