  1. I've just sent a copy of the Trooper owners options manual out to your email address. It is large so don't give up on it when it's downloading. The heater unit is on page 30/31. Cheers Mike
  2. Here is an up an update with the new Trooper enclosures. No vinyl windshield enclosures have been made at this stage due to GCL being unhappy with the vinyl screen. The full enclosures with a Lexan Windshield are available now for $950 (less 20% discount on UTV Board at the moment) and for a personal opinion PM quig or 4X4X454 on UTV Boards for their take with the enclosures. There was one small problem, the quick release clamps dont come in the same size as the Troopers roll cage bars and 4x4x454 said it was tight getting it on around the light bar brackets, but they did go on. Other than that, both have said that they are very happy. James from Canada has not received his yet, but James, I will go on record here and say you will get one from me at cost at any time, weather it be a full enclosure with a Lexan Windshield, a vinyl Windshield or as you have indicated that you already have a Lexan Windshield on your Trooper, a full enclosure for a hard windshield. The Lexan Windshield is also available tinted. I will need another Trooper to visit GCL to re-check and re-fit for the vinyl screen. plumber, if you want a full enclosure for a hard windshield to go with your Lexan screen, you are the man for this job and you need to contact me now. I also need a Joyner Renegade R2 and R4 owner near Paris KY and needless to say, you will be looked after. Here are some photos of 4x4x454s Trooper with a Beige enclosure. Cheers Mike.
  3. Hey Quig, your probaly more bored now with out taste of music and seen as how your missing us all, the song below is just for you.
  4. Rick, email me at [email protected] and I will forward onto you the instructions you need for you enclosure. It's a file from the old Team Joyner crowd and I can not post it here. Here is my video in the theme of things for the rest of you. Oh yeah and roc, Micky J is both older and younger than you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxcvPFKgl2g&feature=related Cheers Mike.
  5. As many of you know, I recently started selling UTV Cab Enclosures and thanks to some of you right here, together we got the wheels in motion to get developed a new range of Enclosures and Lexan windshields for a Joyner Trooper. For that I will offer any of my products on my website at a discounted price for a limited time. We also make enclosures for Honda, John Deere, Kawasaki, Kubota, Joyner, New Holland, Polaris and Yamaha. Apart from a Joyner Renegade, all models for these brands are catered for. Hopefully a Renegade R2 & R4 wont be to far away. If you have a Renegade, want an enclosure & live near Kentucky, I would love to hear from you. The discount is 20% off the retail price for all my products shown on my website to anybody on UTV Boards for the Pacific Eagle UTV Enclosures. This is valid four weeks from today or until the 7th of December. These are premium cab enclosures so demand premium costing, so grab yourself a bargain. Key for discount is, just quote “UTV Board 20%”. Below is a range of two and four seater cab enclosures. My website is http://www.pacificeagleutv.com/ Cheers Mike.
  6. Not sure who looks at this site or not, but it has some really good articles. I just came across this one about welding out on the trails without welding gear & thought I would share. This is so easy and it never occurred to me, but no doubt some of you know about it. The link is http://utvweekly.com/index.php/2009/12/emergency-trail-welding/ and make sure you watch the video. Cheers Mike.
  7. Jeff, nice work. I have done something similar to your Inner Firewall Apron on a new Renegade. Its intention was to stop cow crap plastering all over the wires on the inside of the dash. I used the rubber packing mats that come with the UTVs in the crate and tie-on straps, but didn't look as good as yours. You have done a good job here, however I hope those magnets dont move to much with all the vibration. 10 out of 10 for thinking outside the box. If they fail, try some Velcro. That way you can still get in. I think this subject deserves its own thread. The Dirt shield is a good idea too and the new guards are an improvement from last time & will do the job. Here is an idea that you might want to contemplate. The new 2011 Troopers (when they are released) with have an oil cooler added, an air scoop on the side and a new modular safari bed. All three improvements are to help the engine run cooler. My idea for the current models is to incorporate a air scoop in the front to ram air onto the engine and or into the air filter. One hose for on-top of engine and one for the air filter. You have your Air filter moved up like a snorkel so no need to ram air into it from the front. It would not be too hard with flexi hose, even with a bonnet(hood) that opens like yours to put an air scoop on-top of the bonnet. Thats just in case you're looking for a new project, after you finish this one Jeff. Keep me up to date with your retractable top cover, who knows your design might be picked up. Cheers Mike.
  8. Jeff, thanks for coming on and telling your side of the story. There are always two sides, so it’s only fair we hear yours. There is no way I’m going to turn this into a big debate with you, so will keep it civil. You know what I think from reading this thread as does most people on UTV Boards. What I will say is, I look at what you have achieved in just about one year and it’s not good reading. If your relationship is (or was)not good with the manufactures, then let somebody else have a go for the good of the brand and for the customers that are staved of parts. Or get cracking with importing parts. The most important thing in this order is customers, parts, Dealers, relationship with the manufacture, stock, new models, accessories and advertising. Look after these in order and you will get paid back in ten-fold. If everything you say is true (& I have had contact from the manufactures in recent times) then get the parts flowing as soon as you can. You are right about a deposit for parts, I meant a deposit for new stock only. As for the abusive phone call, that’s a shame and there is no way I condone that behaviour, but it is fair to say that there are a lot of people who are very passionate for the Joyner brand. Tell us more about your parts and when they will be available. Cheers Mike.
  9. This is what one of my T4 customers did. Cheers Mike.
  10. Mud stopper half doors(dust stopper to you) would look good over them. Cheers Mike.
  11. I have the photos for the new Trooper enclosure. All three photos are showing a full cab enclosure with a Lexan Windshield. The soft full cab enclosure will look the same, but will have a Aqua-View Smoked vinyl windshield. (will post pics of these soon) The retail price for the full enclosure with the Aqua-View Smoked vinyl windshield will be set at us$650 including free shipping for the 48 US States. Alaska & Hawaii will be the same as international rates. The retail price will be cheaper for anybody who is a UTV Boards member. Contact me direct for a price. Also available will be the Lexan Windshield, Doors & rear window combo, Summer Cab/ Windshield-roof & rear window, just a roof cap, full cab with Lexan Windshield, mud stopper half doors and a full cab for a hard windshield. There are two Black full cabs with a Aqua-View Smoked vinyl windshield left in stock after our first run. Apologies for the long wait for those who were interested and also those who were not for what would be spam to you. Cheers Mike.
  12. I've got a few photos through for the enclosures. GCL UTV have not sent through the full enclosure pics yet but I do have the Lexan windshield and summer cab photos. A Summer cab is a plastic windshield, top cap and rear window. Plumber, that's one mean winch you've got, speaks volumes about where you drive. Anyway, a link to the photos is below. http://s814.photobucket.com/albums/zz68/nzutv4x4/Trooper%20Enclosures/
  13. Welcome Alex, awesome first post. Sounds like you will earn yourself a nick-name in no time like, "JL" and that would be short for Junior Lenny. Like Rick has said above, tell us more about yourself and full out your profile. As you have found out, there is plenty of info on the site and if you have advice or need it, don't hold back. Cheers Mike.
  14. theloser, I've just found your post and I must say, I'm shocked to read this. I always thought of Ruesch as a well organised UTV company. I've also read the link and that's not good reading. Could you please let us know more about you like rocmoc said above, just to make sure your not the scam, but in saying that, I'm willing to believe what you have said. Even if you want to P.M rocmoc (the super moderator) to confirm with him, but stay private. Wow, the world is going crazy. Cheers Mike
  15. Really sorry about such a long time without the Trooper, I had no idea it would be so long. I think your like the windshield and only hope that makes up for it. After Joe from GCL UTV takes photos of your Trooper with the Lexan Windshield and Full Enclosures it will be somewhat of a show-trooper taking it to star status. You could call it a Super Trooper as in the ABBA song. Well it will be used for advertising these two new produces for GCL UTV and my website Pacific Eagle UTV Enclosures & beamed around the globe anyway. I just had a thought, I hope you cleaned it first............... jokes. Joe and I really appreciate it plumber, nice one. (nice one is Kiwi lingo for good on yar) A big thank you to all that paid up front for one of the Joyner enclosures too, I needed these numbers before GCL UTV would do a new product and with your support we got it done together. Larry, otherwise know as Quig has ordered two more than he needed to make up the numbers. Larry, you made a deal with me that we would split the profit once the two extra enclosures were sold, sorry but I'm going to break that deal. You get the full 100% profit, end of. I don't care what you say, one good turn deserves another, so the first two sold at full retail price, will be yours. I know those up north like James in Canada and 4x4x454 in North Dakota will be very keen to get there enclosures as the temperature drops, so once again, apologies for the delay. Thanks Mike.
  16. Gumball, man I happy the two most important things survived the crash. You and your wife. Lets hope your insurance comes through. Not sure how it works over there, but if you do have to replace what was written off, I have it on very good authority that the new 2010/11 Trooper is bullet proof. Bold words indeed, but I don't doubt them, watch this space. I know all about busted ribs from my Rugby playing days. Not nice, but in time, they will heal. First step is getting both of you back on track health wise and then when the insurance co. pays out think of the fun you will have buying new toys. Take care, Mike.
  17. The Trooper enclosures are nearing design completion so not to long to wait now. I will have photos before you receive them and will post them here as soon as I receive them. Plumber, thanks once again for the use of your Trooper and sorry that it was needed for so long. Have you got a pick up date yet? Cheers Mike.
  18. Take that one step further and say 40 to 50 years down the road, the Chinese will have a strong middle class society, with a healthy hunger for the good life, but as their workers start getting paid well, what do you reckon will happen next? Africa will happen next, or India or maybe even South America. You and I will be gone but the cycle will continue. It's almost like a natural cycle you would think, but one thing is for sure though, "if you have had a taste of the good life and seen your country prosper, what's not natural, is to let standards slip". It's time for a strong leader to rise through the ranks and take control of all the B.S, not another puppet who's strings are pulled by those with hidden agendas and the real power. China has already had it's first strike at a Power sports factory at one of Hondas plants in China. They are hungry for money and this will snowball along with turnover. Regardless of what I have said and moving back onto the topic, the engine that J.D will now be using for their top of the line Gator, is far better than their old one and that is a fact, not IMHO but fact. Cheers Mike.
  19. What you have said above rocmoc, is the big picture and sadly very true. Unfortunately, manufactures in any first world country are not team players for the big picture, their only batting for themselves. This is natural, after all they are in competition with each other. I did read somewhere that what's happening now is what the World Bank and the U.N want. The plan is to even out the worlds wealth. Now if you already have that wealth and want to hold onto it, you are the target. You pointed out that this is all ready the case with the USA &Mexico. It's impossible to get every one to stand behind a made in America only policy, but that's the best way forward, but I'll explain the problem with that below. If John Deere went the other way and made a 100% American made Tractor or Gator again, they would get a lot of respect and sales, but IMHO in a failing economy, people who need a Tractor or UTV will go for the best one they can find, at the cheapest price and John Deere know it. A little bit of quality and a big saving will give you a nice turn over, but now China has upped their game and now is capable of pumping large amounts of quality products, we are all but caught in China's spider web. That been said, if you go out and get a bunch of old time cobblers together, form a new shoe company and make shoes to the old high standards that we were used to, advertise them as made in the USA, you will make millions. You might have to sell them for 4 times the price of imported shoes but they would outlast 10 of them, making them better quality and more economical than the imported ones. Global is not the answer for America nor here but this is the world we find ourselves in and with reference to the Power sports manufactures, only the smart ones will survive and they will do what the have to do, to stay one step ahead of the comp. Bearing in mind that a weak market is far more competitive then a strong market. Cheers Mike.
  20. It's a good move by John Deere for more than one reason. Cheaper, stronger, more power and yes Chery has a good name that's growing as fast as bamboo. John Deere's main reason is survival & unfortunately, that means sourcing more and more from off shore. Every big Powersports manufacture operates this way, with most American and Japanese brands having up to 5 manufacturing plants in China and or Taiwan. This wont put a dent in John Deere's good name, after all there only following a trend set by others, in order to get their products out in the market place at a competitive price. It's a bummer for the workers in America as it is over here, down under. All our car assembly plants have closed in NZ and thousands are out of work. Fisher and Paykle was voted NZs most trusted brand and what did they do, relocated to Mexico, lock, stock and barrel. At the end of the day, the Chery 812cc DOHC engine with 12 valves and 58hp, is a very good choice. Lenny, interesting what you say about No Limits. That just showcases just how poor JMC has been at supplying parts and if you look in JMC's website, the latest there is they state that they are experiencing significant difficulty getting parts for the Joyner vehicles from the manufactures. And that would be because you have not done anything all year JMC!!! Dealers have been screaming for parts all year that JMC would not import and now they try and turn it all around by blaming the Chinese manufactures. JMC, maybe the manufactures don't want to work in with you and your workload of next to zero? Fair not, Joyner parts will be available again and soon and for those Joyner dealers that weathered the storm, repay them by showing your support. For those dealers that have left Joyner because of JMC's debacle, you can't blame them and would like to think that they too could be supported by you for non-Joyner parts like aftermarket tires etc.. Cheers Mike.
  21. rocmoc, I have a contact for you at the tip of Baja. I'll P.M details. Cheers Mike.
  22. Awesome, what's the story about those rock buildings? We have lots of collapsed ones that are similar here called Beehive houses that date back many, many years. Cheers Mike
  23. You can fix it yourself. Take off the 4wd locker and open up. There is a pin facing forward from the electric locker so pull towards the rear when disconnecting from the Diff. Clean and spray gears and electrics with lots of Lithium Grease. Also spray around the seal before closing and screwing tight. This will help to keep the water out next time. I did this two years ago and is still going strong after fixing. You might find the long gear has popped up, inspect and push down into place. It could be stripped if you have left it running for to long. If this is the case then a new unit or a manual replacement will be needed. Cheers Mike.
  24. I now have the number to get this order made up by GCL UTV. plumber has talked to Joe at GCL and will be dropping his T2 off in the next week or two. Thanks to all of you that has helped me to get these out there. I will pass on the same price to any of you who would like one up to plumber dropping his Trooper off. If you are looking at maybe a Lexan windshield with a soft enclosure, let me know now and you can have one at cost. This includes those who have ordered a full soft enclosure replacing their other order. I would love to get one done now so I can get some photos. A big thanks to plumber for the use of his Trooper and Quig who has brought three. Joyner have dropped the stock Chinese enclosure manufacture and all going well, these will be replacing them. If anybody has a Renegade R2 or R4 that is in the market for an enclosure, please contact me. I will give you the same deal. Cheers Mike.
  25. If you translate the page using Google from Russian to English the article says in Russian but right at the top in English you will see Download in pdf here. Download it and then you can copy and paste it into a Russian to English on-line Translation website like this one here... http://webtranslation.paralink.com/ and read the article. Hint, don't copy and paste too much at one time. I've read the story and it's very interesting. It's called the Woodcutter and was built to go through dense wooded areas. I do like it, but realise it's not for every one. I also like the way they think outside the box. I might try and get one or two of them to post here just to get another point of view. Cheers Mike.
