LMAO    can you imagine the Media coverage if it had been Trump tripping three times?  Instead , most news IGNORES IT, and we get ABC reporter saying  how.. "endearing it was to see him get right back up and salute".... really?  looked pretty EMBARRASSING to me

Welp, almost 2 weeks with no problems, went to go grab some firewood and it clicked 3 times. However i did notice the circuit relay was a bit loose and i pushed it up into the plug a bit further. so maybe that was it. maybe. i doubt it though. Murphy's law is the law of my life.

It did fine for 2 starts afterwards. So i guess we'll see over the next few days if it persists.

The thing i hate most is it's so freaking random.

EDIT:

I took a look at the new connector i put on the trigger wire at the solenoid, the dadgum wire pulled right out of it..... I got a new connector  crimped on their now and melted some solder down from the top.

Random almost always = loose/corroded or otherwise poor connection, mechanical things (switches, relays, solenoids. etc.) usually either work or they don't.

if it persists, ill replace the female connectors at the Ignition switch (harness side)  and Relay. (Or when i get free time)

Acted up some again today....

so while i held the key in start, i kind of fumbled around with the ignition switch wires, on the Wiring harness side plug (female connectors which im about to replace) and i got one of the wires in a certain position once and it cranked over, but i couldn't get it to do it again. but where the plug in is, you have to have small hands to get to it.... maybe i need to fly someone from Kawasaki over here to reach back in there.

20210413_190338.thumb.jpg.82b496eee2b0a6db53ab53913bdafc61.jpgYou can see obvious corrosion in the top right terminal

That is where the white wire, which is fused and carries power from the battery to the keyswitch.

I did a resistance test on that 1 terminal, some instances it would show 0 resistance, and if i moved it some it it would vary from 3 to 9ohms , and a few times no continuity at all.

Here's what it looks like now, I put dielectric grease where the wire goes into the crimp terminal. I ran out and I want to put some on the blade connectors themselves. Then heatshrink each individual wire.

I also may try to find a big piece of heatshrink to seal this whole unit.

Heh, never knew crimping the end of those would help hold.

Learn something new everyday.

It was new to me less than a year ago--didn't know that plastic could be crimped...

Went to o'reilly's and got some dielectric grease, i went ahead and cut off the plastic connector from the new  Chinese ignition switch, since the same corroding can and will happen in it anyway, so i got some quick disconnects and plugged each wire in individually,  also greased the wire where it crimps and where the 2 connectors connect. and then put some waterproof heatshrink over each connection and wrapped it in electrical tape tightly to "dress" it up a little bit.

Well darn.

after doing the ignition plug in's all nice and pretty and the plugs for the  circuit relay, i went this evening, turn the key, Click. turn the key, Click,, turn the key, Click. Turn the key, VROOM, starts right up.

It then occured to me one connection i had neglected to change was the one that goes back to the neutral safety switch on the trans. looking at the wiring diagram, my interpretation is it acts like a ground for the starting circuit. so i cleaned it up, and put a new ring terminal on it.

we'll see.....

I replaced the stator on our Bennche 500 because it was not charging. It ran as long as you kept the battery charged. I replaced the stator now it’s not firing. The only problem I found was a wire in the new stator for the crank position sensor was in the wrong place in the plug. I switched it around but still no fire. Putting a meter on those wires and cranking the motor showed no voltage from the crank position sensor. Something I did or a bad “new “ part? Thanks for any ideas.

Hi everyone and I hope that is not a too forward questions for us newbies.
My husband and I are ready (next Spring) to open our newly developed nudist campground in Iowa and we are now looking for interesting activities to host.
Don't worry we are not going to try and sell you a membership because as of 2 weeks ago all of our 50 campsites are sold out for the 2024 season.
It was my job to sell site and now that is complete i am looking for interesting actives host for weekend.
We have 300 acres of woods, grassland, swamps and 2 small ponds/lakes and dozens of miles of riding trails.
we have gotten county approval for the complete 300 acres to be clothing optional.
We think we have a great spot for a weekend or several day ATV / mudder event.
Clothing would be optional for all participants and plenty of room for overnight camping and outdoor group showers.
Now we are looking to you pro  ATV riders to let us know if you think your group of people would fit in with ours.
Feel free to ask anything you would like to get a better idea of what we offer.

I realize this part is discontinued but im trying to find this exhaust pipe fir my dads 550.  His brother who has since passed bought this mule for my dad who is now 90 and he is trying to fix everything on it.  I'm willing to take a used one.  A new one would be great if someone still had in stock.  I'll take anything as long as it is in workable condition.   If anyone has any ideas for me im open to hearing them.  Thank you so much.

My rtv 1140 won't turn over.  I've jumped the neutral switch, and the brake switch, and checked the ignition switch. I'm not getting any power to the trigger wire on the starter solenoid.  It starts fine with the key on and putting power to the trigger wire on the solonoid.
Does a 2010 RTV 1140 cpx have a starter relay?
Does anyone have a wiring diagram?

I recently purchased a 2019 or 2020 (no manual) Massimo 400S Buck Series UTV.  It ran fine for a couple days but the low battery light was flashing while it drove.  It then died in the field one day and I was able to jump the battery and get it rolling enough to get back to the barn.  It started both times I turned the key for a couple days after and when driven died 10 minutes later in the driveway.  Even after jumping it had no juice, but with the key out of the ignition it kept trying to start, a quick look on the Google machine and it suggested starter solenoid or ignition switch was the culprit.  Fair enough, let's just order a replacement solenoid, right?  No way Jose....the pin connector on the UTV is a 2-pin white plastic connector and the part received is a 4 pin.  How do I swap that and make it work?  Can I even?  Where do I find correct parts in the future?
