  1. When I talked to the guys at Fox, they told me that you can only preload to coil bind. This is where the air space between coils is less than the amount of stroke left. I think I am close to this point now, I am pretty sure I should use a little heavier spring. I run from anywhere from 8 -15 psi depending on what I am doing. From what I can tell I should probably change the valving to a 40/60 in the rear, but what about up front?
  2. I recently purchased new shocks for my Trooper. I ended up buying fox reservoirs front and rear. I bought the 6 inch for the front and the 8.5 for the rear. The fronts came with a single 14 inch 250lb spring and bolted right in. The rears are setup with a 425 over 500 and needed a limit strap to limit the last bit of stroke. When I took it out for a ride it felt better than stock but still felt somewhat harsh on the sharper bumps (pot holes, rocks, etc.) My question is- Is the compression not right or the springs. I am pretty sure the 425 in the back is too light and I am probably gonna go to a 475. After preloading about an inch I still only have 9 inches of ground clearance. The rear feels softer, but not soft enough. The front strokes better but is still way too harsh. I am valved at 65/80 in the front and 70/90 in the rear. It seems like too much, but I am not sure. What do you guys think?
  3. I have an MPV insurance (multipurpose vehicle) at like 20 a month. I am with farm bureau.
  4. 2scoops has these tires. http://www.superatv.com/Dominator-ATV-Tire-For-14-Inch-Wheel-P963C709.aspx They also offer a 28.5
  5. I noticed they have this http://www.klung-motor.com/accessories-one.asp?news_id=982. Is this a different setup than the cvt?
  6. I received an email from Joyner USA a few weeks ago that they are working on an "automatic" that should be available soon.
  7. I went and read the article. I didn't see one positive comment from the other readers. I think Doug has decided to backtrack a little with his horrible response.
  8. The Afcos are bolt ins. Not too bad on price, but I don't know how well they work
  9. Went and watched the Parker 425 today. Got to see Robby Gordon and bj Baldwin in action. The trucks and buggies are awesome. I just wish my trooper handled like that . I will be back again to watch, it was pretty awesome.
  10. I am once again headed to Lake Havasu on Feb. 2 until the 9. If anyone is in the area, let me know.
  11. Can I do that without mods to the chassis, or should I do something like 2scoops( as his is the only I have seen in detail).
  12. I hate to bring this back up, but I want to know if anyone has " time tested" the Afcos from makin trax. I will be doing a shock upgrade before winter is over and I am curious to know if the Afcos are making difference or if I should do a more custom job. Thanks.
  13. Polaris just released their RZR 4 900, it's pricey, but I bet it's a fast machine.
  14. If you are looking around look at artic cat and demo a wildcat, they should be in dealers this month.
  15. Well, the weather isnt perfect here in Havasu, but it's better than the several inches of snow back home. I think we will be leaving by Wednesday or thursday.
  16. I am headed to Havasu this week. I leave on Thursday and will be there for a week or so. I won't have my Joyner, but I will have my dad's rzr4. Let me know if any of you guys will be there also.
  17. There is a picture of my broken swing arm on one of these threads. It it pretty similar to yours. We had it welded at the shop in moab and were back on the trail the next day
  18. I replaced mine with the standard oval type. Had to trim the thin metal mounts to make them fit, but the rubber mount they come with is all I needed to mount them. Then installed two small yellow LEDs for turn.
  19. I have had the Joyner branded hydraulic assit unit since they came out. There still seemed to be some play in the unit. After Lennys fix kit it really helped but there is till play in the assist unit at the steering wheel. I am not sure how similar this unit is to what you are looking at but that is my experience.
  20. Sounds like you guys have it about right.
  21. My new backseat. Idea thanks to 2Scoops. Kids love it and I don't notice any weight issues. Works great.
