  1. Went to the dunes yesterday and then took off for Cherry Creek, had a good ride that had just about everything but water, my choice. My son drove and was a little more aggressive than I am, but that let me watch the snorkel, the scenery, the gps so we didn't miss any turns and take pictures. The snorkel worked as expected, PERFECT, took air in filtered air and passed it to the engine, didn't make enough noise to be heard, didn't slow me down. I couldn't tell any difference at all, except for a clean filter at the end of a 139.9 km, 86.9 mi ride. I really, really liked my modification and it worked great, mounting method included, I did scoot it down a bit and secured it at the hole with some lighter bungy cord and some padding to give the filter more clearence from the roll bar. The filter itself rattles a bit and needs to be siliconed around the rubber mount to the plastic base or maybe replaced with a K&N. One thing my son & noticed, at 6000 rpm, 55.5 MPH (via the GPS), there seemed to be a REV limiter. Has any one else noticed this? We only hit it once and didn't try to hit it again. I also added a few picture and a movie to my site, http://community.webshots.com/user/kinarfi

  3. Thank you, positive good, +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Negative bad Arguing real bad, I'm gonna go delete my negative stuff Try it, it's fun!
  4. Detbohica, I was looking at your area on Google Earth, when you go out to play in the dunes, do you go to Glamis or to your south east area, do you ever ride the Gulf of California?
  5. Here's a few more for halloween pumkin moon http://boortz.com/more/funny/2005_pumpkins_1.html

I don't see my sent PM's, is it a setting or what? Thank You Jeff
  7. If you haven't been to the Team Joyner site, here's the link http://www.teamjoynerusa.com/1100ccTROOPER.html Here's a link to all Owners / Parts Manuals http://www.teamjoynerusa.com/partslist.html
  8. How did you happen to have a jack and lug wrench? or did you learn the hard way like I did. I was out there and had a flat with no jack or wrench. Thanks to a guy in a old willies jeep, I got it changed. That's a long story short. Jeff
  9. My idea of a limit strap it to protect the CV and the shock when it unloads, with that in mind, collapse the shock some and take all the play out, then when you release the shock, see if it keeps the shock from bottoming and by how much. Realize that the momentum of the wheel and swing arm will stretch the strap more than just releasing what ever force you used to collapse the shock. MY DISCLAIMER, IN MY HUMBLE OPINION. Yes, bottom out = fully extending, trying to tear itself apart.
  10. If memory serves me correctly, the last time I jacked my T2's rear up off the ground, I had some play, but I also have let some on nitrogen out of my shocks too. My reasoning is that it should give me a softer ride and it is less likely to blow the seals out, I hope.
  11. I think this site limits how many photos you can have, 500K, so I opened a free account at webshots and posted my pictures there, then you can copy the code to post to forum and paste it into you post. that's what I did on the snorkel post. You can also upload videos to the webshots and post them also. I'm sure there are other place to put photo and some charge, such as smug mug. PS. Holler if you need help. Jeff PPS. As you will notice on 4X4X454's photo in the next post, his photo is small as required by this site, if you put your photo on webshots, we get to see the full size of it. My photos: and you get to see the rest also.
  12. From every thing I've seen and read, the answer would be no difference, they have the same manual, schematics, and I do believe the only difference is length and seating.
  13. Thanks Jimmy, I would like to hear what the problem you had were, may I suggest a PM.
  14. Maybe you'll have to do the vacuuming oh yea, be sure and clean the inside of the hose too. I put a bottle brush on the end of a 1/2" tube and spun it with my drill as I ran water through it. I would have preferred to buy the new wand and tube if had known it was gonna work so well. It's shinier and cleaner than my used stuff.
  15. I had a lot of problems at first with my Trooper and I still enjoy it, I blew shocks, cvs, drive lines, bad tires, broke fuel tank brackets, had a rock come through my windshield , had my air filter get dirty, Heck, had my whole rig get dirty, had my rear locker quit engaging, got rain and hail on it and me, this is just stuff you deal with, not get all bent out of shape because of. You've let your bad experience turn you into something and someone no one wants anything to do with. Forget about your joyner history and go make happy memories with your RZR and tell everyone how great you think it is. Speaking ill of an up & coming brand only reflects back on you, and badly.
  16. I agree also, I had my CV drop out twice, the 2nd was from running with a blown shock, it was topping out and bottoming out real bad and sounded bad. If you're trying to go flying , you may need to stiffen your spring. I don't know how you compress your spring to ease the adjusting, but I bet you own a handy man jack, that's what I used to take my shock apart with.
  17. Of course! You know I love posting information. Planning on a ride later this week. Also, I ordered a front wheel and plan to put 4 27 x 8.5 x 14 Grabber AT2 tire on, eventually. I only got 2500 kilometers on my far easts http://www.offroaders.com/tech/AT-MT-Tires...rabber-AT-2.htm
  18. I had some Shop Vac hose and tubes laying around and decided to try something and look what I did. I'm not too sure if I'm finished with it yet, but what I have will do the trick, if you want the filter above the bar, you'll need to use more of the hose or add another tube and maybe another support. My support is bungy cord, seen best in photo 20081020_7. I started the engine and revved it up a few times, but couldn't hear anything from the filter. I like it!! All my photos are at http://community.webshots.com/user/kinarfi I would recommend the VT2507 7' Hose and the VT2508 Extension Wand, stick the pliable end of the hose into the wand, mount filter on other end of the wand and cut the hose to length, it's easy to cut twice to get the length you need and very hard to uncut. http://www.ridgidparts.com/accessories/vacacc.phtml http://www.ridgidparts.com/accessories/VT2507.phtml HOPE These Links Work. http://www.ridgidparts.com/accessories/VT2508.phtml
  19. I'm out a here, deleted my suggestion and leave it all to you guys, do as you please and have a good day.
  20. Welcome, glad to see you made it over here. Jeff
  21. A lot depends on the driver, I have some disabilities in my lower extremities and walk with canes and I'm 6' 4".When I finally got to sit in an RZR, which were all sold out at the time, I was unable to get my feet in with any ease. I have only very little trouble getting into my Trooper T2, I stand next the trooper and swing my leg up and in and then sit and bring my other leg in. So, for me the Trooper is best, I tried the Rhino, but don't remember my impressions of it. The Trooper is very roomy also, because of it's size, which is why some don't like it. There's my two bit worth! Jeff
  22. Does anyone have access to some scales and be willing to weigh the front and rear of a Trooper and post it?
  23. I was putting the skid plates back on today and while my "nailed bolt" work Marvelously, they had a tendency to fall out or push up as I tried to put the nut on, so, I took a milk jug and cut it into strips and made holes in it with a leather punch and then cut into pieces, then put the pieces over the bolt to hold it in place while I'm putting the skid plate on. Worked great.
  24. Here's something to ponder, We have CV joints and they can only take so much deflection from straight, what if we put on a shock with slightly less extension length but slightly more travel? I think this would cost us some ground clearance, but give us more travel, if we have the ground clearance for wheel travel and we wouldn't be risking CV damage. Just an idea to consider. Jeff
  25. What do think would happen if we went with a 1/4 inch tygon or ether tubing (it's tough enough not to collapse)? I ask because that is what I was planning to use inside the tank, I wasn't thinking about supplying the return line volume. My other idea was to put a pick up line front & rear and have them join at a point below the tank. I think this would work also, but you would want to use the same size tube/hose though out. Jeff
