Tires

Recommended Posts

I have heard the biggest tires you can run on the T4 is 30". Is this true? If so, do you rub at all when turning? Do you have to have the power steering add on to run this big of a tire?

I have 30" on my T4 and they do not rub.If yo go bigger then you will have to do some mods. You dont have to have power steering but sure would be nice.

T4 has the same front end and suspension as a T2. Lenny & myself have been running 31X10.50X15 for a couple of years. You have to modify the firewall a little and do not need power steering anymore than already required. There are post of how we modified our T2's. Lenny cut and weld a change to his firewall & I used a big hammer and did the same thing, LOL!

I have a question would it hurt to run 30" tires on the back and 28" tires on the front. What I'm looking for is when I climb a big hill if the back is up higher than the front it will be harder for the front to lift up.

Has to be the same size. You will rip the equipment apart when you get on a hard surface with the front turning at a different # of revolution than the Rear. Don't do it!

See, I do good deeds! :)

In 4 X 4, If the big rear tires are getting good traction, the smaller front tires are being pushed and skidded and if the front has the traction, the bigger rear tires are spinning. I understand there are a few places where you want the front and back to have different speeds, and I believe you want the fronts to pull the rears instead of being pushed by the rears.

I had a problem 6-8 mo ago when the unit would not start . But you could see power on the dash. The starter solenoid was replaced and it has been fine until yesterday. When I started it up I noticed a high pitched noise coming from under the front. Like a alarmbuzz ..It seemed to drive fine so I went ahead and used it off and on for a hour or so . The noise would not go away . I parked it in the shed and lifted the hood . It seemed to be coming from the battery compartment ( where the new starter solenoid is) I jiggled the connections and the noise changed timbre and then the machine went dead. No power at all . No lights . When you cross the two poles on the starter solenoid ( previously last year it would start and run ) nothing. Checked the battery and it is fully charged . I checked the fuses inside the battery box and they all looked good  but I must be missing something. Anyone have a clue what I need to do next to R&R. The closest repair place is 2 hours away in Mississippi . Any help would be appreciated.

I have  2008 Cub Cadet Volunteer Tracker.  Was running fine, parked and next morning electric fuel pump inop.  Checked voltage had 4.2 volts.  Swapped relays in fuse box, checked all fuses (good) and still low voltage.   Does the ECU control the voltage to the fuel pump or which relay controls the voltage to the pump?
Have checked all wiring and not found any place it could be shorted (not saying I may have missed something). I am at a loss.  Need Help Please.

Is it possible to add power steering?  If so where do I find parts?

Okay folks. I have a low power issue. Been like this for a few years. Place I work at bought 3 and all have lost most of the pulling power.  They gave them away after local shop worked on one for 3 months and it had great power for about 1 month and then crap. They replaced throttle body, fuel injector, spark plug and IAC motor. Seat belt switches have wires cut and left open so no seat belt warning light anymore. It revs to 6k rpm in neutral but when put in gear and take off in low it just doesn’t seem to want to go anymore. Running 93 octane fuel with Stabil.  Any ideas greatly appreciated. I dont have a scan tool but no codes on dash. If held to floor it pops a little and runs almost 5K rpm but if I let off pedal about an inch it smoothed out and revs up to 6k rpm.

When researching the Tracker, I was interested in the 800SX LE. The original sales literature indicated that the LE came with 27x9x14 and 27x11x14 tires. When I went to pick up my Tracker, it had 26” tires on it. I called Tracker before paying for the Tracker and was told they had supply issues and could not get 27” tires. I’m curious to know if anyone has taken delivery of an LE with 27” tires in stalled? I just recently installed 27” tires and am happy with the added ground clearance and beefy look the machine has taken on!
