Just got back from Gordon Wells. I put 1300x 15" paddles on the back and left the front tires stock. I could make it up test with it in 4 wheel drive with nothing locked up in 2 nd gear. The steepist part i could get about 7/8 up the hill. I could dune very easy in 3rd gear. With a good set of front tires you could probably go any where you wanted to. It would be nice to have just a litttle more hp.

Sounds like you had fun!

What rims are the paddles mounted on? What is the width of the rims? How was your temp while you were climbing and running the dunes?

Thanks,

I had a set of douglus wheels laying around with the 5 hole patern. 10" wide rims. I redrilled the holes for the correct bolt pattern. Tried the tires first with high air pressure so the tires would spin. The tires worked alot better with low preassure (no wrinkles in the walls) Water temp stayed around 190 the whole time. It was a blast beiing abable to break the back tires loose when turning going from bowl to bowl. The tires really help on the ground clearance issue. there was none.

Don't see where it would hurt you, it going to make the tire alittle taller but i think it would be close to the same as the 10s, usually i run a 12, just had these wheels laying around. I think the biggest help with your tires will be what you put on the front. With he stock tires i had it seemed like i was pushing them all the time. These things will go good in the sand with a tall tire and a good foot print.

I hit a rock today and put a big big hole in the front tire. I was able to crawl back 6 miles and the tire stayed on the rim did not ruin it. can I put Big Horns on the front and leave the POS Far East tires one the rear or will this cause issues when locked in 4 wheel drive?

I run the big horns on the back, they are a very good tire, you will notice a difference right of the bat. Just don't run alot of tire preasure because they will get big. I love the tires for all around playing.

4x4x454,

Yeah been there. While I was waiting for my spare to arrive I was climbing a hill with a huge rut down the the thing. Hit a rock and pop the bead on the left front tire. No damage except a flat tire. I was two mile off a 4x4 road with hills. I had cell service and called a friend that I ride dirt bikes with as he would be the only one that would know where I was. He started driving and I started walking carrying that stupid flat tire. Oh, did I say the tire was stupid, it was getting carried. Finally after walking for more than an hour I made it back to the 4x4 road. He finally arrived and took me back to the house for air. I left my brother guarding the T2. I loaded the inflated tire in my 4x4 pickup and head back out. I was able to get almost within a half mile. Arizona pin stripe all down the sides of my perfect painted pickup. Climbed the hill carrying the stupid tire, mount it back on the T2 and my brother drove it out. Total time nearly 5 hours. Phoned my dealer the next day and he pull tires from a in stock T2. One came with my T2 but after that ordeal I paid for a second. Never again since we do so much solo play.

How did you happen to have a jack and lug wrench? or did you learn the hard way like I did. I was out there and had a flat with no jack or wrench. Thanks to a guy in a old willies jeep, I got it changed. That's a long story short.

We have the early model with the storage under both seats. T2 is loaded with everything one would need; lug wrench, jack, flares, space blankets, folding shovel, tow strap, first aid kit and tools. That is all under the passenger seat. Under the driver is the winch, tarp and legal papers in sealed plastic. When we go out we always carry water & snacks in the ice chest. We are prepared.

Silverbullet.

Sand stars work great in front. We can climb comp hill no proublum. They are only 26x12 but this gives you more power to climb. We use them front and rear. The 26 gives you that little more power. You will need spacers to fit the wheel's

I have a full set of four Aerospeed paddle tires for sale. 2 tires on 8" wide rims 25 x 12 and 2 tires on 10" rims 25 x 12. I ran these on my Joyner Trooper and like silverbullet said, they would pretty much go anywhere I was only stopped by the real tough hills. They are brand new, only used them twice. two have been patched, nothing serious and hold air, well, forever. They also have Green Slime tire sealant in them which keeps the thorns at bay. I'll take $250.00 for the set of 4. Being 12" rims, you will require 2" wheel spacers. I don't think shipping would be too bad but if you send me your Zip code, I check on a price.

I have a 2018 TW450 that runs fine on flat ground but dies out when under load going uphill. Changed the gas filter and spark plug with same results. Letting it set for a few minutes it will run until it hits a incline. Belt is not slipping, but the engine just dies out and doesn't even want to run in neutral. Any ideas as to what I can try is appreciated in advance. Also only run non-ethanol for fuel.

I just purchased a 2023 Honda Pioneer a couple of weeks ago and had the hard roof and a front Honda Pioneer windshield installed at the shop before taking ownership. As things are drying up here in NC, the grass and dust are beginning to fly right through the back of the cab while driving. I was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations on rear windshields, dust panels, or mesh screens to help stop this?
      Thanks a lot!

Hope I posted this in the right place. Looking for the left side shaft carrier where the rear bearings go for an 1100cc sand viper, I understand an 800 cc carrier will also work. I need the old style two bearing with the spacer in the middle, the new style with just the one wide bearing wont work. If anybody has one I'll buy it right away. my email is [email protected]
