I like it OK, gotta get a battery maintainer on it. Battery went down in the last cold snap, charged it up and it's fine, but a maintainer would be better. It sits outside, so the camo is turning white.

Maybe a cover or a tarp? I wasn't aware that the camo would fade.

My Axis 500 which is a Hisun, went from $7999 when I bought in April, to $8999 near the end of the year.  I'm a veteran, so buying it from Lowes gets me a 10% discount.  Now if I could find someone near me to work on it if I need it.  Another dealer that sells Hisuns won't work on it because I didn't buy it from them.  Luckily nothing has happened to it.  It also has a two year warranty.

Not the first time I've heard that about these stores. Not sure why they would sell any kind of power equipment without being able to answer questions from the purchaser. I take it they didn't speak with you about the warranty?

Thanks, but I did that already.  I did a lot of research on these before I bought it, and figured that if I have to pay I'm still saving something.  I have a repair service that will will on it but they won't do warranty work because they don't pay worth a crap. Hope they'll reimburse me . It'll work out.  Might not even need them.

Your unit's manufacturer. Go to the link. It will give you a service locations. It will also show how to register the unit for the warranty.

lol     Massimo /HISUN Warrantee??  lol .... Massimo shows 3 shops within 200 miles of me... NONE will work on them now because Massimo does not pay them for warrenty claims.. EVER!  One  small independent shop near me will work on them but requires CASH up front because parts can take months to come in.

Hey Joe! I was waiting for you to chime in.

I'm not sure where the UTV is manufactured. The website sure doesn't look like it's from China, so maybe he could luck out and get some warranty work done, if needed. I know it's a Hisun engine, but not sure about the rest.

ALL Massimo Parts are made in China , and shipped to Dallas TX and assembled there ..   The HISUN engines are also assembled in Dallas from Chinese manufactured parts.  I know because mine overheated on its very first day and I managed to talk to a tech in Dallas at the assembly facility .. He got me back in motion.. But that didnt last long. The overheating became chronic and EXPENSIVE because Massimo wouldnt pay the repair bills. Their warranty is non-existant . They have stopped using HISUN engines now, they use LINHAI engines .. Cant say if they are better or not.

I called one of the service centers near me in Battle Creek, and they said they used to be a retail dealer but are only a service center now.  No problem with them working on the Axis. Got 300 miles on it and thinking I should have the valves adjusted just for good measure.

Mine has the Hisun engine. So far so good. No overheating issues. I do need a little more powerful battery. It starts right up, but it doesn't crank over very fast.

I suggest you have them check the cooling system and retorque the head bolts

I am looking to buy a small UTV to do work around my property and priced a brand new Massimo T-Boss 560 through Lowes @ $10,500 out the door or a Dealer sold CFMOTO Uforce 600 at $11,500 out the door.    Are there any glaring reasons to go with the Uforce 600 at an extra $1000?  Is one model more reliable than the other?  Any input greatly appreciated.

Riding out today it acted like it ran out of gas,  stalled and died and would not start.   Towed back to house,  New  plug added this past month,  plenty of oil, getting plenty of gas, battery cranks good.   Trys to kick in and starts but doesnt.   Two days prior while sitting at a idle it died.  Added gas and it started did my ranch chores with it.  But just now it stalled out cranks but will not start.   Tried to find if fault codes came up on the clock like manual says but not sure I am doing that right.  Any and all help apprecated.  Thank you

2018 Massimo MSU 700 EFI. I realize that this engine is essential the same as in all of the HISUN based Yamaha clones out there. I am in the process of performing a top end diagnosis/rebuild. I have an AMAZON top end rebuild kit on order in anticipation of this activity.
Question 1:  When exploring the myriad of top end rebuild kits on the market for these units there are some cylinder assemblies that have "686 cm3" badging next to the cam cain tensioner boss. Others compatible with the unit do not have this badging. The existing cylinder assy does not have the 686 badging. I am assuming that this simply verifies that the cylinder assy is for a 686 cm3 engine which of course the stock 700 series HISUN engines are. Am I missing something here or is this just a manufacturer artifact? With or without the badging the application listings all indicate compatibility with the MSU 700 series engines.
Question 2:  I have reviewed at minimum a dozen videos associated with this rebuild. To date I have not found one that deals with piston/cylinder clearance and/or ring gap verification. The advertised specifications for these various "top end rebuild kits" all indicate: Cylnider bore = 102mm and piston diameter=101.5mm. The math yields a .5mm (as in 1/2 mm) difference. That seems to be a very large piston/cylinder clearance.  I realize I am referencing advertised specs rather than emperically measured values but the numbers have gotten my attention.  I have referenced the FSM and found it to be somewhat confusing in this regard. Hopefully the experts on this forum can enlighten me as to where my observations are faulty here.
Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated .
      Thank you all in advance,
      Chile
