  1. I may just put air, which is 80 nitro anyway. I can put in welding gas, but I need to get a fitting - no big thing. However, with the reservoir: 1) The larger air chamber won't allow air to heat up as much as if it was in the small shock reservoir, (the shock should be filled with nitro anyway, but I don't have that here) 2) I can up the pressure, or lower it on both shocks at once instantaneously. I can also keep a check on the shock pressure, which I couldn't do before. This is important for those who load their vehicle down with gear for hunting, or like I did, with an extra seat and two people in the back.
  2. Now that I have a perch on the back of my joyner, I wanted to up the shock pressure. Turns out shocks leak, and the left one was at 50#, and the right at 90#. Wanted to have a remote tank with guage and fitting, both shocks plumbed in to the same tank (I ride pretty even - either 2 or 4 people). If you'd like to see pics of a DIY with no welding or machining, go here: http://www.pauldaytonscifi.com/spotlight.html
  3. Sounds good to me. Do you have a web page? Do you accept phone orders, purchases through Visa, etc? International shipping, or only to states? (I live in Panama)
  4. The first pic here might help a bit. http://www.pauldaytonscifi.com/spotlight.html I burned the old box and it's now gone...
  5. The final question on Jose is important. Waiting for an answer too.
  6. Yup, New 500 amp kill switch ordered on ebay; New 40 amp breaker ordered ebay checking relay tomorrow found braided line here in panama - no easy task, plus the guy didn't want to sell it cus he didn't have fittings, or so he says. Bought it, plus bought fittings, and will be putting everything together in the next few days. Once done I'll post pics
  7. Yeah, I got a champion 4000 lb winch too, but in this climate the humidity kills everything. The switch box fused together and damaged the kill switch before the fuse kicked in...
  8. When you remove the schrader valves on the joyner shocks, what thread is the hole? I'm trying to ad a remote pressure tank, hoping to be able to easily adjust the shock nitro pressure (using my local welding gas). Don't want to remove the fitting to find out - filling these things is a major pain here in Panama. Anyone buy an aftermarket main switch, and if so, which one works best? Mine just burned the internal contacts. I think I can clean them, but it does look flimsy and would prefer something beefier. Winch relay - which would anyone recommend? And an old, but still important unanswered question: Has anyone found aftermarket 2 or 4 pot brakes that would work with minimal changes? Brake pad area is soooo small on these machines. THANKS FOR ANY AND ALL HELP!
  9. I bought one from Radio shack - just a standard plug, connected it to my new fuse box supplied direct from the battery. It's worked fine.
  10. Ahhh. Too bad. Figured it might be a replacement when an ECM goes bad. Thanks Lenny.
  11. Came across this, figured some of you may be interested. As far as I can tell, This is a replacement, but check to make sure. http://www.tobefast.com/joyner-1100-trooper-computer-c-63650-p-1-pr-10000958-f-64524.html

    Door latch

love the work. What is the latch called? Better yet, do you have a part number?
  13. thanks Lenny! I don´t get that choice here, but I will be getting a higher amp rated battery. I'll just remove the battery holder and modify it...
  14. Anyone have problems with stock batteries on your joyner? Mine was dead after I left the buggy parked and the master switch off (no power) for 5 weeks. Before then, I had the rad/fan fusebox meltdown, which heated up the starter fuse connection. Had trouble starting it and nearly killed the battery. Got a new 450 amp battery, hankook, but the little 'eye' was black, like every other eye on hankook batteries here. It didn't have enough juice to start the thing either. It's charging now. Starting the thing jumping it from a truck. Should I be worried of something bigger, or is it just the batteries?
  15. I use motorcycle chain lube myself. It's under high pressure, and the liquid turns into a long-lasting wax after a few minutes.
  16. Me too. Have bigger issues frying though...
  17. I'm still trying to find decent 30" here for my stock rims. It's a losing battle.
  18. I hate runarounds. I like efficiency. Efficiency means honesty and clear answers. Anything else leaves me sweating bullets when I paid for something I'm not getting. I think both threads make the situation very clear. I think A buyer will be much more likely to give a seller a chance when ALL the cards are clearly laid out on the table.
  19. Part #s will be cool. I'd like to actually see what they look like too. Did you request any specific pressure?
  20. Well, I've ordered tons of parts from you already...and another list of stuff I keep adding to. One question: on this page, http://joyner-usa.com/800cc-python/ pic #7 has the vehicle equipped with offroad racing shocks. They're chinese. Do you sell those as upgrades?
  21. 15" rims. Crap. I just bought a 14" joyner rim for a spare. Retired and on a budget in a country with next to no choices...Guess I'll have to follow Rocmoc's math on better tire choices...
  22. What tires did you put Mariner - truck or UTV? And are you still running 14" rims?
  23. You're right ROCMOC. I'll have to invest in 15 inch rims.
  24. Will you have parts too? Those seats look mighty nice....
  25. I'd be seriously interested in the electric assist. But shocks come first. My rears aren't cutting it.
