I've welded on my Trooper many times before, but recently I was told I should unplug the circuits in order to keep from damaging the electrical system.

Would this be the place to disconnect on the red switch?

I have always disconnected the battery. That way no chance anything may have been hooked up by passing the switch.

I would not leave the computer plugged in and preferrably remove it from the vehicle. I damaged one when I welded without disconnecting it however I was using Heli-arc in DC which initiates its spark with a high frequency spark to jump the gap. High frenquicy can easily kill a computer. Years ago, I developed some machinery that used a high frequency generator to cure glue in laminates. This machine was computer controlled and we had a fit at first with the high frequency getting into everything and blowing stuff. High frequency current runs on the surface of conductors and can jump around. It gets into everything and shows up as a spike in voltage. We ended up putting probably a hundred or so capacitors in the circuit to catch the spikes which solved the problem. I now remove my computer before welding even with MIG which doesn't have the HF. Fortunately I had extended insurance and they bought me a new computer.

It's against the firewall behind the drivers seat. In your pic, it's about right behind the 2 white connectors on the lower right side of the pic.

Thanks Lenny! Is that the one with the metal cover on it?

Whoops ; I was trying to catch ya before you answered. I found out it was a plastic cover painted to look like the powder coated metal. :)

While you have the computer out, silicon all the way around it to seal out water, http://www.utvboard.com/topic/1834-trooper-computer-outputs-we-can-use/page__view__findpost__p__7396 2618386160104282158RlQWGL_th.jpg , the connector is a bit weird, you have to pry the loop to one side which lifts the plug away from the computer.

I have been searching and can't find much info on these units. Pretty surprising as every other thing I own I find a lot of info on. Researching for tech info and such it's like no one owns any of these yet I see them everywhere.

What electrical connection are missing in battery comp? it seems I am missing plug in connections and I am not sure what and how it is supposed to look like. If I can get an image and guidance would be great.

Does anyone know of a bypass switch or controller. They make one for Polaris which installs into the harness that makes the ECU think it’s hooked up in normal position allowing vehicle to operate normally as if you are wearing seatbelt.

      ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!
I purchased a Massimo Motors Warrior 700 UTV directly through the company. This unit was listed for sale on Ebay as a company demo with only 77 miles. Prior to bidding on the item, I messaged them through EBay and asked if there was "anything wrong with it and if everything worked properly". I was assured in writing that everything on the UTV was operational AND that it would be inspected before shipping. I also called the number that was in the EBay listing to verify that everything was operational and to make sure the item could be delivered to my land in Missouri. I made it VERY clear that I was not interested in bidding on the item if those two things were not acceptable. I was assured over the phone that everything was operational, that it would be inspected prior to shipping and that delivery to my land in Missouri was perfectly fine.
It was not delivered to the address agreed to by their contact listed in the EBay listing. And when it was received, there were multiple items that were not operational. Items that were defective when it arrived include a headlight, a backup light, both horns, the horn wiring and the parking brake.  They refused to even supply me with replacements for all the defective parts. In response to the BBB, Dave said it was sold without a warrantee.  The listing very clearly stated 180 day warrantee for parts.
In addition, the windshield that was clearly shown on many photos on the listing was not delivered with the UTV. That's correct...THEY STOLE THE WINDSHIELD before shipping the unit to me. The first representative from Massimo Motors told me multiple times that “the company will make things right for me”. He did supply me with a couple parts; which I installed myself. Later, he told me that he is no longer with the company. Dave, the new contact never offered any reasonable solution to any of the remaining issues.
His solution to STEALING THE WINDSHIELD was for me to fabricate one myself.
      Unbelievable experience. See files attached.
Hope this helps others from making a BIG MISTAKE.
      See photos attached for proof.
If this help, please let my “buddy” at Massimo know why you aren’t buying one.  Here’s his info:

DO NOT BUY ANY THING FROM HISUN Period! I had the axis 700 for 2 months when a rat or squirrel ate both wiring harnesses. (Main & ECM)Wanna know why? Because the manufacture of these things in their infinite wisdom use either, a soybean oil or a peanut oil to run the wires through the the wire loom. Hmmm i wonder why they would be inclined to eat the wires. So now I have $10K machine that I've only had for 2 months when all this happened and they will not warranty it at all. It is going to cost me $800 to $1000 to get this fixed. Here is a link to a video showing where we took our Hisun notice how many are there:

So counting mine, there are 16 of Hisun Axis on the lot that i took in for authorized dealer, with the exact same problem, plus other troubles that the mechanic explained to me. This particular place told me they are not going to work on them anymore. I will be posting this in as many places as possible to reach the masses. I hope its worth Hisun!
