  1. Got my power steering This weekend I got a blue wire on it and no instruction all I can find is speed sence wire what did you guys do with this wire

Unit should have three wires if i remember correctly, Positive and negative wires goes straight to battery and the third wire goes to ignition switch.Cant remember if third is blue or not but will check tonight.

  2. I just picked up my Joyner Trooper T2 and am trying to get insurance on it. I went through my insurance agent and he set me up with what basically looks like an auto policy costing $800/yr!!!!! This seems way to steep. He was telling me that he could not find anyone who would even insure the thing.I know there are a lot of UTV's running around out there, I can't imagine it's that impossible to get them insured. What companies do other people use to insure your UTV, and what kind of yearly premiums are people paying?

    Thanks for the help.

I agree with devildog.Below is the guy i went through and he got it for me with Foremost.Around 200-250 a year.

  3. Just give them a doggy bone. They will switch their devotion in a second for food. Besides Rick, I had more power then you the last time but couldn't shake you. Guess I'm not as good of a race driver. I figure with twice the power but half of the driving skills, I will run about the same as you guys. I do plan on bringing my paddle tires should we get into the dunes.

    Lenny

only reason you didnt shake me was you didnt try.If you hadnt rode your brakes the whole time just so i could keep up i never would have been anywhere near you. Really looking forward to seeing you and Jeanne again and meeting the others.

  4. The price including clutch and gearbox ,DHL shipping cost is 1800USD.

This CVT transmission is for 800cc and 1100cc chery engine

That is all the info Klungmotors gave to me...more to come.

Along with this we would need all new shifter and linkage, correct?

  5. WELL, time to bring this back to the top of the page. Looks like Rick, Lenny & us so far with reservations. Did I miss anyone? We are going to fit on one group space!!!!! Is this still a go?

    rocmoc n AZ

I think bruhaw is coming also, I spoke to him on Thursday and he was going to call Cal at Glamis North KOA. If anyone else is planning on going chime in.

  6. There needs to be some body/tubing updates. The Trooper is starting to look dated, IMHO! OR some new aftermarket stuff to change the looks alittle.

    rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

They are staying with the classic Trooper look that is so popular. Just like Volkswagen did for so many years with the Beetle.(LOL)

  7. Well were this hillbilly lives at we get about 4' of snow a year an I'm getting to old to shovel it any more or just getting to lazy to shovel it any more. And in the instruction it said move dirt and gravel so I guess you can plow cactus with it to (lol) And yes Hillbilly Snow Plow inc does make house calls

I know what you mean.I am a re located hillbilly myself. My father was born in Danville and later moved to Cincinati where i was born and a short time later grew up in Florence Kentucky there in Boone County.Ended up here in So Cal when i was about 13 years old but have very found memories of the snow and being a hillbilly.

  8. We will start a list of all those that need their snow plowed. Where do we schedule a time for plowing? Can you do it at 3:00 AM so as not to disrupt our day?

    Lenny

yea Lenny, we could really use it here in southern california. How about it plumber, do you make house calls??(lol)

  9. I first tried to brighten things up by changing out the two outer bulbs to 100W and inner light bulbs to 55W on the light bar. The original 35W bulbs are cheap and they pull about the same or more than a good replacement 55W bulb. I think even with the higher watt bulbs I was still pulling about the same amount of draw as I had them all checked at a place that deals with off road lighting. I had them working for a little while and then blew the 15amp fuse. Don't know if it would have blown again but I just disconnected one 55W light and they were fine. Later on, I then replaced fuse with a 20amp and it was OK. Still not enough light so I replaced all the lights on the bar with 4" Hella Optilux HID lights and what a difference. Easy wiring as you can just cut the ends of the original lights and splice to new lights. The Hella's don't even draw as much as the stock so there is no rewiring or changing anything else. It does make a huge difference. As far as the headlights I looked online and at auto parts stores and I just couldn't find a high low beam 35W or 55W bulb to replace what we have. I think Ricksrb had found then but he said he couldn't remember where I believe. Rick - did you ever remember where?

No i couldnt find replacements. Ended up putting in 50 or 55 watt singles.

  10. Lived in Michigan, California, North Carolina, Georgia and now in southwestern Utah. Found the perfect spot for my wife and I. Winters are real miid with daytimes usually in mid 40s to 50s for only about 3 or 4 weeks. Spring and Fall are perfect. Middle of summer can get 100 to 110 but with dry heat your actually comfortable in the shade. This only last for about 5 to 6 weeks and summer nites are great. Can mountain bike year around. Can trail ride year around. Good people and endless neat places to explore. Can't think of another place I would like as much. Before we retired here, toured the south east coast, Florida, gulf coast and on up thru Navada up to Salt Lake City looking for a place t retire. At first didn't like this area when we heard of the 110 degree temps but soon found out that 110 degrees here is much better then 90 in Georgia with the humidity. Fell in love with what this area has to offer. Not moving.

    Lenny

On second thought i changed my mind. I want to move right next door to Lenny. With weather like that how could i not want to.(of course his shop and knowledge of my trooper had no bearing on that decision)

  11. No one else has found a cross reference for the bearing dispite trying. It's an odd balll size Silverbullet is the only one that has managed to sourse one from someone other then Joyner. The stock Joyner bearing seems to not hold up very well. Replace with tapered roller bearings and not ball bearings.

    Lenny

I thought rocmoc had found something very close.Have to do a search to find it if he doesnt chime in here soon.

  12. When I rewired my Trooper, I ran a piece of PVC pipe from the front to the rear. It's easy to bend into a curve where needed by heating it with a heat gun, or torch for that matter if your careful. I now can pull wires thru whenever I need to very easily.

    Lenny

    bruhaw,

you must have forgot but thats what i told i did when i ran the wires for the fuel controller up to the dash.
