Should be a single pipe.

And you also need to replace valve stem seals. to do that you need a VALVE SPRING COMPRESSOR. Go to amazon, type in "8milelake valve spring compressor" its about $20. Or, I have one im looking to sell in about 2 weeks.

Checked Fuses? Could be grounding out between battery (OR wherever the Power comes from) and the fuel pump.

One thing, the score marks on the piston (S) IF YOU CAN HANG A FINGER NAIL, YOU NEED A NEW PISTON

Does the cam have a compression release? Are the valve guides even>

Be sure to replace Vavle seals piston rings crank bearings bearing in the cover case check the cylinder head for cracks

GOOD! Might go ahead and get a new piston, Looks scored pretty bad from the pic im seeing
