I stumbled across this forum while researching our first UTV. Budget is $12K-ish. It will be used to haul firewood so a bed is a must. My wife wants to cruise around our small rural village and the back rural roads. We are in Ohio so it would be nice if we could license it for occasional back road use? A cab and windshield would be a plus too. Need two seats side by side. She saw an American Landmaster in a lawn mower store which started this discussion. Open to any and all suggestions.

Kawasaki, Polaris and Kubota are what i call "the big three" for utility vehicles... you get the best bang for your buck without sacrificing QUALITY.

If you get down to the cheap machines (Hisun, Massimo, Coleman, etc)  that are loaded with features and cost only around 9,000.... you're sacrificing quality.

This.  100% correct in my experience.   Buy one of these three quality machines and cry once (at purchase).  Buy the cheaper brands and cry hard and often.

You want a full cab, and street legal?

How about a Japanese mini truck. You get the full cab, and options include 4wd, heat/ac also. Very reliable, and 40 mpg. Already set up for the street!

What is the name of that truck? I’d certainly check it out.

Don't know the actual name, but if you Google Japanese mini truck, there's plenty of information that pops up.

Thanks. We looked at several UTVs but the wife liked the ease of getting in and out of a standard height golf car better. We are old geezers so that is a factor that we needed to be realistic with.

I have been searching and can't find much info on these units. Pretty surprising as every other thing I own I find a lot of info on. Researching for tech info and such it's like no one owns any of these yet I see them everywhere.

I have a Coleman 550.  Was having problems to start with where it would start and then shut off after a couple tries. It would take off and be good. It then got to a point where it would not start at all. I replaced the fuel injection twice the second time I replaced it I noticed a mouse or something had chewed one of the wires that connect the electrical to the fuel injector. . So two-part question first does anybody have a part number for that wire harness?  Second, any other ideas after I fix the wire harness permanently on what could keep it from starting I have gas flow up to the fuel injector.

Hi everyone and I hope that is not a too forward questions for us newbies.
My husband and I are ready (next Spring) to open our newly developed nudist campground in Iowa and we are now looking for interesting activities to host.
Don't worry we are not going to try and sell you a membership because as of 2 weeks ago all of our 50 campsites are sold out for the 2024 season.
It was my job to sell site and now that is complete i am looking for interesting actives host for weekend.
We have 300 acres of woods, grassland, swamps and 2 small ponds/lakes and dozens of miles of riding trails.
we have gotten county approval for the complete 300 acres to be clothing optional.
We think we have a great spot for a weekend or several day ATV / mudder event.
Clothing would be optional for all participants and plenty of room for overnight camping and outdoor group showers.
Now we are looking to you pro  ATV riders to let us know if you think your group of people would fit in with ours.
Feel free to ask anything you would like to get a better idea of what we offer.

Next problem with charging system to tackle, any help would be appreciated.
      New starter solenoid....check
      New Voltage Regulator...check.
Dynamic test to Stator.....bang...pulling like 2 Volts AC
Problem: Without pulling the part out and stranding the vehicle at the shop forever.... I am trying to find the correct stator or at least one that might not be exact for the Massimo Buck 400S, but fit and connect and do the job if that makes sense.... if anyone has any ideas, please shoot them my way.
