being a v-twin, you may only be running on 1 cylinder... you may drop a cylinder due to a bad ignition coil, spark plug or valves out of adjustment...

Haven't sat in one to check out the room, but have you checked Kubota?
that's what i was going to say, the RTV900 i've driven has a little bit more room for the legs, and the cab is taller.

The yellow gunk needs to be addressed first, I'd say. If it's in the carb, it's probably gotten to the plugs as well.
I wonder if the ventilation tube isn't sucking up some oil on an incline.
Vent tube outlet is on the top of the engine, it's possible but not likely.

that's very possible, hopefully that fixed your problem.
i wonder if your choke may have been getting stuck closed slightly, enough to cause an issue when you give it gas for an incline but not normal running.

Interesting theory about the pick-up tube. Anyone know what it's made of? I'm sure that it's a brass fitting sticking out of the top. But what goes down into the fuel?
Pickup should be all metal/brass on the 610.

You might also see what a local or nearby Kubota dealer can get it for. 99% Of the time they won't charge shipping when it's shipped to a dealer.

Almost a yr later but I never buy Non-ethanol. But I do use Star-Tron. Your gas will NOT go bad if you add Star-Tron....unless you get water and water never did workload with gas. My portable generator has 2 yr old gas in it......with Star-Tron. Started it a few weeks ago, ran it for half an hr, ran great.
good to hear!

Should have a KAF620 v-twin engine,
The main thing when identifying an oil leak is to CLEAN everything... it makes it easier to trace.
You'll have to remove the primary clutch and clutch cover, then you'll have access to the PTO oil seal. If it is leaking from the crankcase cover, you just remove the cover and scrape the old gasket and install a new one. might be easier out of the frame but it can be done in frame.

ID tag location (which will determine model series) is usually on a sticker below the steering wheel on a horizontal frame rail.

I saw that video the other day, absolutely crazy.....

Drum brakes i'm assuming?
jack up the rear end (and take it out of 4WD if equipped) and see if it makes the noise with the rear end off the ground. if it does then its probably your rear brakes making the noise.
how long ago did you buy the machine?

I've always heard it is better for the batteries to discharge more before you charge them.

Yes... on new engines and older engines, synthetic tends to let the parts slip, instead of providing a film barrier that carries the part.

I would wait one more oil change for synthetic.
