wet clutch

i have a 2011 hisun ys 400 and i can't seem to keep a wet clutch in it . is there any upgrades or heavy duty clutches for these machine

gotting a little expensive putting 300 dollars in it every 2 years

I use the 10W40 ACTEVO from Castrol for WET CLUTCH applications ....... use it in my Massimo MSU 500, used it for many years in my Honda ATVs and my Katana Sportbike.. Change them once a year, Never had a wet clutch fail yet

I was told by a mechanic at Motorcycle Doctor to use an oil fill extender tube which allows you to fill the crankcase to the very top , adding almost an additional 1/2 qt. of oil He said that this will cure wet clutch issues . I've been doing that for years and never had an issue. I was concerned that doing this would build up too much crankcase pressure but not so.

Wow!.. That seems counter to everything I know about engines.... The piston creates pressure in crankcase as it travel downward .. if theres no airspace , to absorb it, the pressure plus the expansion of oil that is hot, should force oil thru the rings and into combustion, fouling plugs . ...and with higher level of oil, the crankshaft is submerged and begins whipping the oil into a foamy mess.. foam does not lubricate .. thus bearing damage occurs .. plus the pressure causes oil leaks to start. maybe you are just at the critical level ? Dont know, but I fill mine to high side of mark with dipstick not screwed in ... never had a clutch fail in a dozen ATV, UTV over 40 years ... and NEVER use full synthetic oil for cars in them... only wet clutch oil

Are you changing the drum also? Oil filter?

Have you checked the oil passages to make sure they are clear?

Maybe a more regular/frequent oil change? Different oil brand? Different filter brand?

Don't use the clutch as a brake.

What I mean is, don't use the gas pedal to keep you from rolling backwards while facing uphill.

Make sure the vehicle is able to be pushed by hand I on a level surface. Maybe brakes are sticking. Or bearing issues.

Steep inclines in high gear?

Maybe change the settings on the pre-load spring on the cvt primary drive clutch. You may lose a little topend and holeshot. But could last longer.

OEM tire size?

Just a few thoughts.
