  1. so before the yellow lock tight should I replace the bearings I hear no noise they are just loose
  2. thanks Rocmoc and when you mean HUB you mean wear the bearing goes correct no were the axle splines line up with the outer hub with Lugstuds
  3. I am sorry for this post I know there is tons of response on bearings I have read most of it. But what I am looking for is a simple responce and opinion. Im am not great with fabricating or have the time that some of you have to do things you have done to make the trooper better Ok my front wheel bearing are loos there tapered bearings from JMC i have talked to Casey I know there is suppose to be a little play it is what it is. I put red lock tight in the hub when I put the new bearings in.There is no noise from them but how the F+":> do they keep ketting loose and should I replace them is there a simple fix I was thinking the Hub that has the splines and the wheels studs might be sloppy
  4. on the trooper its on the passenger side firewall under dash rivited on
  5. I don't run high and low just one setting
  6. did it I got my kits off eBay xentex I believe it was 35$ a kit to convert two lights the bulbs are H3 mine are 35 watt you may think that's not bright but IT IS. I did it to all my light bar lights and I switched that to LED but took the HID lights and they are now my driving lights big big difference and yes I cut the wires to hide the balest from water and used the factory harness
  7. I had the factory light bar on my trooper played around with swapping bulbs never could get what I wanted. Also converted to HID go the kits off ebay 35$ a pair. But recently I just switched to LED 20" light bar should have done that first instead wasting time and money
  8. Kinarfi were did you put the foam???
  9. looks awsome atre you gonna put the back seat back on??
  10. i run 30s no rub and I agree with 2 scoops and they are heavy
  11. yes retaining ring is still there and The splines were greasy I put grease on them when I last had it apart incase future problems. I put it back on and it seemed ok but I didnt drive it much. The splines look ok except at the very end
  12. What's up guys so finally got some run time on the trooper. 67here in ma was a great day, so I'm riding along threw the trails some woops some hills little mud not driving hard, go threw a mud hole not even that bad got stuck On my belly pan winched out so I start making my way home and I'm like heck the clutch is slipping now, couldn't climb sh*t for hills or anything endless the rear was locked and using 4x4! Trooper ran great prior to this, so I'm going back and I'm like what the heck so I hit the fire road take it out of 4x4 unlock the rear axle doesn't wanna go anywhere!!!! So my brother is behind me I say stay with me and watch me so I lock only the rear and I can barly control it the trooper is all ova the place my brother stops me and shows me my r/r axle popped off the diff so I only had one drive axle looks like it had been off for a bit. Inside the axle hat the teeth are little worn at the end splines on diff look ok. I run limit straps on the trooper. I popped the rear axle back on with the help of a jack and drive it feels fine I'm worried is it possible I did rear diff damage and has this gapped to any of u I don't understand what happened??? I have an 09 trooper rear diff upgrade by Lenny installed by Lenny so if anyone has an opinion or axle shaft and snap ring let me know

  21. Ooh thanks I haven't changed mine in probably a year that's bad and it hasn't been changed since I had them rebuilt so I feel like I might be ok gonna recheck the locker make sure it's sliding and engaging right. Before I pull it apart. And I am as we'll gonna start changing it at least twice a year pending on how much I drive it. It's hard to work on it now cause it's at a friends garage so opening the rear diff would be a lot work in a day
  22. Hey I am curious guys how often do you guys change your diff fluids and when you do have you seen any metal in them the fluid??.
  23. carefull on the swampers I dont remeber but I feel like that was a pretty heavy tire. I have the zillas on mine NOT the mud zilla and I cut down a lot street when I go out and they have held up really well I run like 10lbs air
