Any possible way to change gearing in these. If a guy was to go up to 30 or 31" tires, would be nice to change gears to get back to original gearing for the super low granny gear for crawling or just dodging trees out in my woods.

Unless your rock crawling and want a super low granny, It's good the way it is with the 31" tires I have. I can even do a good job on the rockcrawl jeep trails as is. Not easy to change the diffs or trany for different gearing. I'm working on planitary gearing for the four hubs to get the low low type gearing but I have a long ways to go and not yet sure I can actually get it to fit and work the way I would like. Either way, it will be some time.

We just put 30" ITP's on a trooper and put all of the bars on, (fender bars, rock rails, etc.). It did take some power but I like it so far. I found out yesterday that Joyner is trying to get a ring & pinion set that is lower and a set that is higher to offer for the trooper. I did'nt ask specificly about the renagade. Also there is a company making a fifth gear ass. that you slide in that will bump up top speed on a stock trooper. I am waiting on the info to find out just how much for sure. One person said 70 and one said 79.

I've been thinking about getting a machine shop to build me new gears but if Joyner is coming out with lower ones i might wait and get them. i want to go back to tires but i want Interco Super Swamper TSL Boggers http://www.intercotire.com/tires.php?id=13&g=1 i really want the 33 x 14 but may settle for the 31 x 12.5. the best way to go would be Lenny's planetary gears on all corners to reduce the torque on the rest of the drive train.

I will try to find out when they think they will have the sets available and let you know. I think the planitary system will be awesome, but the added weight would be my concern.

That would be awesome if you can find that info out.

Thanks

I talked to Casey at Joyner yesterday and he said that they havent started making them yet, but that it is in the making and that he would tell me when he got proto's in. I would think that it may be awhile yet but I think it is a good idea. If anyone else gets a price on cutting new ones, I would like to get some info on them, price, where at, etc.. As soon as I find out more I will post it.

Decided to do an oil change on the Massimo ...drained oil, screen was very clean even tho oil wasn't.  Then went to remove old filter.. holy crap ..I tried every tool I have, could not budge it..Went to store and got one of the end cap type..fit nice and tight, put a 1/2 in drive ratchet on it..nope..not moving.  Put a 18 on breaker bar o. It. The inside of the removal tool broke off!!  Had to weld it back together. Put a pipe on the bar for more leverage.  Finally broke it loose..
I have never seen a filter in my 55 yrs of working on engines so tight..And i was the one who put it on 2 yrs ago.  JUST HAND TIGHT!

Hello, All!  I've decided to replace the traction batteries in my 2018 Sector E1 with a 48V Lithium set. They may be expensive, but I figure the Discovery Dry Cell are, too. I am not looking for the max driving range, as I have never received near the brochured range to begin with, but a good mix of charge/ get work done/ charge is what I am expecting.
I have settled on the 48V EAGL kit from bigbattery dot com. Each battery pack provides 30Ah. The kit ships with a charger, as well. The packs would be physically connected in parallel (using a busbar) to one another, maintaining the 48V voltage, but together would be able to provide the amp draw the buggy pulls when going up hill or towing a rake (rated 320 max continuous Amps). This is in comparison to the serial connection the eight 6V lead batteries. Each of the EAGL batteries looks to have its own BMS; am I correct in thinking I will have to use their included charger rather than (simply) changing the onboard charger to lithium mode? The chemistry of the pack is LiFe PO4, for what it's worth.  I haven't torn anything apart yet (to diagram), so  I am not sure how the dash will interpret the AMP draw, but the kit I am looking at includes a dash mounted charge indicator.
If anyone has completed a similar conversion, do you have any tips? Specifically, how did you remove the original batteries, and how did you secure the new ones? I am guessing that almost any change from the stock batteries would involve at least some modifications. Any tips would be appreciated, especially things I may have failed to consider. Thanks!

Hey Guys, I have been chasing a stalling condition for about two weeks now. The bike will crank up and idle fine, then after about 20 seconds it will fall on its face and stall. It happens at both idle and while running at various rpms. You can turn the key off, turn it back on and it will fire right back up without trouble. I have verified spark on both cylinders with a spark tester. I have also added an inline fuel filter, and pulled the injectors to verify proper pulse on each. Things I have replaced - (relearn procedure performed after each component replaced): spark plugs, ECU, relay/fuse box, fuel pump, & throttle position sensor - all with no improvement of the condition. The only warning light I get when the condition occurs is the oil lamp. The bike only has 14 miles. I am at a loss and appreciate any help and suggestions! Thanks

Just bought a 2014 Volunteer. Can anyone tell me what parts have to come off to change the oil and filter. I can see them but I can't figure out how to access them. Thank You

I own a K9 with 50hrs that has been in for repair more than once the farm.  Multitude of issues, trying to file lemon on it but interested in knowing if owners are organizing for a class action suit.  The dealer informs me there are “a lot of owners very unhappy with these”.
      Thanks
