I have alot of issues with this machine that I'm trying to figure out and fix.  Today when I was fixing the shifter I see this cable connection that is not connected to anything.  I looked and can't find where it might need to be.  Any ideas would be greatfull.

I checked under my hood and only seen 2 black connectors. One was a different shape than that and when disconnected did not look yellow inside. But there was another black connector that I could not disconnect that was that shape. It had 3 white wires, 1 black and 1 red and was connected under the part that I have the red arrow pointing to. Check to see if there is wiring connected under that part and if not, what you are holding may be the connector.

That was where it goes, thought it might fix my problem with the odomiter not working but it didn't.  I wounder what it is for as I didn't notice anything else light up on the dash.

I went to the Coleman website and looked through some of the diagrams. Then I put in what I thought was the part number and it came up as a Voltage Regulator.

Part #2 https://www.colemanpowersportsusa.com/parts/utv_side-by-side-parts/outfitter-400_ut400/electrical-components

Googled part # - https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=P115000321000000-d

Not sure why anyone would disconnect that, but you should look into it some more.

I don't think someone disconnect it, I bought this machine new, I beleive it was never connected.  I have been tring for over a year to get coleman to deal with the issues, but they will not help me.  I have even filed a BBB complant and they would not even reply to them.  So I need to try to figure out the issues.

This being connected to the voltage regulator will probally fix one of the issues I have been having, the battery icon always turning on and off.  Fingers crossed.  Thank you

Well, straight out of the factory, I've seen a number of people complaining about bolts being loose, air filters being installed backwards, small engine repair shops stating that valves were not adjusted correctly, and the complaints go on and on. This may be why Coleman filed for bankruptcy about a year ago and why their parts department was not functioning until just a few months ago. They weren't shipping out any parts and I even reached out to Hisun, who basically makes the parts for the UTV and their response was, "sorry, we do not want anything to do with Coleman, so you're on your own".

Best of luck and just take one issue at a time. There are many of us out there supporting one another, as well as plenty of YouTube vids that can be helpful.

Needs to be a class action against them!

Yeah, I agree. And to make matters worse, myself and someone else I know was sold a UTV from Tractor Supply as new only to find out the UTV was used. The other guy was able to return his, but I hesitated too long and was not able to do so. As with you, I was not able to get a hold of Coleman and when contacting Hisun, they wanted nothing to do with Coleman products anymore and would not honor any warranty, do to all the things wrong with mine.

It seems that there are many people who have had little to no problems with theirs, but others have bought a nightmare. In my case, I just take one problem at a time and just move on from there. In spite of all the problems, I really like this UTV in comparison to others I've looked at, all of which were way too expensive and seemingly smaller and less comfortable in design.

I have purchased a used Supermach700 (2008), It runs great after a new choke cable but. The temp sensor on the thermostat house is unhooked and can not find where it plugs back in. The fan has been un hooked from the sensor in the rad and cant figure out how it goes back together properly.  The fan was wired to a by pass switch and i just always leave it on but would like to work it properly. I assume the sensor went bad and not changed.

      any help would be great.

      thanks

      Hi All,
New here, but bought a 2022 Sector 750 brand new last march (old stock up here in Canada)
It's a good bike so far, but I have noticed a quirk and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue?

The issue I've had is if I leave the utv parked on any incline, not even a major incline, and leave it to sit for a while (day or two) it will not start properly. It will turn over and not fire until I press the gas pedal, when it will run and rev up, but if I let off the gas it will die. It will keep doing this until I either start it in gear and drive it for a bit or leave it in neutral and roll it down the hill to flatter ground. where it will have to sit for a while.
If I park it on a decline there is no issue. fuel is not low, it's occurred a couple times now.

Any thoughts on the cause of this? Dealership just says bring it in and let them take a look, at my expense of course.

Hello, All!  I've decided to replace the traction batteries in my 2018 Sector E1 with a 48V Lithium set. They may be expensive, but I figure the Discovery Dry Cell are, too. I am not looking for the max driving range, as I have never received near the brochured range to begin with, but a good mix of charge/ get work done/ charge is what I am expecting.
I have settled on the 48V EAGL kit from bigbattery dot com. Each battery pack provides 30Ah. The kit ships with a charger, as well. The packs would be physically connected in parallel (using a busbar) to one another, maintaining the 48V voltage, but together would be able to provide the amp draw the buggy pulls when going up hill or towing a rake (rated 320 max continuous Amps). This is in comparison to the serial connection the eight 6V lead batteries. Each of the EAGL batteries looks to have its own BMS; am I correct in thinking I will have to use their included charger rather than (simply) changing the onboard charger to lithium mode? The chemistry of the pack is LiFe PO4, for what it's worth.  I haven't torn anything apart yet (to diagram), so  I am not sure how the dash will interpret the AMP draw, but the kit I am looking at includes a dash mounted charge indicator.
If anyone has completed a similar conversion, do you have any tips? Specifically, how did you remove the original batteries, and how did you secure the new ones? I am guessing that almost any change from the stock batteries would involve at least some modifications. Any tips would be appreciated, especially things I may have failed to consider. Thanks!

2021 Hisun Axis 500 UTV (From Lowes)
      Will NOT START
MY apologies if this is to much info just wanted to give yal the most information possible for help.
I'm a so called diyer. An Electrician by trade 21yrs. I got my S×S from my last job. The contractor purchased this S×S for this specific job brand new, from Lowes. They used it for hauling materials, tools, & a little bit of anything you can think of on an Industrial type job site.
I remember getting on the SxS one time & pushed the gas petal all the way to the floor & SxS had very little power.
So anyway ,when the job finished up back mid July this year (7/2024) , I asked the contractor what they was going to do with it. I was told to take it. Otherwise it would go to the contractors yard (storage yard) & most likely rust away.
Took it home washed it , it had a heavy coat of dust on it & in it dust was every where. My helper & I had to push it on the trailer to get it home.  After washing it throughly I let it sit & dry out for a good day and half, maybe 2 days. Before trying to start it. NO START. Will turn over & try to start but thats it.
So here's what I've purchased & installed. New Air Filter, new spark plug, new air idle control valve (AICV), new throttle position sensor, new throttle body, new oxygen sensor, new digital dash speedometer/fuel gauge/clock.
Also drained the old oil & gas & replaced with new oil & 93oct. gas. I should probably mention that I've changed the AICV twice. The 1st time I changed the AICV I was able to get the SxS started & let idle for at least 10-15min. Drove out of the garage, with very little power,  turned it around & barely got it back in the garage. That was the one & only time I've been able to start the SxS. I've also cleaned the Throttle Body and & intake with TB cleaner.  So after that the AICV was  making weird noise so I pulled it out & tried cleaning it, pretty sure I messed it up. So I purchased a Throttle Body that came with new AICV & TPS. Still NO START.  I've checked the fuel pump & the fuel injector.  I took the injector off still hooked up to wiring & turned the key over, the injector sprayed a lot of gas out kinda the size of a volleyball. I've also checked the clearance gap on the intake & exhaust valve. But today 11/2/2024 I'm going recheck spark plug gap & the valve gaps. And alot of other checking. Would the driver side seat belt have anything to do with it not starting?? I know the driver side seat belt has to be in gauged for full throttle "going fast". Thing is the drv. side seat belt will latch but feels like might be messed up inside of it. Tired opening it up but to no avail.  I've never had a S×S or 4wheeler so I was really excited when I got the S×S,not so much anymore.  I work on & fix my own vehicles usually no problems.  But this SxS is kicking my ass.
So if possible & someone could help me with some ideas or tell me what Im doing wrong or did wrong, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you for reading thus far.

I own a K9 with 50hrs that has been in for repair more than once the farm.  Multitude of issues, trying to file lemon on it but interested in knowing if owners are organizing for a class action suit.  The dealer informs me there are “a lot of owners very unhappy with these”.
      Thanks
