Well yes but if I had to do it all over again I would take off the head and send it to rick it made it so much easier and you know it is right it is worth every penny that rick charged. When you take it all apart take some white out and mark all the spot so you have everything aligned up even mark the timing belt and gear so you get it back in the same place I really like the cams

How hard was the installcould a back yard dummy with some tools do it. Robert.

Keep in mind that when doing the cams, you will get a modified cam belt pulley which advances the cam timing. This will use different and new timing marks when installing the belt. The original timing marks will still be on the pully, just not used.

older yamaha shims work fine i use them in mine and the come in a lot of sizes. we used too change cam timing in our race bikes by maching the bolt holes oblong. i don't know if that can be done on the 1100 but it would be worth looking into. we set up a degrea wheel on the crank and a dial indicater on the cam bucket. you will have to know the lobe centers on the cams to do this. intake and exhaust will probably be different. with some playing you can realy get the most from them.
