  2. No, still no spark after replacing the fuse, sorry.
  3. F1 fuse is a 5 amp and controls the ECU/dash display which would mean no spark. Dies it start (or at least have spark) with the f1 fuse replaced?
  4. I highly recommend a test ride.. even if you have to go70 mi .. I m 70 yrs old and rode ATVs since a kid so I speak from experience.I too have 1 Honda thats 25 yrs old and still runs. But I was genuinely impressed with CF MOTO. And no, I dont work for them.. We have had zero issues with ours and I do not baby them!
  5. Hy (pronounce he), just bought a Hisun Sector E1. I'll be using it to haul logs and stuff in the Sangre de Cristo mountains.

  7. I find your post very interesting. I just took a quick look and they do look like nice machines, but I don't have a dealer within 70 miles that I see. Your post makes me want me to take a closer look. If I were to be shopping for a machine, I'd make an effort to consider the CFMOTO. My Honda Foreman ATV is about 24 years old, and it could have a premature serious problem, but so far it keeps on plowing snow and hauling firewood. LOL
  8. I will do that. Can you please advise what makes the difference between the flooded lead acid battery and the AGM battery? Like, if the 2 batteries are both rated at 350 CCAs, does the AGM battery actually turn the engine over better than the flooded lead acid battery? Not doubting you, just would like to learn more about the kinds of batteries. Thanks
  9. I have owned many Hondas over the last 40 yrs.. All were absolutely bulletproof machines.. but I must say I bought a CF MOTO ATV 1 1/2 yrs ago because there were no Hondas available anywhere.. and it is fabulous.. 2 yr warrantee, dealers everywhere if I need one.. But so far, oil change is all its needed.. and it smokes my Hondas. My wife loves the automatic CVT trans and power steering and smooth IRS ...
  10. Simple check before you dig into the switch is to look at the winch motor terminals to see if the +/- cables match the motor markings.
  11. My advice is to get rid of that battery right now. Don't care how old it is or isn't. You are not getting the cranking amperage needed and are not doing the starter, keyswitch or starter drive any favors. Don't get another N-Everstart regular battery. SLA-AGM (Sealed Lead-Acid, Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries are the only way to go, unless you want to pay an exorbitant amount for a gel cell unit. Consign your existing battery to the lawnmower where it belongs. Also, beware of some of the AGM battery ratings as the Chinese manufacturers tend to be "overly optimistic". Interstate make a decent one if you want to shop locally. The above is assuming that the battery terminals and grounding bolts are clean, bright, and not frayed. Check this FIRST! 🏁
  12. It occurred to me today. My buddy's buggy came without a fuse box, so we had to order one, but it's not yet installed on his, so I took the cover off the new box and found I was mistaken. The bad fuse was a 5A marked F1. I bought a pack of assorted fuses, so I have a new one now. Although the F4 fuse was ok I listened for the fuel pump sound today, but the wind is blowing and I'm hard of hearing, so I couldn't detect the sound.
  13. Usually I will have to hit the key a few times to get it to turn over. The battery is only a year old. Maybe it needs a recharge? I used the UTV yesterday to clean up a bunch of branches and downed trees. It was idling most of the time, but it didn't stall or overheat. Ran like a champ. Used the winch several times, too. On the topic of the winch, the switch reads "in" but it's pushing the steel rope out. Did they wire it wrong? I wonder if I could just reverse the wires on the switch.
  14. Mine all start instantly with the AGM s.. even hot. seem to last longer too. I just changed a Chrome in my Honda, it was 7 years old and still worked but I figured it was due.. Dont want to get stranded 4 miles in the woods.😁
  15. Having owed ATVs/UTVs for 30 years, I would strongly advise owning only major brands like Honda or Polaris. The cheap machines are just what you pay for - cheap machines. Be sure you know where you can get service, parts, and answers to any questions prior to buying a machine. You need a dealer and not a Lowes store when something needs attention. I've owned Honda products which are very high quality, but I'd think hard about Polaris if I were in the market for a machine. There are a few other manufacturers that I'm sure offer reasonable support, but a dealer is critical IMHO even though the better machines are reliable. The forums are a good place for information of course. If you have a trail that you plan to ride in your area, go there and talk to the people that have experience. People really like to help.
  16. I have a 350 CCA lead acid battery in my 410. I still have the occasional slow start. Does the AGM battery work better?
  17. Agree on N Everstart battery..junk...I Have been using CHROME BATTERIES for years in all my ATV UTVs. Excellent battery. 2 yr warrantees
  18. 2012 should be carb. First T/S check is a restricted air intake. Remove the intake tube off the carb. If you have a critter "squatter" in the air box, the restriction of the mouse house will be removed and should clear up. The exhaust will smell rich and be sooty UNTIL the excess fuel in the muffler burns off........will take some run time to "clear". Next is a choke (fuel enrichment) problem and float level. Remove fuel line to carb and seal off. Run until the bowl runs low on fuel and a rich condition will clear up....run good for a short time and decline into the lean spit/pop/ reduced RPM and die. You need to post a image of the carb for which type choke you have. Honda OEM fuel enrichment cables were too short and resulted in a mall amount of excess fuel and kill the plug over several hours.
  19. sorry for the delay on this, I assume you have figured it out by now but for anyone that comes along later: Yes, the Coleman UT400 is the same as the Hisun HS400. Same for the various other sizes, all Coleman UTVs are rebadged models made by Hisun. The service manuals leave a lot to be desired, and leave out some important steps, but if you have some mechanical experience you should be able to figure out the missing parts.
  20. No worries, i'm not sitting around waiting. I just enjoy solving mechanical puzzles. F4 should be a 15 amp fuse and runs the fuel pump relay & dc jack. Without that you wont get fuel to start the engine. Replace that and see what happens. When you turn the key to on (not start) you should hear the fuel pump kick on (slight hum under the passenger seat) for about 5 seconds before it builds pressure. The little black boxes are relays, shouldnt need to touch those, and i'm not aware of any replacements aside from getting a new fuse box ($80ish bucks)
  21. Don't have much good to say about Massimo but my 2014 MSU500 still has the original battery.
  22. Yes! The U1 battery format is one of the shortsighted design issues in the 550 series. It is completely unsuitable for a UTV, but that is the hand we are dealt.I assume that you use the same battery in your 410. Just buy the biggest and best unit that will fit in the tray. I bought an AGM 350 CCA battery from Amazon. (ASIN: B0CKSKHDM6) There may be others that fit in that space, but my issue was resolved using the Sealed AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) construction rather than the flooded lead acid design. And NEVER buy a N-EVERSTART battery from the Big Wally if you want to get home! 🏁
  23. Yeah, mine is a Linhai platform. I don't have much time on it, but it's been reliable. I have had some starting issues, but I believe that's battery related.
  24. While I can fully understand Joe B's unhappy experience and his recommendation to go elsewhere, I believe that his unit is/was a HiSun. Those units have been shown to be very suspect, and Massimo was way undercapitalized to support the dealer network and their customers. On the other hand, my 2020 T-Boss 500-F (with the steel box w/dropdown sides) is a Linhai chassis. Except for a few design quibbles (front hood access, oil change mess, inadequate hitch mount and excessive reach with the steel box, overly bright display at night, etc), I have found that the Linhai version to be a solid, reliable, entry-level SXS. I've had the steering wheel loosen up (6 Phillips head screws) and the windscreen brackets needed realignment. I also replaced the 300 CCA U1 Lead acid battery that was OEM, with a 350 CCA AGM U1 battery. That solved the occasional cold start stall and kick back against the starter. The OEM flooded lead acid battery is just too small. Works OK in my lawnmower, though. 😒 I use mine for general banging around my land that has somewhat rough terrain, and I am also equipping as a fast-response vehicle to fight remote wildland fires. Bottom line is that I wouldn't ever consider buying a used 2019 or earlier Massimo or any other brand that uses the HiSun chassis of any vintage. 🏁
  25. Well, the dealer has had my 750 for seven weeks now for a number of issues that he has been putting off. Not a happy camper! However I was told that Hisun felt it was possibly an MCU problem and it was swapped out while it was in a no start condition. It seemed to run OK, so the original was put back in and they had a no start condition once again. They then replaced the MCU and felt that there might be an internal intermittent connection to one of the connector pins that was the cause of the codes and running issues. I hope to get my 750 back very soon and if it passes MY smell test, I will call this issue fixed at that time.

I just bought my first SxS.   (XP 4 1000) I have ridden and raced dirt bikes for 40+ years.  Old age has set in and I needed a new format to continue my off road adventures.  My wife and I enjoy exploring old mining sites and ghost towns all over Arizona.  We have a home in Southern Arizona and share our time between home and Phoenix.  We look forward to the tips and information shared here.
