  5. I have a part that fell over to the exhaust and burned the harness up. I can't figure out what it is. Does anyone know what the start relay looks like? The part I can't figure out has 4 wires, a red power, a green and brown wire, a black and unsure what the 4th color was. Anyone have a clue?
  6. I’m looking for a quiet side by side for my wife and I. We will do some trail riding but nothing too extreme. We are more geared toward leisure riding since we are in our sixties. We go to Wyoming in the summer and have been looking at the Honda Pioneer 1000, can am defender.
  7. Put a new carb on the 500 to replace the leaking OE one. Machine idles fine and mid and top end runs great. It tends to have a hesitation right from the start - bottom end. Thinking it may be the air/fuel screw?? I didn't do anything with the carb out of the box and is it direct replacement for my machine. Of interest is the manual choke doesn't seem to work very good now.... wonder is it getting too much air? Any help appreciated!

  9. Yes, I can understand that, and yes, I did tap the main relay quite a bit, it's quite different from normal relays... Honestly, I can get the cover off of a normal relay and visually inspect it... I'll share a pic of it, I ordered one off of Amazon, waited for it to fail again, replaced it, and no more trouble!

  11. Okay folks. I have a low power issue. Been like this for a few years. Place I work at bought 3 and all have lost most of the pulling power. They gave them away after local shop worked on one for 3 months and it had great power for about 1 month and then crap. They replaced throttle body, fuel injector, spark plug and IAC motor. Seat belt switches have wires cut and left open so no seat belt warning light anymore. It revs to 6k rpm in neutral but when put in gear and take off in low it just doesn’t seem to want to go anymore. Running 93 octane fuel with Stabil. Any ideas greatly appreciated. I dont have a scan tool but no codes on dash. If held to floor it pops a little and runs almost 5K rpm but if I let off pedal about an inch it smoothed out and revs up to 6k rpm.
  12. Hello, Hope someone can help driver side cv axle broke anyone know of aftermarket ones you can get, I have 40 Hours on the machine and don't want to pay 450.00 for a new one from cub cadet but I can't find anything after market
  13. Live in the mountains and need lower gear to climb at lower speeds and to hold back coming down.
  14. Can't really tell from the video, but it's not uncommon to "stretch" the timing chain and have it jump timing. It would run poorly and make a rattling from the chain case. Can you check the timing? There are manuals in the download section. Most timing chain stretching is due to wear on the chain pins, probably due to bad lubrication or excessive wear metals in the oil.
  15. Relay sticking? Any corrosion visible? If it does it again give it a sharp tap with the bandle of a screwdriver and see if it resolves temporary. Most relay failures I've seen are due to arcing on the contacts or corrosion from water getting inside. They're not well sealed.
  16. Highly recommend you get the setup described in this post for further troubleshooting: Is it overheating? Does the fan come on? Any other symptoms? Any codes on the display? The scanner info above will allow you to see what all the ECU sensors are seeing and you can troubleshoot what could be a sensor issue, as well as codes and pending codes (which won't show on the display)
  17. I don't believe it would fit. Any particular reason why? Are you just towing/plowing at low speeds?
  18. Yep. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Probably something stupid we're missing, but hard to guess. You could try swapping your fuse box and ecu to your buddies rig and see if it starts. I would bet something else got disconnected, or it's possible you just have a bad crank position sensor, but like I said troubleshooting that is hard, without an oscilloscope. That would be my most likely guess, but I don't know that I would throw parts at it without being able to determine it was bad.
  19. Is it possible to add a low gear to the Coleman ut400? If so please help. Ty
  20. Is there anyway to add a low gear to Coleman ut400? Probably silly question but still asking. Ty
  21. For the life of me I cannot find the directions on how to change the display to the standard for the USA - MPH. Not sure why Tractor Supply didn't do it before I bought it but it is what it is. Does anyone have the instructions to do this. I have the 2023 T Boss 550 just to be clear.
  22. What's the best sport UTV / SxS? Varius opinions from the Can-Am Maverick to the Polaris RZR. A few videos that do a pretty good job on reviews and offering their thoughts on the best sport UTV / SxS on the market. 😁 Post your thoughts!
  23. Update: my dealer found the remote. Serial number matches the receiver module. I've picked up the remote but haven't tested yet.
  24. if you can climb into a UTV, you would have much more mobility and probably spend 1/2 the money of a trackchair
  25. For ability to get around your UTV/atv is much more capable than any existing wheelchairs including the track style. Their range is very limited and they are not good on wet slippery surfaces or any kind of steep hill or sidehill. Can you modify or have somebody else modify your side by side to make it easy to access. Looking at your side by side it looks like some overhead straps could help your access. You didn't mention if you are paraplegic or quadriplegic.

  28. Just a quick update, I believe the problem is the main relay. This is not a serviceable part. It's not the small box with some fuses that some models have, it's one small relay plugged into a wiring harness. Weird thing, I happened to be walking by it, turned the key, and it magically worked! At least I was able to get it back home!

I just bought my first SxS.   (XP 4 1000) I have ridden and raced dirt bikes for 40+ years.  Old age has set in and I needed a new format to continue my off road adventures.  My wife and I enjoy exploring old mining sites and ghost towns all over Arizona.  We have a home in Southern Arizona and share our time between home and Phoenix.  We look forward to the tips and information shared here.
