Hello congrats on the little on. COLD COLD WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT COLD? I LIVE 80 miles from Canada I have seen snow every month of the year. Every year we get a cold snap that will be -30 that's below 0. I have seen -60 without wind chill. And then we will be 110 in the summer not every summer but most. A Few years ago it was cold all summer long we got snow on the 5th of July. But its all good.

Ah yes, the cold season, got frost and snow here in "heaven". Snow on the mountains, but a warm spell coming for a few day and my son's heading for the dunes and I can't walk because of my ankle fusion and wheel chairs (temp) don't work well in the sand. :(

I have my photos at http://community.webshots.com/user/kinarfi and I even have a short movie for you from the passenger side.

4x4x454, sounds like what I had to endure when I lived in Wyo. the snow never melted, just blew back and forth until it wore out.

The weather here in the Las Vegas Valley is great in the fall through spring. We do have an occassional cold windy day (like last week-end) but for the most part its pretty good. The summers we won't talk about  However the valley is closed to riding so we have to trailer outside it to ride.

I realize that many of you do not have diesel machines.  For those that do, this is for you:
Just wanted to post my experience this past week.  Here in Texas, we had pretty good dip in temps.  For 4 days it did not get above 25.  At night, it was single digits or close to it.  I always put Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer in the storage tank (30 gallon).  And up until this tank I was using Power Service (white bottle) for anti-gel.  Never had an issue.
This tank, however, I switched to Stabil All season (anti gel).  It is supposed to good down to -40.  Zap.  That is a big fat lie.  I put in twice the amount called for in the instructions.  Result was less than optimal.  I drove the SxS 100 feet (to go get the mail) and it died.  I looked at the fuel bowl and it was a cloudy, wax substance.  So, the Stabil did not work.  That said, I'm not sure that I ever tested the Power Service in the same manner.  So I am not saying that one is better than the other.
What are your experiences?  Are these products inferior?  What do you folks in the northern states / Canada use?  Am I missing something?

      Hey everyone,

I am looking for people who enjoy remote adventures to test a new service I have launched, I thought I'd reach out to the community here.

Almost three years ago, my travels took me to Cape Scott Provincial Park, at the northern end of Vancouver Island,  a remote area on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, where I spent a week. While there, I realized I would have had no way of getting notified of a distant earthquake and the resulting tsunami. My Garmin inReach would have allowed me to call for help in an emergency or to get a current forecast, but it couldn't alert me in the case of an immediate risk. Imagine a similar situation in an area at risk from flash flooding, forest fires or a tornado. When I got back to civilization, I tried to find a solution. Surprisingly, no one offered a notification solution using a satellite device like inReach!

So, I founded a company called Adiona Alert to provide the service I needed but couldn't find.

After more than two years of work, including testing the service over the last six months throughout North America and issuing over 2000 safety alerts, including severe weather, to our small fleet of test devices, we are beginning to invite people to join our Early Access program so they can start using the service today for free!

Given where your adventures likely take you, this community would be perfect to test the service.

As we slowly add small groups of users, It would be great if some of you would apply for our Early Access program. You would get these potentially live-saving alerts for free. All I ask in return is to share your thoughts, suggestions, and even complaints with my team to improve the solution.

I would love you to visit our website - AdionaAlert.com, to learn more and apply for our Early Access program.

Thanks for considering this, and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

      J.S.
