Hey guys,

I have a 2012 Kawasaki Mule 4010 Trans Diesel. I need to find replacement for the wiring connector that attaches to the electric assisted steering motor, both male/female. The connector currently comes as part of the larger wiring harness, that is $315+, which absolutely drives me crazy. To spend $300+ for a $4 connector...crazy.

Does anyone out there have actual experience finding the connectors for the Mule?

I've tried...

cheapcycleparts.com

newunitedracetech.com

motorcyclepartscheap.com

cycleterminal.com

qualitycycleparts.com

The connector looks like a Sumitomo 6189-6953 2-way connector, but the measurements are just slightly different, and it's not in any of Sumitomo's catalogs. There are no part#'s, symbols, or other identifying marks on the connector. I've attached pictures to show what connector I am referring to.post-2117-0-44674600-1405975542_thumb.jpeg

I really need to find this and willing to pay a premium for the connectors, just not insanity payment. Thanks be to anyone who can help.

What exactly is wrong with the female portion of the connector?  It looks okay unless there's a broken connection inside the connector.  I presume the male connector is okay.  You can replace the pins on many connectors without replacing the housing.  If the wire is broken inside, you might be able to pop out the broken one (with a small pin probe) and solder or otherwise remake the connection.

I have, in the past, cut off the bad connector, crimped on a matching solderless connector to the individual wires and plugged the wires back into the circuit.  Not on any ATV or UTV, but I have done it on my truck because the connector was more expensive that I thought is should be.  Desperate times call for desperate measures.

2022 Coleman 400 with 13 hours on the engine and the mice got to it. Every wire coming out of the steering column in one cluster has been eaten through. I tried reconnecting matching wire colors to each other and I get the left turn signal and hazards to work, nothing else. If I play around a bit I can get the horn to honk or headlights to come on but only when I connect them to the brown wire. Obviously I don't know what I am doing here. Does anyone have a picture of how these wires are connected when they are under the hood on the drivers side coming from the steering column?
Gray - seems to carry power
      Brown - left turn signal
Green with purple stripe - hazards?
Pink with red stripe - horn?
      Green - head lights?
      Yellow - head lights?
      Yellow with red stripe?
      Blue?
      Dark green?
There is also a bundle hanging under the hood not connected to anything green with yellow strip, brown and blue?
Other than that issue, I am about ready to sell this for parts if you interested let me know.
      Thanks

I recently purchased a 2019 or 2020 (no manual) Massimo 400S Buck Series UTV.  It ran fine for a couple days but the low battery light was flashing while it drove.  It then died in the field one day and I was able to jump the battery and get it rolling enough to get back to the barn.  It started both times I turned the key for a couple days after and when driven died 10 minutes later in the driveway.  Even after jumping it had no juice, but with the key out of the ignition it kept trying to start, a quick look on the Google machine and it suggested starter solenoid or ignition switch was the culprit.  Fair enough, let's just order a replacement solenoid, right?  No way Jose....the pin connector on the UTV is a 2-pin white plastic connector and the part received is a 4 pin.  How do I swap that and make it work?  Can I even?  Where do I find correct parts in the future?

I have been searching and can't find much info on these units. Pretty surprising as every other thing I own I find a lot of info on. Researching for tech info and such it's like no one owns any of these yet I see them everywhere.

Pulled fuel injector to see if I could clean it or if it's stuck open. Had a slide on clip that was really tough to get off. Don't see how the clip is supposed to lock into the plastic part that the injector slides into. Any videos or pics of injector replacement?
