Couple of recommendations. First, would be to try a starter/alternator rebuild shop. That's a common route for the guys who use the high power car stereos.  The alternator shop can put the high output parts in your alternator much cheaper than buying a new one.

Next suggestion is to use the alternator from the diesel engine model.  They're a higher output than the gas models.

Thanks for the suggestions Ken. Problem is, finding the correct brackets, pulleys, and wiring harness.

Maybe I'm not understanding the problem. Are you suggesting that you'd need to add a second alternator?

Kawasaki makes parts to where you can add a belt driven alternator, either in place of or replacing the stator behind the flywheel...

Okay, I guess that I just assumed that all the 3010 gas models came equiped with an alternator.

I thought that too, at first, but I looked at the parts breakdowns and it shows the bigger alternator and mounting brackets in the "optional" parts list .

The alternator doesn't replace the stator because the stator also provides the timed ignition voltage to the coil, which then fires the spark plugs (it has two sets of windings). The stock stator, according to my information, provides about 15 amps of electrical power for lighting and accessories. The optional alternator can provide up to 50 more amps. Finding the kit is like finding hens teeth though. 🤣

Have you thought about running a small generator instead. Because there's no way that you can pull that many amps without the engine running anyway. So why not a small generator? They're fairly quiet, and would be multi purpose too. Similar price, easier installation.

Get yourself a 2000 watt inverter generaor (for quietest operation) and 100+ amp 12vdc power supply.  Bolt the generator to the back.  Then go for a ride.  Alternators for UTVs and ATVs are barely large enough to run the lights, computer, fuel pump and ignition system (about 400 watts).

Hey all, I was just wondering what you guys consider a necessary upgrade or spare part to have or mod onto your machine.
I'm going for a kind of shtf survival rig that's not going to be SUPER heavy and I'm looking at getting:
A spare belt (I keep seeing this mentioned everywhere I look so it must be important)
A spare tire and mount( So would I need a jack like one from an old jeep or something else?)
      Tire chains for the winter
And maybe a cargo bed upgrade so things don't slide out.
      Bumpers because duh.
I already installed high output lights and have a windshield, roof, back window, and winch. And I outfitted a Molle panel for the back of my passenger seat with extra supplies like food, first aid, and spare mags.
Any advise on increasing durability, longevity, and having something on hand because it's absolutely necessary would be a plus.
      Thanks so much!

Does anyone know of a bypass switch or controller. They make one for Polaris which installs into the harness that makes the ECU think it’s hooked up in normal position allowing vehicle to operate normally as if you are wearing seatbelt.

      Hello -
New here - and looking hard at a 2026 Mule Pro-FXT 1000.  My wife insists we'll be going with the Platinum Ranch, because in her words, we already saved $ by not going with a Honda 1000-6.  Ready to pull the trigger on this ... almost.
We were looking at the factory soft cab, but then realized this won't work with the standard hard top, as the soft cab has dual back windows to accommodate the 3/6 folding seats.  However, we like the hard top.  So recognizing there's a lot available in the aftermarket world, does anyone have suggestions relative to an aftermarket soft cab (sides, rear window, etc.) that will work with factory hard top, windshield and doors - and also allows for a (relatively) simple 3/6 seat conversion?
      Thanks,

Just bought new 2024 AODES 650 work cross 2 seated for my dad and he's very resilient at 79 and still cuts trees, splits and hauls firewood for heating home. He's begun using Polaris ATV with wagon more over his 80's toyo4x4 flatbed after the wood has been split. I figured UTV would be easier, more practical at times and more fun. It does not have a heater and would like suggestions on one that best suits his. He's tough but gets chilled easy now and a heater would make joyriding much better at this time of year. I Have found nothing that specifically Says it's made for this particular UTV I don't know what to make of the More generic Hacher versions Or how adaptable they are. I've read They have come from the factory with Heaters but It says nothing about Adding
