  1. http://www.ridingarizona.com/Forum/attachm...mp;d=1220425484 Look to the left of this photo at my lug wrench, Here's what I have for a lug wrench, I cut the head off a regular lug wrench and ground it down square, tapped the 18 mm 1/2" drive socket onto the lug wrench, with lots of JB Weld to fill in all the spaces. Of course, you could weld it on and you could even buy a deep socket or an impact socket. Also, If your worried about breaking a breaker bar, how tight are you putting you lug nuts on? I started using torque wrench to put my lug nuts on with and stop when the needle points to about 100 ft. lb. I was out one time and had a flat and NO JACK OR TIRE IRON, but some guy in a Jeep had a star wrench that fit, and the lug nut holding the spare on was so tight that a healthy teen couldn't undo it, they had to hit the wrench with an axe to undo it. That when I started using a torque wrench.
  2. Please fill out the member profile, at a minimum, most of us at least want to know where you're from and what you ride, the rest is good too. Put what ride in the "Interests" box, (just a suggestion)

  10. Another idea would be to remove the dampening block, put some regular oil in the tube, reassemble and then you have a coil spring with no dampening and you can add Rancho or what ever shocks.
  11. Information about Joyner Trooper Shocks diassembled Go to - http://www.utvboard.com/index.php?showtopi...40&start=40 and see post #46

  13. This is a shocking story? Remember that shock of mine that puked all of it's all over my swing arm. I got even with it. Take a look at all of the photos. I started sawing on it just below the seal, there was a nice notch there to keep my blade from going all over. If you wanted to use the help of a machine shop, or had a lathe, these shock could be made rebuildable, if you thought they were worth it. I did think it was pretty interesting though to see the guts of one of these things. If you were to shave off just enough of the top (or bottom since that's how it's mounted) to get the seal out, you could replace the seal, have the body threaded, and make a threaded cap to hold the seal in and just keep rebuilding it for the price of a seal & nitrogen. If you knew what you were doing, you could even make some adjustments to their dampening. I do think that the nitrogen in them is to keep them from cavitating during compression as the plunger moves away from the seal and has little to do with the lifting of the vehicle like the springs do.
  14. it would turn over but not start with the starter, But it didn't seem like it was turning over very fast. Congrats on the Spot, How much and which package did you get?
  15. Thanks, Yes the front was higher but not the much, and I hadn't burnt that much fuel, I think, It started and ran fine today, had to take it out and wash it. I guess I'll have to watch it for a while, but it did seem like starvation, or fouled plugs. Maybe the battery was low or weak and it supply power for both starter and spark. Just an idea.
  16. Yesterday, I had this happen twice, the engine died and wouldn't restart unless it was done by dumping clutch, wouldn't start with the starter. Any ideas. The first time, we were going up a slight hill after going slow though some obstacles and the engine had started acting like it had flooded and didn't sound right, the second was after getting home and it died as we were backing off the trailer. The first time scared me because were way out in the booneys and NO ONE was anywhere around. Time for me to buy a SPOT http://www.findmespot.com/Home.aspx
  17. Thanks for the link, have you designed anything for the Joyner brand, specifically the Trooper T2?
  18. When my locker wouldn't engage, I took it in for repair and I got to see what was inside the locker and how it worked, pretty interesting, but if you look, it'll probably cost you a gasket and oil which you'll probably want to change anyway. If you do, take photos. If you (you and all of us) are interested, I will create a site under the name of Trooper folks and share the pass word so we all can upload photos to OUR site. Heck I'M going to just do it, I'll PM the pass word to each of you who want it. Just let me know if you do. Jeff
  19. Thank you,I appreciate the support. Jeff
  20. This is the second time I've seen this and there was some air coming out of the hole in the top of the can when I had the filter off. Is it possible that I have too much blow by? or am I putting too much oil in? Thanks, Jeff Also take a look at some of my mods by looking at the other photos after clicking on the one above. I moved the hand brake splitter and there's a photo my oil drain set up and of the plastic piece holding my nailed bolts in place. http://community.webshots.com/user/kinarfi
  21. The purple walls in my Man Cave -- makes me think of the movie Failure to Launch and Terry Bradshaw's "special" room. You don't do any thing like that do you? and I don't want to know!!
  22. Here's what I plan to have as my final Mod for my snorkel air filter, I lowered it slightly for more clearence , should have put the garage door down and padded and strapped the bottom.
  23. Kids, Kids, Kids, I just don't about Kids these days, and if you call me an old man(disrespectful), I'll drive my Trooper over there and Kick your butt , of course, you'll have to voluntarily lay down so I can, having my handicaps and all , or you could make me chase you around in your Trooper with my Trooper . Happy belated Birthday 4X4X454
  24. Sounds good, Don't forget to take lots of photos, I assume you're have some welding done on your tank and I would really like to see what you do so that when I get my new tank, I have some ideas on how the modify it before I install it. I did see that it can be mounted higher than it is giving it more room underneath it for what ever mods we make. Jeff
  25. Where do you think the bracket should be? Thanks, Jeff
