Awwww Jeeeez; 17 views and no takers. Do you guys really think you are gonna hide behind rocks out in the desert where nobody can see you? Or are we all gonna have seperate Jamborees? Whatever!

Most of us are pretty shy about even sharing info in a PM. After all the years we have been together I only have a few names & tel # and that was after meeting at the Summer Jamborees.

Not Sad.........Mines 5 years old! ;) I just thought (being 900 miles fron anywhere near there) , it'd be cool to be able to recognize one another. Believe me; I'm not the "extravert" you guys might think; I'm usually the last one in a room to say hello first.

Oh by the way; I also didn't mean it to be "Joyner" owners only; but I can't change the title. My in-laws might come from Henderson NV; and they have a Yamaha. (I'm reasonably sure they won't post pics either.)

So Rocmoc; if you would; could you change the title to "Jamboree Folks" or something like that? :)

Ahh, you fellers and shellers are sooo shy over there, I cant believe it. Im not going to the jamboree and I dont mind showing you a photo of me and the misses.

Beautiful photo aye, it's our most photogenic and one we are very proud of.

Seriously though, I totally agree with Mopartist and think you should exchange photos and contact details, even if it's done privately, so come on, front up. I reckon I could find photos of Jeff and Michael (you know who you are) anyway. Front up and I'll post the real Mr & Mrs brostar for what it's worth

I don't know if we can make this forum or one of it threads private, but we can make an album in webshots Trooperfolk private. I'll start it up by swiping the posted photos and putting them there and put mine there.

I talked to Admin and there is no way to lock or make this topic or a portion of the site private. Sorry! Don't post anything you don't want the rest of the world to see or know.

Just refrain from using last names. I took mine off. Hows anyone gonna find out pertinent info ? (Something I didn't think about when i posted) I just wanted to put a name with a face. (I'd never remember handles)

When we travel, more people know us as rocmoc than by our real names. We have showed up at a full campground in Mexico to be turned away until they find out we are rocmoc. This is because for YEARS we have been know on the RV boards as rocmoc. We even respond to rocmoc when talking & visiting with people in person.

I've been meaning to ask you by the way......what is "ROC MOC"? .....and a "Kinarfi" too?

"Mopartist" is derived from me being a "Mopar" or Chrysler enthusiast, and I'm an artist...which makes me a "Mopartist" (I used to do cartoons of classic hot rods for clubs and stuff) :)

The center console is not working, anyone know how to fix it?

After three years, my Sector completely died.  Something caused the hot wire under the seat from the charger to disintegrate, so the batteries weren't being charged.  The batteries weren't charging 100% anymore, so decided to convert to lithium.
As most others have done, I went with 4-48v batteries in parallel, as I believe that will be plenty of amp-hours for my needs, but can always add more if needed.  I went with LiTime wired CAN batteries and mounted their digital gauge on the dash above the current one, which fit perfectly.  I didn't think the existing battery brackets worked well for the new batteries, so made my own out of aluminum L rails, which makes it much more secure (and saves a few more ounces :)).  Since I wired them in a 'balanced' configuration, I had to make all new cables from 0/1 gauge wire and 8mm posts.  I updated the DeltaQ charger to profile 233. Cleaned everything up (I must have vacuumed 20 pounds of dirt!), put it all together and... wham!
So far, it definitely is better than with the original AGM batteries.  Sustains speed better going up hills, and seems to have plenty of reserve current.  The difference in weight with 4 LiPo vs 8 AGM batteries surely doesn't hurt!
Thanks to everyone on this forum, but special shoutout to GNFO who was a big help.
      A few questions:
In the 'any tips' thread, EVSupport mentioned reprogramming the Sevcon to reflect the new discharge curve of the lithium cells, but I didn't see any more info about that or how to do that.  Is there any more info about that?
Have folks replaced the onboard 12v battery, and if so, with lithium?  I'm not sure why there is a 12v battery; why didn't they just step down the current of the 48v system to provide power to accessories?
Is there a recommendation as far as charging with the lithium conversion?  As far as I understand, it is better to let lithium batteries discharge somewhat (but not completely) than keep them charging all the time.  What do you think?
