  1. Rocmoc, No offense at all, just making lite of my situation, I assume you're not interested in my deal and you won't trade. If I can't laugh at myself, who can I laugh at? I'd have to cry other wise, and I'd rather laugh. Sorry if I was misunderstood. It's all just fun stuff Jeff
  2. Thanks for the trooper section, it's so nice to not have fan boys bashing each other. fan boy, thinks his brand is the only one and others are junk.
  3. Flatbed, have you done this, do you have the 1/2 " hose from filter to pump that I have, I'm contacting companies to see what is available in really flexible tubing. Dropping in from the top sounds good, it will certainly get considered when I get my new tank & I work on this problem for real. Jeff
  4. I think every 250 miles sounds good to me, I think I'll change it again after my next outing to get the rest of the gunk out.
  5. Ah yes, the cold season, got frost and snow here in "heaven". Snow on the mountains, but a warm spell coming for a few day and my son's heading for the dunes and I can't walk because of my ankle fusion and wheel chairs (temp) don't work well in the sand. I have my photos at http://community.webshots.com/user/kinarfi and I even have a short movie for you from the passenger side. 4x4x454, sounds like what I had to endure when I lived in Wyo. the snow never melted, just blew back and forth until it wore out.
  6. I'll trade you two disabled legs, one with a fused ankle (currently on a cast) and new shocks from Joyner https://teamjoynerusa.3dcartstores.com/Troo...t_p_9-190.html# for two good legs, I'll even take the left arm if it come with a good shoulder ,
  7. I ordered a stock one from my dealer and even though it was less than 90 days, he said shocks aren't warrantied and it was $140, So I paid for it and have not had any further trouble. The funny thing was, one of his new troopers was leaking from the right rear which is what I had to replace, I bet he got his under warranty
  8. I have been riding & racing since I was 15. Me too, Started out on a Honda trail 55, then trail 90, Crashed, Kawasaki 350 bighorn, CZ, Huskys, yamaha 600tt+ XT's, Honda Transalp 600, Then I started flying, Crashed, disabled, NOW, I drive a Trooper T2 Wow, I ought to put this in my profile, I did.
  9. While I was under my trooper changing oil, I noticed how large the fuel line was, It looks to be about 1/2 " ID, I was expect to see something like a 1/4 " line. If I go down a steep hill and this line empties, that's a lot volume to refill, other than moving the pump up next to the tank, has any one done any thing else to the fuel system? Thanks, Jeff
  10. Replaced my blown shock and disassembled it. Not a bit of oil left in it, pumped it up with air and it all leaked out within 30 seconds. Not a bit of dampening in it either, just the resistance of the blown seals. The Shock Shaft size 0.865 Micrometer Body size 2.00 Micrometer Stroke 4.25 Tape measure Center to Center 17 7/8' collapsed 22 1/8" extended Tape measure Corrected 9-2-08 The Spring Length 14 7/8 Tape measure Coil Size 1/2 Tape measure Coil O. D. 3 3/8 Tape measure Coil I. D. 2 1/2 Tape measure 16 coils IT WOULD BE MY BET THAT A SLIGHTLY SHORTER (FOR TOPPING OUT) WOULD BE GOOD, PLUS, ONE WITH A BIT MORE TRAVEL WOULD BE VERY GOOD. JUST MY OPINION. I had this on that other trooper hostile site
  11. did you see what I did to my bolts for the skid plates? look at my" Oil Changes Xmission & Diff " thread Also check out the oil drain link on Parts & Pieces, I put it on mine and attached a hose to it, now all I have to do is bring the hose out through a hole in the plate, stick the end in a bottle and reach in and flip the lever to let the oil out.
  12. Can you do business via email & paypal, I like the drop ship idea
  13. Nice Avitar Brostar, where did you get the idea from for that photo? Imitation IS the most sincere form of flattery!!
  14. Wow, I just changed the oil in my Diffs and I think I should have done more often. When I drained the front diff, the oil was dark and looked like it was full of metal, when I drained the rear, it looked like liquid aluminum with pearl powder. The transmission oil looked normal and like it didn't really need changing. I have 2530 km on the front diff and less on the read because the dealer had to fix my locker. What did your oil look like and how often do you change it?
  15. Some time ago I suggested on another forum that each brand, model, etc. have it's own place. This is it and I'm glad to see it.
  16. I run between 5 (mountain goat mode) and I think I've come close to 50 on pavement and gravel, but then I'm almost 60 (years, not mph). It just scares me to take the engine to 6000 rpm. Normal cruise speed is about 25 - 35.
  17. http://community.webshots.com/user/kinarfi here's where I put my photos More photos at http://community.webshots.com/user/TrooperFolk
  18. Have I told this before? A.A.A.D.D. - Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder. This is how is manifests itself: I decide to wash my car. As I start toward to the garage, I notice that there is mail on the hall table. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys down on the table, put the junk mail in the trash can under the table, and notice that the trash can is full. So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the trash first, but then I think that since I’m going to be near the mailbox when I take out the trash anyway, I may as well pay the bills first. I take my checkbook off the table and see that there is only one check left. My extra checks are in my desk in the study, o I go to my desk where I find the can of Coke that I had been drinking. I’m going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don’t accidentally knock it over. I see that the Coke is getting warm, and I decide I should put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold. As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye–they need to be watered. I set the Coke down on the counter and I discover my reading glasses that I’ve been searching for all morning. I decide I’d better put them back on my desk, but first I’m going to water the flowers. I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water, and suddenly I spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table. I realize that tonight, when we go to watch TV, we will be looking for the remote, but nobody will remember that it’s on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I’ll water the flowers. I splash some water on the flowers, but most of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back down on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do. At the end of the day; the car isn’t washed, the bills aren’t paid, there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter, the flowers aren’t watered, there is still only one check in my checkbook, I can’t find the remote, I can’t find my glasses, and I don’t remember what I did with the car keys. Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I’m really baffled because I know I was busy all day long and I’m really tired. I realize this is a serious problem, and I’ll try to get some help for it, but first I’ll check my e-mail. Do me a favor, will you? Forward this message to close friends you know, because I don’t remember to whom it has been sent. Don’t laugh - if this isn’t you yet, your day is coming! And if I have sent this to you before….well, now you know why you’re getting it again.
  19. You could have rode them home Here's my dealers address, he says he's #1 in the state and has good relations with Joyner. http://apex-motor-sports.com/
  20. I wish I could take credit for surviving my crash. What saved me is that a rancher and his son saw me crash and got help coming and got me out of the plane in short order, I actually can't remember a thing from that day and was in a coma for the next 2 or 3 days. A nurse told me that with my injuries, I may have survived for about 30 minutes with out help.
  21. I'm here now, where'd ya go?
  22. Been to Kentucky once when I went looking for airplanes, went and looked at the Kolb in London, Kentucky. What a green state, I'm use to Utah where we have our fair share of desert, but we have our MOUNTAINS, & I love em.
  23. My dad always told me to be a bachelor and to teach my kids the same. He forgot to tell me about grand kids, but then he hadn't met the ones I gave him yet either. Now that I think about it, I wonder if dad told my 2nd son the same story? No kids, yet, but we're hoping. (Some kids parents! ay!)
  24. Cool, are the looking for any more help? Maybe you can give us some heads up on known problems and fixes. If it won't cause you problems. Jeff
