Need help 2010 Kawasaki mule 600 voltage regulator

I have a 2010 Kawasaki mule 600 I've ohmed the wires to the voltage regulator and stator and to the ignition switch all read good. Now when I plug up my voltage regulator it gets extremely hot and so does the wires. I've used my volt meter and checked the plug and I'm getting ac out instead of DC out to the battery. I've got 22 volts ac going to the voltage regulator and it's putting out 3 volts ac instead of DC anyone know why or what I need to check

Regulator is definitely  defective..., you should also be getting at least24 volts  AC on each A/C wire... DC volts are AC volts split in half... so AC 22v = 11Volts DC...

at the battery I like to see about 13 or 14 v or so idling, and up to 15v at high RPM.

It isn't uncommon for the regulator to get warm, hence the fins on it... but the wires should stay cool.. Heat is generated by resistance. That's one thing i really don't like about some meters, when continuity testing, they apply a small load to the wire, under a small load a wire may test fine, but when a higher amped load is applied that's when it gets hot or voltage drop occurs.

      I realize this part is discontinued but im trying to find this exhaust pipe fir my dads 550.  His brother who has since passed bought this mule for my dad who is now 90 and he is trying to fix everything on it.  I'm willing to take a used one.  A new one would be great if someone still had in stock.  I'll take anything as long as it is in workable condition.   If anyone has any ideas for me im open to hearing them.  Thank you so much.

      Next problem with charging system to tackle, any help would be appreciated.
      New starter solenoid....check
      New Voltage Regulator...check.
      Dynamic test to Stator.....bang...pulling like 2 Volts AC
      Problem: Without pulling the part out and stranding the vehicle at the shop forever.... I am trying to find the correct stator or at least one that might not be exact for the Massimo Buck 400S, but fit and connect and do the job if that makes sense.... if anyone has any ideas, please shoot them my way.

      I bought this SxS brand new.  A couple of years after I bought it, I became disabled.  Thus it has only 47 miles and around 16 hours of use.  I have no need to keep the SxS.  I am in Foley, Alabama.  It is very hard for me to get in out of the Challenger.  I would like to sell the set, 2019 Challenger 400, trailer and uninstalled winch (this was bought brand new as well, someone was supposed to help this newbie install and we never got around to doing this). I want  $6500 for the whole set OBO (Serious offers only).

      Must have upgrades/spares?

      Hey all, I was just wondering what you guys consider a necessary upgrade or spare part to have or mod onto your machine.
      I'm going for a kind of shtf survival rig that's not going to be SUPER heavy and I'm looking at getting:
      A spare belt (I keep seeing this mentioned everywhere I look so it must be important)
      A spare tire and mount( So would I need a jack like one from an old jeep or something else?)
      Tire chains for the winter
      And maybe a cargo bed upgrade so things don't slide out.
      Bumpers because duh.
      I already installed high output lights and have a windshield, roof, back window, and winch. And I outfitted a Molle panel for the back of my passenger seat with extra supplies like food, first aid, and spare mags.
      Any advise on increasing durability, longevity, and having something on hand because it's absolutely necessary would be a plus.
