  1. Thanks for the response. Anyone else???? A.
  2. Just wondering how many of you go back to your dealer for parts and service ??? Why don't you go back? Why do you buy parts elsewhere? A.
  3. new pad material is 3.6mm per pad. I measured 3 sets to make sure. A.
  4. There is a lot of things that get lost in translation. They are not even very helpful to the most experienced technicians. A.
  5. It would be pretty tought o get it completely water tight, but some venting would be good also. A hose on a nipple tapped into the bell housing and run up high to reduce water intake might be a good idea. A.
  6. I'm sorry if you have less than acceptable support from your dealer. Their are a number of dealers, all brands, that are only concerned about the sale and no support after the fact. This is not really Joyners fault, like I said b-4 this takes place w/all brands. As for it "being easy" for dealers...... you are sadly mistaken. We have to deal with, and take the heat for, all of Joyners issues. With the other brands all you can do is contact customer service. No parts , no warranty issue support, no weekend calls while broke down at Moab. As dealers we are required to meet certain criteria to be and retain our dealer status. Some do a good job, others don't. How many of your dealers covered the warranty labor that Joyner doesn't pay for.......most do not....... I do. I personaly wish Joyner had no contact w/ the public directly, other than customer service, like the other brands. This would create a better dealer network, with fewer derelict [sp] dealers. That being said...... I will gladly help any of you any way I can. We are in N.E. Nevada. Not right down the street from most of you, but will still try and help. 775-753-8223 or e-mail [email protected]
  7. I can tell you guys, from a dealer stand point, that Joyner has been really good about taking care of their customers. I have worked for / with the other manufacturers ie.. Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat, Polaris. Those companies do not step up like Joyner has. Joyner is currently going through a complete restructure which will improve part, service, and the machines themselves. You may have better luck going through a dealer rather than trying to deal w/ Joyner themselves. This is what dealers are for .... to provide support for you as the customer. Joyner has grown so fast in the last 2 years that they are struggling to keep up, and somtimes the customer isn't knowledgble [sp] enough about procedures to recieve good support. Please be patient they will continue to support where they can. BUT not all failures are manufacturer defect alot are abuse, and neglect, which should be determined by a dealer. Good luck A.
  8. please call me. need more info. 775-753-8223 A.
  9. what do you need I'll take care of you. A.
  10. So you have the new Panther 1000 now???
  11. Hi R95... glad to see someone here w/ a Ruesch. I would like to know how you like your machine? How long have you had it? Have you had any issues w/ it? I am considering adding these to my inventory, I'm already a Joyner dealer but am always looking for new products. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide. A.
  12. you would think so but that has not been the case here. doesn't take much to short a plug wire and cause a miss. A.
  13. My guess would be that when you washed it you got some water down around the sparkplug boots. It is shorting to ground causing the miss. Pull the black cover off of the valve cover, then carefully pull the plug wires off of the spark plus, look for water down in the plug holes. Blow the water out w/ compressed air. Would also be a good idea to use di-electric grease on the plug boots when re-installing. Good luck A.
  14. Hi guys... haven't been around for awhile.... "snowmobile season" Will offer some input here. We have a real bad dust problem here in N.E. Nevada. We call it "bug dust" pure flour somtimes gets to be 1-2 ft. deep. What I have seen from a couple of customers is that enough of this bug dust gets piled up in the pressure plate and it won't release when you step on the pedal. I think the bell housing needs to be seal a little better, possibly w/ silicone sealer. as far as a replacement clutch assy. I thought possibly Center Force might be able to cross over or make a good clutch for us. I just haven't had an opertunity to ck it out yet. I also believe that the pressure plate clamping force could be increased which would be better yet. One problem I see w/ this is the clutch slave cyl. mounting would need to be reinforced to keep it from flexing when applying theclutch pedal. My .02
  15. These are in good shape, sorry no pics right now. I can get some if you're seriously interested. We replaced them w/ ITP SS series wheels on our Trooper build up. Which can be seen on Joyners site, mid way down the page, customers rides #18. Edit... pics found.
  16. I've got 2 rear Trooper tires & wheels. These are take-offs. slightly used. $100 each plus shipping. A.
  17. for heat.... it would be a little more expensive but using the engine coolant run thruogh a heater core would be better. I've looked at universal kits for around $300. The only problem with heat from the exhaust might be the fumes pushed into the cab. .... just my thoughts. A.
  18. Not to add insult to injury...... but if you destroyed it doing a burnie on concrete, why would expect Joyner to pay for the parts. On another note, I have replaced rear diffs in some quads, that dont offer just a gear set, and they can be as much as $1200. Sorry about your bad luck but I dont think you will find an atv gear set for that diff. Sorry A.
  19. Hey guys.... I had 2 of my customers use a 90 off the tail pipe, then a 16 or 18 in. glasspack. Like a cherry bomb.... swept behind the radiator , then another 90 to kick the noise out behind the machine. No loss in performance, and dropped the noise level to a nicer "note". Just an option. A.
  20. This was the first failure for any of my Renegades. Most have several hundred miles, "no failure". This particular machine had 80 mi. Was owned by a survey company, bought it friday, came in the next tues. They destroyed the front drive train trying to get it out. They twisted one of the front drive axles completely off. Not normal useage. A.
  21. Oh yeah, they acknowledged it after the failure. Wish they had let me know before my customers had problems, but that's not how they operate. They did pony up parts for all that I have sold though. Just wanted to let everyone else know. A.
  22. I know this is the Trooper catagory, but since there is not one for the Renegade, I thought I would add it here. Maybe we could get a Renegade catagory. The Renegade seems to have the same rear drivline issues as the Trooper. Joyner does have the upgraded CV style for them. The shaft is about an inch shorter than the Trooper's. I highly suggest you replace yours if you haven't already. Thanks A.
  23. The ribbed rubber tubing is not as much of a restriction as it might seem. If you think about car and truck intake tubes to the air filter from the front of the grill, they are usually ribbed or corrigated. In some cases air moves faster over a rough surfece than a smooth one. The surface tension on a smooth surface is much higher. Little eddies will form in the ribbs and act like ball bearings creating higher air velocity. The biggest issue is getting it out from under the rear deck. There is entirely too much dirt being injested in the current location. In addition to that cooler air from outside the engin compartment will proved more Horsepower. A. P.S. I highly recommend getting a K&N filter to replace the OEM filter. Whether you relocate the intake or not, the stock filter is marginal at best.
  24. Give me a couple more days and I'll have one set up for pics. I'm putting it together as a kit. Not sure on the price, thinking around $50 w/o filter. A.
  25. Just found out about this place thanks to Brostar. Hello again to those of you who know me, and nice to meet you for those who don't. I am a Joyner dealer and will chime in with relevant info if I have any. If you have any questions I'll help out in any way I can. Ride on ....... Tim
